Well, Phantom seer, HSF and OBO are going to have those extra chapters that are short.
Except GT (like Boruto it wasn't written by Toriyama) started very shortly after the Z anime ended and ended up being a disappointment which damaged the brand to the point where we got no new Dragon Ball material outside budget video games for a decade.
If this keeps up, Oricon’s gonna be borderline useless for non-Jump manga, it seems. We might need a Top 100.
I really hope they either bring the top 100 back or make a separate chart for backlogs, but this is probably wishful thinking.

There are fans who have loved stuff like Broly ... they'll like this outcome too.

Even Super in theory ...
Broly Movie was actually good. And at the very least, even if you don’t like it, it feels very “Toriyama” and captures the spirit of the original series.
What you just typed doesn’t make sense. You use Toriyama’s writing to say that people will like the writing from a different person.
Super, prior to this arc wasn’t very good either. But it’s biggest problem was being a very cooperate series, filled with fan service for the sole purpose of driving Dragon Ball merch sales.
But Super with everything attached to it (including movies, except the first where Bills is introduced which still works because it has the novelty factor) is a fanfiction, with the difference that fans take it seriously because there is the name of Toriyama .

But the Dragon Ball Super manga is being written by Toriyama. Or at least he's heavily supervising it, changing even small details like character poses and parts of the dialogue.
