I think Mashle circulation numbers will come out by January when the 5th volume is out, maybe reach 200k as well.

Also think Phantom Seer would've been in a better position if the series was more of horror mystery rather than horror action. I like it a lot but it hasn't done anything to distinguish itself yet.

I think it’s got a good blend of all of those. It kind of reminds me of early Bleach. I think it just needs a long overarching arc i.e. its own “SS arc” to rise a bit in popularity. But first, it needs two things: stable footing in sales, or the editorial department giving it enough of a leash to let it enter a major longer-running arc.

That´s much earlier than I was initially expecting. Let´s see what kind of ending Fujimoto has prepared.

Does this mean Chainsawman and WNL are both ending on issue #2? Or will the latter get an extra chapter after the end of the current route?

Ah, there we have it. So Chainsaw Man ending on #2 with 97 chapters in 11 volume, around where I expected (though I thought maybe 98 would be the final chapter). It's a shame it's ending since it's consistently been one of my favourites to read each week but it also feels correct with how insane things have been of late. Fingers crossed for that anime announcement next week as well.

Could We Never Learn then be getting some sort of one-off epilogue chapter and ending in #3-4 then? Surely both would be advertised to be ending on #2 otherwise.

Makes sense why Moriking's getting a bit of an extension then if not just WNL but also CSM is ending before the new year breaks.

I'm starting to wonder this. Imagine Golem Hearts started serialization last September, like ObO. Would have it avoided the U19 under these current Jump circunstances?

With CSM and AA both out of the picture now, no wonder Jump is being more lenient with new series.

Those two series were supposed to be future pillars. Nak even cited them specifically in interviews, IIRC.

I’m sad about this. Thankfully, Build King is here to save me from complete despair. I just hope it survives.

I honestly always felt that just randomly ending on the final chapter of the final route would feel weird and anticlimactic.
