Question: Did Kishimoto’s ever state that he had intended on ending Samurai 8 in 10 volumes? Cause that was a response that came up to someone who had this line of thinking. I find it REALLY hard to believe that considering... how Samurai 8 began and all.
Not really, he just answered a question on how long it'd be saying "10 volumes for now", but also mentioned how he initially thought naruto would be 15 volumes but it always ends up being longer right after...the intention was very likely to have it run long as long as it got good reception.
