Magu-Chan and Robocco are gag series, and for all we know they could both be meeting the expectations that Jump has for them.

Well, Magu-Chan will probably get axed at some point. But Me & Robocco seems like it’s deemed a genuine success(for now).
It’s sales aren’t as high as PS, but it may be reaching the sales figures that Jump wants in a gag series.

On top of that, in the case of Me & Robocco, the Survey Results May be significantly more valuable than actual volume sales.

But I think Roboko's sales are good for the standard, although they could be better.
Only magu chan who had no improvement in his performance.
Just because they are gag this is no excuse for the series to be stagnant.

Again, as someone said. Magu-Chan looks like it’ll be axed sooner or later anyway. It might even happen the same batch as PS.
So why does it matter?

How do the current gag manga's sales compare to Spring Weapon, considering it's the longest running new gag manga from the past 5 years?

I remember hearing it did ~6k per volume but I don't know if that's first week or in a month or what.

I've said my piece on what out of the above I think is leaving now and what isn't but this complaint is moot because PS isn't ending "before" all of these, at least 1-2 of them are going with it, it's not getting cancelled on its own. Series usually end in chronological order when it's time to make way for batches, but you can pretty much consider them ending all at the same time. Jump doesn't just end stuff alone unless it's an exceptional case like Act-Age. PS just gets the luxury of an announcement because it doesn't appear to be a normal poor performance-based cancellation, whereas whatever else ends alongside it will just end with no explicit forewarning.
Totally, totally, I'm not trying to make any complaints. My point was (supposed to be) that I'm totally shocked that PS is ending before series that are already showing signs of ending when PS itself acted like it had a lot of life ahead of it.

It feels like the creators were totally unprepared for this cancellation. But I don't know how early creators learn about that, and it might not have been until after the start of the current arc, in which case there wouldn't be much that they could have done.

I didn't know that series tend to end in chronological order. That's comforting because it means it probably isn't as unnatural as I first thought. Thank you for informing me. I'm still unsure of some things, but I'll wait until we hear more about further cancellations to comment on it any more.

If this is the start of a new batch, then I'm very excited to see what kinds of series we're getting. Maybe Blue Box will finally join the roster...?

If Blue Box does end up getting serialised in WSJ, I really hope they don't jump-ify it. I've enjoyed the romcom hits of the past decade but I feel like it's time for something to change up the formula and take itself more seriously.

Doesn't need to be Magazine-level melodrama, just something that leans a bit more into the romance/relationship side of things, compared to recent ones all being silly comedy harems with occasional short serious arcs.

Remembering that act age exists physically hurts me. I wish the writter didn't get into the situation that he did. I miss it. If it was here now there would probably be an anime releasing this season. That one manga alone would have made this current roster look more diverse... it's so sad :( So much... potential 😭

I Tell C just pulled a Dr.Stone premise reversal. I’m curious to see how JP responds to this change and see if the series just saved itself.

I’m really liking Kowloon’s pace. It reminds me of Eyeshield the way they’re going about the plot.

Yozakura Family and Sakamoto Days have been this week the best chapters of the entire roster for me. Also, very fun and enjoyable Kowloon chapter.

Because they are gag that why Jump can okay with them not growing for now. Jump are more lenient to gag series when come to growth and sale compare to battle/action series. Gag series are mean for more casual readers so Editor care more about readers feedback on the magazine compare to battle series. Why not compare PS sale to other action series instead?

Hm think Phantom Seer will end next chapter, or the one after in a best case scenario, plot has nowhere else to go, IMO.

I don't see how Build King has much life left, sad.

Cop & Dolphin was really good, I think its one of the ones that has me totally engrossed in the characters and the world, please last.

Witch Watch and Nine Dragon's Ball Parade introducing hot pretty boys this weak was amazing.

Ok. Ps has sales similar to those of Undead and better than those of yozakura, and you don't see them in positions as bad as those of PS.
And please stop defending the unsatisfactory performance of the current jump gags. After losing 7 veterans, the editors don't have time to waste just putting gag after gag thinking it solves something.
Several gag went through the jump without the chance to at least have an anime, and did not bring any benefit to the magazine.

Can we please dead the PS discussion now. It’s just going in circles now.

the series is dead. Let’s just accept it and await the next batch
I hope this new lot doesn't have gags, and it dyes a more serious manga
