I liked Flowers, Ruri Dragon, Sand Storm Boarders a lot so I hope they can become a series either in WSJ or Plus
What`s the story behind Sand Storm Boarders? If you do not mind me asking.

Been trying to find it online but with zero success.

I also concur on what you spoke of Flower, it`s too good not to get a series. Although if am being honest, I think Plus is the better platform for it, mostly because it would give the author more freedom to do what he pleases.

Quick question for everyone: Which author, with a previously canceled series, do you wish to return? Am thinking of the likes of Kento Terasaka( Who did that one Rugby manga a while back), Takahide Totsuno, and Gen Osuka.

Additionally, which newbie author would you consider making a series for Weekly Shounen Jump? My bet is in the likes of either Matsui Rin, Yuu Odoriba, Michiru Nakayama with Tei Ashiga, Shutaro Inui, or Norihiro Norimura.

That's a better start than I thought for Blood Oath, but will still put it at the worst selling series once Moriking is gone assuming it takes the usual progression in further days.

Where is the Demon foursome's backlog during this?

Yozakura Family

Vol.1: #40
Vol.2: #47
Vol.3: #41
Vol.4: #16
Vol.5: #43
Vol.6: #22

Backlog: Vol.5 at #371!

Agravity Boys

Vol.1: #45
Vol.2: #60
Vol.3: #67
Vol.4: #53

Moriking

Vol.1: #58
Vol.2: #150
Vol.3: #206

Magu-chan

Vol.1: #40
Vol.2: #50

Bokura no Ketsumei

Vol.1: #107

Some interesting first ranking, Yozakura greatly improved from #5, but i think #5 would do similar if didn't have the Yaiba wall, still a great result and maybe with a miracle we can actually chart on Oricon, but not going to expect it.

Agravity Boys is a surprise, it got the best first day since volume 1, curious to see if will hold well next days, maybe the fans will show support in the sales for being canceled.

Magu-chan had a nice first day i guess, it's 10 "placements" below the first volume, but the same happened with some Yoza volumes and it still sold more, so maybe is the case too.

Yeah, not a really good start for Bokura no Ketsumei, it started even under first Moriking volume, but things will depend on how it keeps in the next days but is much probably getting canceled.

Moriking is 100% done, it was a good ride and funny series, sad that readers didn't supported like it was expected with the great first rankings.

I think the yaiba wall is just as present here as it was on #5

I mean the four demon fighting series that have been taking up the top a lot recently, Demon Slayer, Jujutsu, Neverland, and CSM.

Im saying the new series for the month pushed them up instead of Yaiba and JJK being a wall. if Yaiba and JJK wall werent present wouldn't Yozakura be higher than the #16 ranking it got that one time?

There's a handful of Chainsaw and Kimetsu in between Yozakura and Magu. TPN backlogs in roughly the 60s-200 range. Jujutsus scattered between 150 and 350. That's just the crappy short version :V

Very nice growth from Yozakura, good for it. Agravity ending and subsequently trending on Twitter plus the fact that it just got out of the (I still hate even saying this) penis arc means it probably got extra buzz.

Magu...I'm mixed. I'm glad it still cracked top 50 in a month significantly more stacked than the one its first volume released in. And I think given that there's 3 (soon to be 4) open slots left in the magazine and at least 2-3 more manga more likely to get axed first, I think it will safely get past its first anniversary. But records we have so far indicate volume 2 and volume 1 might not show much change which is concerning me since it needs growth to be in it for the long haul. It'll be especially interesting comparing it to Roboco next month because that's the closest thing it has to a direct competitor (even though they're not even remotely the same in terms of brand of comedy).

Magu-chan had a nice first day i guess, it's 10 "placements" below the first volume, but the same happened with some Yoza volumes and it still sold more, so maybe is the case too.
I can only pray that you're right here. It is funny that the positions for volume 1 and volume 2 are almost exactly the same as Yozakura's 1 and 2. This means it could have similar growth later down the line, but the problem is by the time everything running now that does worse is weeded out I don't know if it will be given the time to grow that Yozakura has taken. I would love to see it beat the odds and leave 2021 alive because I will be having a severe depression whenever it gets cancelled so the longer that gets put off the better :V

Wilted Flower by Hinata Nakamura from GIGA Winter was translated and uploaded to MangaDex.

This was a really nice oneshot. I'm not sure how this would fare in WSJ, but perhaps Jump+ could be a good venue for a series like this.

OBO is shockingly high. Magu-chan is actually right where I thought it'd be, even though I wish it were higher. Yozakura's placement seems pretty nice. I'd love to see it hold over the next few days.

Pretty obvious but all these daily placements on Shoseki charts are irrelevant and dependent on so many other factors.

Taking each day's placement so seriously and comparing it with the daily positions of other series and volumes isn't gonna tell you anything.

It's fine to follow them because it's fun but wait for the weekly and/or monthly charts to come if you guys want to make any comparisons or to get an idea of how something is doing.

I've seen situations where Series A can rank above Series B for 6 days, but Series B ranks above Series A for one day and Series B ends up having the higher weekly ranking overall. So yeah, weekly's more accurate.

That being said, I'm surprised at how Jujutsu is seemingly outdoing HeroAca already. I expected to wait until the next volume release.

As others have said, it’s a good oneshot. I have to say, the author is good at throwing us for a loop.

“I bet you thought I was gonna kill her, didn’t you? Naw, these pure kids gets a happy ending!” As @Aipom626 says, you wonder if it’ll be in J+ instead of the main magazine. Definitely feels like it fits the former. This and Blue Box’s author are going to be kept an eye on.
