I should add to UU's chapter that this "battle shounen" got more romance and kisses in 46 chapters than similar "harem/Teen romance" series in a similar amount of time.

Sakamoto is entertaining, and this time 2 characters from the first chapter lead spread shows up
I'm worried about the direction this series is going
opposite of the typical WSJ mc, Sakamoto have achieved everything he dreams of, so where do we go from here?
I guess the selling point of this series is going to be how creative and entertaining the fights scenes are going to be
Pretty sure that will be what the series is aiming for, plus with the Gintama vibe it’s giving, his “goal” would just be wanting to keep things the way they are, plus having random and weird oddjobs occasionally

Build King has unexpectedly became the manga I’m looking forward the most to each week. It just feels an old school shounen manga and it has the right vibes. Great great chapter

I am enjoying the journey and looks like it's just starting. Congratulations to One Piece on the number 1000!

People here aren't giving highschool family enough credit here. This week in particular gave me some genuine joy and laughter. What is it that about the manga thats not clicking with people?

It has its moments for me. I thought the last couple chapters were better than this week's, but this week's was still decent. I think the author is going for making the characters themselves feel relatable to the readers. Those chapters where I can relate to one of the family members tend to be funnier for me than the others.

I enjoy it almost every week but never enough to consider it one of the best chapters, mainly due to the short length and the panelling/little dialogue making each chapter so quick to read. I think it does suffer when talking about it week-by-week (plus most gag series don't gain as much attention as other genres when it comes to online discussion).

It took me two hours to read everything but finally for the first time I can say that I read all of Shonen Jump!...except not, because of thai Black Clover. Oh well, let's start ranking:

1. Undead Unluck: look at how much effort does it take for a man to get laid, huh? Jokes aside, nice and emotional closure to the arc that leaves us with improved characters and the right amount of backstory (not too few, not too much). Now let's get back to real action, or I will start to feel confused on what is real and what is fictional.
2. One Piece: I have to say that chapter 1000 delivered. The showdown before the big fight is one of Oda's trademarks, and it this case it worked brilliantly because of the weight of the people involved. Now we can return to cover 5-6 scenes at a time with chapter 1001.
3. My Hero Academia: A chapter dedicated to the consequences of the great battle and it delivered greatly. Especially with the page with all the portaits of the people who...you know what I am talking about. Simple, yet of strong impact.
4. Me & Roboco: I don't like it when it puts a forced reference on a chapter, but still I love it when it goes full meta. I am still of the idea that it is ranked high because it is used to promote the current important stuff via parody.
5. Dr. Stone: It looked like all the long-runners were motivated by the 1000th chapter and decided to deliver big important chapters on the same issue. It happens also with Dr. Stone, that after weeks of dragging and build-up it finally came with a big revelation that makes it interesting to see how it will be handled.
6. Sakamoto Days: Some kind of plot is starting to move. The first character introduced is interesting, and one of the reason is his status of ally. It seems that the battle Sakamoto & co. are going to fight is a battle for the status quo.
7. Magu-chan: God of Destruction: Nice chapter, though not as good as the latest streak. For a while it dropped the formula of having all the characters and focused on the protagonists, and I love how Magu is basically lying to himself when he thinks that the "lowly humans" are inferior beings and not people he truly cares about.
8. Hard-boiled Cop and Dolphin: Gotta keep my favourite series high, because nobody else will do. It is developing the arc in a way that it doesn't seem it's going to end too soon, and I liked the reveal about "standard Tamura heroine" at the end. Now, volume 2 comes out next month, if only Jump would try to promote it a little bit...
9. Build King: Best chapter until now, and the first that is more about the characters and less about the bizarre world. Will another castle emerge from the ruins of the dismantled one?
10. Jujutsu Kaisen: Even this long-runner was important and full of reveals, but the execution wasn't the best and I have some doubts about the presence of certain characters. Luckily, in a few years I will see this chapter animated and maybe I will understand better some things.
11. Agravity Boys: This ranks first in my list of final chapters read without knowing the series (other contenders were Haikyuu, Mitama and We Never Learn). Funny, crazy and yet a bit emotional. I can understand why it got a fanbase, and I will probably read the Jump Giga epilogue as well, if it gets translated.
12. We were born: a.k.a. the Promised Neverland special that isn't really about the Promised Neverland. As a one-shot, I liked it even if the premise was too cruel: for a young lady who lives, there is a young lady who dies, no matter the choice.
13. Shokugeki no Sanji: I haven't read Food Wars but I know that it would be difficult for me because of the trademark "orgasmic food reaction", that appeared here as well and kinda ruined an episode that otherwise was good and reminded me of that early One Piece feeling.
14. Phantom Seer: Still kind of not appealing to me, but I can give it some points because the finish was creative, and it impressed me.
15. Moriking: It was good, but it was too late. I would have appreciated it more if it wasn't for the festival of boredom that came with the previous chapters. The author is more at ease with this kind of chapters than with fighting arcs...then why all those fighting arcs?
16. Our blood oath: I have to admit I like this new Rangetsu fellow...see, I even remember his name! How he played with the Team Rocket wannabes was splendid. But...is it finishing or not?
17. Mashle: They are high schoolers. Who are fighting to the death to prove that they are the strongest and/or most prestigious student in their high school. I really can't get all the gravity that supposedly should come with their fights. They do the same thing in Black Clover, but in that case they are fighting for their kingdom and for peace. Why the hell are all so serious and dangerous here? I can't get it.
18. Mission: Yozakura family: Apart for the villain showcase, nothing really relevant happens here. Why wasting chapters in such an important time? We are all warmed up here.
19. High School Family:
People here aren't giving highschool family enough credit here. This week in particular gave me some genuine joy and laughter. What is it that about the manga thats not clicking with people?
The problem for me is that I don't get the "funny" part at all. I can even relate with the characters, but I fail to see the humour. For example, this week the race to improving English grades to not feel inadequate was serious business for me, and I get why they want to get better, but not why I should laugh at that, apart from "they are adults in high school". So if you connect with me for everything but not for the most important thing (being funny), I am forced to rank you low.
20. Ayakashi Triangle: Filler, fanservice and no plot whatsoever. Its fans surely loved the chapter, for me it hit all the low points of the series.

