Ground Rules for the Power Level Discussion Thread

As always, please follow the guidelines set by the Forum Rules that apply across the board.

It's important that discussions from a current chapter are spoiler tagged until 24h have passed from an english release.

• For the sake of constructive discussion, where and when possible please quote/ source any information you provide. Particularly when it comes to conversations carried over from other threads.
• Avoid passive agressive posts, sly remarks or baiting/trolling. You can certainly have fun or disagree without it being at someone's expense.
• Only use anime examples that are canon and as means to provide clarity to pages in the manga. Any other anime material is otherwise non-canon and should only be referenced if it can be proved that the mangaka had approved it.
• We will strive to avoid repetitive discussions and any extensive battle topics will be guided to the Davy Back fight to existing threads or new ones can be made there.

As of now these topics are shelved due to repetitiveness or until the manga can present us with material to further discussions:

This is the only warning there'll be regarding these ground rules, anything no adhering will be removed. So please just check your posts before posting them.

It could happen. They could even reveal his fire powers to be genetic-based, since he doesn't even need to spin anymore to set his foot ablaze, but I feel like him having "super genes" would ruin his mother's character arc in a way. It's cool that he was born "normal" yet able to become a high tier character.

I usually find characters born from normal backgrounds before becoming strong to be far more interesting than characters that are strong because of pre-birth reasons, so I would like his future power ups to be just born from training.

We will see, though, Oda already took a weird turn when he gave him the raid suit as a power up.

I don't read MHA much, but it would be the same as how Shoto Todoroki accepted his fire power. Sanji would still have his mum's kindness, hence why he would have the superior gene in the end. Judge would realise that raising a kid with love is more effective than emotionless kids.

I am also a fan of a nobody becoming super strong. However, we have to be realistic with Sanji. Luffy has bloodline and so might Zoro as well. Luffy and Zoro had top teachers. For Sanji to keep up, it has to be something believable. Raid suit was such example.

Think Coby and Aisa. He literally "heard" it with his haki. Or are you saying his hearing is so accurate that he heard through normal sound waves while running on the steps? As other people have said it's literally an application of haki and emotion. Obviously it's being done during the gag but it's still haki.

What modifications would you like to see Franky and Ussop add to Sanji's Raid Suit?

Being undamaged by an Ancient Zoan's piercing damage is quit impressive by itself but beyond invisibility i would like to see something accenting his flame based powers or a way to increase the heat of his flames? Perhaps blue flames?

Release of gas or oil to enhance Sanji's flame attacks or make it longer-ranged. Defense is there, speed is there, but having more enhanced/powerful attacks would do WONDERS

Now that is SO Usopp. Before the timeskip he had an oil-based attack and also a Gas Dial. Since he seems to need to use them now that his attacks are plant-based, he can give both of them to Sanji's Raid Suit.

Let’s talk about current SH Power levels..

How are Usopp & Nami gonna win their round 2 vs P1 & Ulti. Usopp is lacking A Lot of firepower to hurt P1, who we’ve seen endure blows from RS Sanji. Nami has BM Cloud but with Zoan’s recovery time she needs more...How are they gonna win??

Jimbei I believe is gonna mid diff his fight. Doubt Who’s Who is gonna give him too much trouble.

Robin needs to hurry and switch out Sanji...Still think Robin will have her hands full no pun intended, with BM.

Franky, is gonna go terminator on Sasaki. Shogun I’m afraid will get destroyed. But Franky is gonna pull out a Full Cola Radical Beam for the win imo.

Nami will get back Zeus and there was an aspect of her Weatheria tech that Usopp couldn't figure out. I imagine Zeus will complete that.

Usopp has haki and has only shown a few Pop Green types. He may have also upgraded his Kabuto. Usopp specializes in set ups, so Page One (assumedly) will be in a position that'll leave him extremely vulnerable. Maybe Usopp will trick him into turning human and finish him off like that.

Don't need to worry about Jinbe.

Robin hasn't fought in a long time. She has plenty to potentially show. Including an entire giant clone.

Franky needs to show off what his real body can do some more. It's either that or General Franky 2.0.

Brook needs hardening. If he can combine his haki with his soul freeze, he'll be in a good place.

Chopper needs more Rumble forms. Honestly anything would better than what he's shown.

yep, but I dunno how much it'd enhance Sanji's DJ or fire kicks as opposed to addign range to it.

Honestly, I can see Usopp pulling something out to beat Page One. Have we seen him go all out?

Franky and Robin aren’t no damn YC tier and I don’t know why Zoro is being paired with Luffy. No SH besides Luffy deserves the benefit of the doubt above a YC. A third in command like Cracker was giving Luffy a tough time, dare I say Luffy would have lost to Cracker on Whole Cake if not for Nami.

I doubt Luffy after all his power ups is legitimate top tier, let alone anyone else in the crew. Zoro, Sanji and Jinbei would be lucky to knock off an All Star in this arc.

Kaido, Mihawk and Akainu are most likely on their level or above

She made it soft enough so he could break it and eat the biscuits to replenish his energy.

Most likely, Luffy would have lost or have had to run away from the fight.

From what we saw, only gear 4 could break through the soldiers but still couldn't get to cracker. When time ran out Luffy was screwed and out of energy. However, Nami made it possible to break the soldiers even in base form and also eat to replenish energy so he could go gear 4 again.

Even with Nami Luffy would have lost if Cracker didn't lose his cool. Anyway there is no "ifs" in a story, Cracker lost and that's that.

I honestly feel like Luffy could have come up with the plan earlier, but I don't remember if he'd have run out of Gear 4 before realizing how strong the biscuits' defense were

Marco is not a top tier. A top tier is Kaido, Big Mam, Shanks. And Zoro is not on Marco's level.

It seemed like an on the fly thing. Luffy is dumb in general but a genius fighter.

Jinbei could probably deal with Cracker because he can weaken the biscuits. Zoro and Sanji tho... Like I said, neither of them deserve the benefit of the doubt above a YC. Katakuri is smoking Zoro, Karakuri was BULLYING Luffy until he pulled a haki zenkai boost out of his ass.

Just a quick question about katakuri, does his fight against luffy showed us the real katakuri's fighting style? I mean.. I dont know why but in my head right now i kind off thinking that katakuri actually doesn't fight like what he showed against luffy becaue in that fight he actually try to copy luffy way of fight but wanted to show luffy that he could do it multiple times better..
