I don't think he'll ditch the concept completely. I would imagine if two by four was introduced it'd be much later on may be similar to something like Terry from Toriko. It does seem like he's going for a different approach.
Another reason I say this, and admittedly it’s pretty shoddy reasoning, is because there’s been no promo for architecture. With the one shot, architecture and the MC were showcased.

That actually sounds like an interesting concept. I wouldn't mind a series about a team of craftsmen traveling the country to restore a bunch of 'haunted' abandonned buildings from different places and time periods.
