Throwing my hand into the ring, I think it be wise to adapt to Jump+'s release format for the brand. Summer Time Rendering, Jigokuraku, Spy x Family and Kaiju No.8 all use(d) frequant weekly breaks as part of its general schedule, and in the former two just released a new illustration or side-material to tide fans over. Doing that would be far more stable for the authors health IMO, and it's no like people can sustain themselves on a weekly system constantly anyway.
I just think overall, more important than anything, is consistency. I don’t really care how much a mangaka draws, or what their schedule looks like, so long as they’re consistently outputting. They can do 17 pages a month, two months, I don’t care. As long as they have a consistent output and schedule, I’m fine with whatever they’re comfortable with.

Wait, you are saying that because he die before 60s it should be 100% overwork even tough it isn't a factor for the illnes and his assistants even mentionet that he lived a healthy life. Humans doesn't works like maths holy shit.
Secondly he got to take breaks WHENEVER he fucking wanted, at that point its not the overwork that cause him to die, its a combination of badluck and probably not exercising/eating correctly (WHICH is 100% on him) that caused him to die.

Jesas. Can't you read that screenshot?
Repost it because you people just cant read

Tldr he used to have horrible lifestyle from 1993 to 2011. Almost 20 years like that cause irreparable damage to anyone health. No wonder he can finally have a flexible schedule since around 2011.

But it ain't enough.

Anyway, this is really off topic so enough of this.
On another hand, I would like WSJ to be more like Young Jump, where people take breaks all the time. Almost every single issue have at least 1 or 2 manga absent while some mangaka takes a week off after 2 issues. Hell, Aka can take a month break after frequent random week off to play Apex.

Next , you are going to say that the was addict to the caffeine which was a factor that led to his aorthic dissection lol
For all the example in the industry that explain how shitty is and mangaka who died from overwork, people want to use the only one thar didn't led to dead by overwork.

If the gotouge sci fi romcom thing happen, how do you want it to be?

Dumb semantic argument
Are you really going full "Ackchyually, there is that one tweet from that dead mangaka's assistant which told us that mangaka was not really dead from overwork" to justify not giving mangaka necessary breaks and keep overwork them huh?
Do you really.
But....

I never said that.

Hey remember when the weekly shounen jump topic was about weekly shounen jump?
Tbf, mangakas and their work ethics are an essential part of WSJ, so technically we are still talking about wsj, just more about their inner and their moral aspects.

I feel lost in time. It's only the second volume of HSF and BK? Were they postponed earlier?

It always takes a while for comments to show up on new chapters, people can't read 20 chapters in 20 minutes after all.

-Issue 32: New series 3

Seems like Cop and Dolphin's going to end the issue before its one year anniversary after all.

I wonder if it'll get a GIGA epilogue too, honestly I don't think it'll need one since 3 more chapters is plenty of time to wrap up from where it currently is. I expect it'll still do something though, whether it's in GIGA or just a volume-exclusive extra chapter like Build King.
