Thats a rare sight to see, a mere two point difference between the winner and runner-up.
Great hosting @revo :verily well done
There are a lot of questionable placings, including Shinobu winning this, but oh well, all is fun.

Tanjirou deserved first place! :scry

He is one of the most lovable MCs I have ever seen in Shonen and doesn't exactly fit into most of the common tropes associated to the genre. His kindness and charisma affected me as much as it affected his friends and acquaintances.

Through the series it felt like I was seeing a son that I wanted to cheer on.

:notsure

I mean, I love Shinobu. She's one of my absolute favorite characters in the series, and has the best aesthetic design by far, but man does this seem like a stretch. I feel like the argument for this would be better if...

...the doma fight didn't waste her character. If she's had some sort of satisfying conclusion instead of dying for an overt attempt at giving Kanao some form of a boost by involving her and trying to set up some sort of cumulative accomplishment. Then shortly after undercuts all of it even further by having Tamayo do something VERY similar to Muzan but with more of an effect on the overall story. Thereby downplaying the meaning of her sacrifice. It's just such a shitshow.

Still I can't really be upset about a great character being given slightly too much credit. Definitely beats out like the Naruto list's Itachi situation.

Thank you everyone for playing!
This was my last round to host, but it was somehow more work that the previous one.

This round has a mix of manga readers, anime watchers, and people who decided themselves based on looks (great criteria by the way). I greatly enjoyed this round, and I hope everyone did too despite some results that aren't gonna please everyone.

To those Kimetsu fans: I hope you enjoyed with your fave characters!
And those who never tried KnY: I hope you enjoyed too somehow! And that the manga art, fanarts o characters in general made you interested in the series (in a way).

(Quick data:
Tanjiro was first palce, and Shinobu second, until @Brandish μ updated his list.
So give your thanks and tears to him).

Thank you again for playing!

Oh, Shinobu won? I don't mind, as her voice was so soothing.

Tanjirou may not have been my favorite character, but he is by far the best Shounen protagonist in ages. He had come at an especially good time when I was reading Nanatsu no Taizai and had to deal with Meliodas. So I give him props for that alone.

Shinobu is...alright. She was indeed a rather complex character and I wish she got more to do. Her estate was more prominent than she was. I think I'd come around to her more if she did a bit more in the series.

Damn no one voted for Enmu. Thought the hype of the movie would give him some fans between anime-onlies, but he didn't got anything lol.

No surprised about Kaigaku and Nakime not receiving votes at all, one was pretty much made to give something to do to Zenitsu in the last arc, while the other didn't receive characterization at all and her only contribution to the story was giving Muzan a cool base (still sad we never got to see anything of her personality or background )

Was tempted to give some vote to Nakime, ngl, but ended giving it to chad Murata instead lol.
