I'd laugh if it did another random new arc out of nowhere, but I suspect the first time only happened because of Act-age's sudden cancellation and it would've ended during the Build King/Sakamoto batch otherwise (it definitely feels like a last minute way to stretch the ending out for a few more issues).
There is really no reason for them to not end something with Moriking sales because Act Age was suddenly canceled, they would just axe it if was the time, these things are not decided/planned in 1/2 weeks and we know authors are some issues ahead of the actual publication so it was simply not ending at that time, the same thing with Mitama Security and that "final arc" that wasn't the end as most thought.

Shinuki, Moriking only damages. He doesn’t have good sales and keeping him just hinders the space to have series that can have better sales and attract more audiences.

Things being planned well ahead and WSJ knowing poll results and such much earlier is exactly why I think it could've been extended due to Act-age.

Jump would've already known by that point that Moriking would be getting put at the very bottom of the ToC for a long stretch in addition to selling worse than Ghost Writer, so chances are they would already be planning to cancel it next batch with the writer and editor planning out the final arc.

Then it suddenly didn't need to get cancelled so they had to add an extra arc after the planned finale. If Act-age wasn't cancelled, WSJ would've had 22 series at once for several issues which I don't they'd do these days.

I just checked now when Act-Age was canceled and what was happening in Moriking to remember, and the series wasn't even in the supposed final arc, AA was canceled in the issue #36/37, Moriking was at chapter 15 and the thing people thought was the final battle arc with the big boss introduction started at chapter 22 in issue #44 and ended at chapter 27 with the supposed "extention" of the series at chapter 28 on issue #50.

You're getting everything mixed, what you're calling "final arc" started like 2 months after Act-Age was canceled and ended even later, the series wasn't ending at all when AA was canceled and they didn't had any reason to not cancel it when BK and SD started at #50 and #51 if it was the plan, it was just not ending.

I once said this could become bigger than spy lol
I’m really happy for the author, although the popularity is literally beyond me. It went from great to bad and generic in a matter of few chapters and it never recovered imo. Anyways, 430K is damn impressive for just the 1st volume, congrats’!

Ahh Black Clover at 20th, great to see, now we go for 2021, hopefully another good year for the franchise
I hate to be repetitive but once again, it's because of Snowman's song being tagged under BC despite not really being BC earnings...without that it wouldn't even be close to be in this chart.

Note how it's the only manga franchise in there where the most earnings are under "音楽", music, instead of manga.

This debut is insane. J+ is gonna have an incredible pillar trio this year with SxF-K8-CSM2.

One Piece leakers, please, if you have Jump leaks, don't be only fixed on One Piece and leak Jump issue 7 preview (which is very likely going to be new serialization round).

Naruto x My Hero Accademia poster by Kishimoto
That's really really cool.

I'm slightly mad about Dr.Stone getting another cover after it got issue 2 cover. It seems the Dr.PUSH times are back (is there any case of another Jump series receiving TWO covers for anime new season?). Very surprised about Black Clover getting consecutive color pages too.

BTW according to the same source, Agravity Boys is ending this issue.

There's only 5 regular cover series in the magazine, it's natural that they'll get more than usual. Especially when there's a new anime to promote.

I've been wondering if Agravity Boys is about to end, the last chapter felt like it was building up to a really silly gag finale.

According to the same source, Moriking is
getting a 6-years timeskip at the end of this chapter
so it would be ending next week (unlike Agravity Boys this is still speculation).

With Agravity Boys and Moriking gone, ObO is left. The really odd thing is Nak going with a round of oneshots over a round of serializations.

Hmm.... sounds like he’s being cautious and hoping for another “Blue Box”-like reception.
