Wow, what a TOC to kick off the year.

• Chainsaw Man ending, fingers crossed for that anime announcement.
• Magu-chan in 3rd place!!! What the heck. Congrats to its fans, this is the boost it definitely needed. A few more of these and it might just be as secure as Me & Roboco.
• Speaking of, Me & Roboco still comfortable at 6th place (yay!).
• Hope The Promised Neverland side story will be translated with the rest of the magazine, I imagine it will.
• High School Family out of the bottom 5, interesting. Hard-Boiled Cop and Dolphin dropped again.
• Moriking and Agravity Boys still in the bottom but neither in the bottom 2 spots...
• Phantom Seer... not looking good. I really hope that early 2nd volume isn't an indication of this getting a rushed ending when the next batch of cancellations happen, but this isn't hopeful.

Holy shit, go Magu-chan, now that’s a come back. Happy for it. Also guess it’s good bye time to Chainsaw Man now, was definitely sooner than expected, just hope it’s a solid and decent finale.

Also guess the big announcement could be narrowed down to a few things but hopefully it is what we all expect it is

Ah, there we have it. So Chainsaw Man ending on #2 with 97 chapters in 11 volume, around where I expected (though I thought maybe 98 would be the final chapter). It's a shame it's ending since it's consistently been one of my favourites to read each week but it also feels correct with how insane things have been of late. Fingers crossed for that anime announcement next week as well.

Could We Never Learn then be getting some sort of one-off epilogue chapter and ending in #3-4 then? Surely both would be advertised to be ending on #2 otherwise.

Really doubt that. Taishi already tweeted his last manuscript and I don’t see him pulling some sort of switcheroo announcing a harem route.

Same. Even though I consider it the best of its batch. The series is actually GOOD. It just needs a major arc to kick it into high gear.

I don’t think he’ll do a Harem route, or a new route all together. But I think there will be some sort of sendoff chapter, rather then it just ending with Naruyuki and Teacher getting together, and just a big “the end” at the bottom of the page.

I don’t think he’ll do a Harem route, or a new route all together. But I think there will be some sort of sendoff chapter, rather then it just ending with Naruyuki and Teacher getting together, and just a big “the end” at the bottom of the page.

Yeah my guess was more an epilogue chapter that perhaps touches on the multi-route universe. Maybe it's still ending next week as we'd expect with Sensei, but a one-off chapter wouldn't surprise me either.

Once both Chainsaw Man and We Never Learn end in a couple weeks Mission: Yozakura Family will now be the 6th oldest in the magazine, but even more wild is that Agravity Boys will be the 7th oldest. WSJ 2021 is off to a memorable start, lol.

I don't know how to feel about this ToC. Magu-chan is high, which makes me happy, but Honomieru Shounen doesn't deserve being dead last.

Chainsawman was what replaced HxH last time it went on hiatus so maybe Togashi will now return to fill the hole left by CSM.. or maybe not. I really think he is returning this year though.

Well, I guess that's it for Chainsaw Man. Even though it's sad to already say goodbye to one of my favorite current series, it's good to see Fujimoto ending it as his wants. It was a wild ride, now hoping for a quality anime to do the manga justice.

With the anime coming back this was obvious. It would either get the cover for issue #2 or the LCP for issue #3-4.​

Which makes me curious to see which series will take the LCPs for the double issues. Realistically speaking, Jump only gives those LCPs to their front runners (unless you're Dr. Stone getting the LCP for issue #4-5 of 2017 at 40 chapters lol), so right now the series with the highest chances of getting one of the LCPs are One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen and My Hero Academia. Chainsaw Man is ending and Dr. Stone already has the LCP for issue #2, which drastically reduces its chances of getting one of them. It is possible that they give both to One Piece since chapter 1000 is happening on issue #7, but I still think that's too much workload for Oda and he is only getting one of them then another one for issue #7. Jujutsu Kaisen is highly possible since the anime is making waves and with Akutami getting yet another break, the possibilities increase. Out of the 3 aforementioned, My Hero Academia has the least chances but they could give it for the climax of the current arc. Black Clover is the next in line in terms of size/popularity but it pales in comparison to the other 3. However, since they are so short of veteran and very popular series, I wouldn't be surprised if it got one LCP. Would be really surprised if one of the newbies got a LCP then.​

Wouldn't it likely be a group cover for #3/4 and One Piece for #5/6 since that should be where the 1000th chapter is published (assuming Oda doesn't take a break in #2 or #3/4, which seems unlikely)?

The group cover will be interesting to see how all the newbies balance out. I imagine Mission: Yozakura Family, Mashle, Undead Unluck, and Ayakashi Triangle might all be a bit bigger with the rest somewhat similar.

Chainsaw Man ends in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #2. An Important Announcement is scheduled for the series in the same issue.

So there it is. Chainsaw Man literally ends next week. A 97-chapter, 11 volume run. Hopefully it isn't rushed.
Also, I'm hoping the announcement is the anime since I predicted that the anime would be announced at aboutt he same time as the series ends. xD

Wonder when We Never Learn is ending. The final name has been completed, after all, so it's really only a matter of time. Perhaps an epilogue chapter? Who knows.