Retro binge update. Kimetsu no Yaiba: Somehow, I only had time to read 20 chapters in two weeks, and I am now at chapter 80. The train arc ended in a way that caught me completely off-guard, and currently I am at Yoshiwara and I can see how bad has it gotten now that Hosen is not around to rule it. The characters are very relatable, the main villain makes you want to punch him in the face everytime he speaks, and you grow attached to the main trio very easily. I don't understand its huge success, but at least I understand its success.

Agravity Boys has certainly had a strange run now that it's over. I think it left the bottom 5 maybe twice past the early chapters, only got one single colour page (and near the end at that), yet due to decent sales and how much else was ending it managed to make it all the way past its first anniversary to ch 50.

It was a solid run when you consider how it has performed, getting a whole 50 chapters (plus an upcoming epilogue) when it past years it might have not even hit ch 19. I figure that's long enough for a manga to really show what it can do, especially a gag manga, compared to U19 series which are over just when they're starting their first real arcs.

But with it done, and Moriking looking like it'll end next week, that'll certainly make the bottom look a bit different since they have been mainstays at the bottom for months. That may a bad sign for HSF and Dolphin which could now end up as bottom 3. each week unless Build King and Sakamoto Days flop hard.

Shima still in that Toriko mindset with this Build King chapter. The dramatic muscle growth and vein popping feels a bit out of place with these shotas :gwah

I'm going to have to agree with that. I think this week's chapter was fine and a pretty good ending point for volume 1.

Does anyone know if Kazuro Kyou (Hime-dol!!) is working on something? I remember seeing that he was going to do a Marvel oneshot for Jump+, but i don't know if was true.
