This remains Jump's stupid decision to cancel a manga that made money. And magu cjan continues to harm Shueisha.Looks like this case study ends with the conclusion that sales dont trump positioning vindicating those that consistently said that the manga may not have been meeting sales expectations for the genre.
Hopefully this means phantom seer fans will stop beating Magu Chan and Yozakura Family up.
I agree with you
There s a difference though between ending next week and "entering its final phase". It could mean that we still have a 5-6 chapters long final arc to go.
Yeah, the whole back and forth and now WSJ brought down the hammer and made things clear for all of us: It's dead, Jim.So much arguing on the Phantom Seer situation... and then this happens, huh?
This legitimately makes zero sense to me. There has to be something the editors know that we don’t. Either that or they really did not think the series had potential.
It must have been axed for ages then.So now it kind of make sense why Phatom seer is rank on the bottom
Because it is axed
Ok then jimbo, give us an exampleThere have been way bigger axes in Jump’s history than Phantom Seer, from other series that were deemed solid and had potential, and this won’t be the last. Why are we acting like this is new to Jump, and unique to Nak lol
That’s the tragic thing about it. I don’t think Jump really even tried to promote the series. I just don’t know why. It could be one of Disco’s theories, it could be that the sales didn’t meet expectations, it could be that the editors didn’t think the manga had much potential. It’s such a shame. Phantom Seer hardly got any push at all, I feel like they didn’t even want to try with this series.
I think it’s because jump was viewed to be filled with a lot more solid hits at that time and now it’s need of more solid series. Also because other series have been given so many chances this past year too. There have been way bigger axes in Jump’s history than Phantom Seer, from other series that were deemed solid and had potential, and this won’t be the last. Why are we acting like this is new to Jump, and unique to Nak lol
Stealth SymphanyOk then jimbo, give us an example
Maybe duo isnt in sync and thats the reasonthis decision is extremely stupid and unfair and just hope the duo starts going to a different magazine instead
Although there are examples, this does not alleviate the fact of neglect over Phantom seer.Stealth Symphany
Double Arts
Well, at the end axing double arts wasnt so bad, since the author got to do nisekoi, which was very successfullStealth Symphany
Double Arts
I do not know.Has there ever been an axed series announced the week before? Usually we find out when the magazine leaks that this week is the final chapter. It seems odd to suddenly change up like that.
