England played a better game, but it really was even. That miss will haunt Müller likely as much as that penalty in -96 has haunted Southgate.

My crackpot dream finale is still Switzerland vs Denmark, but Belgium-England seems like the most likely scenario.

Grealish HAS to start all the other games now. He changed the game by himself. Also credit to Rice and Phillips for somehow lasting the whole game on early yellow cards

but Belgium-England seems like the most likely scenario.

I think Italy might eliminate Belgium.

Well that's also plausible. Losing E. Hazard and possibly De Bruyne definetly hurts Belgium.

I still feel like Lukaku will be the first to break England's defense in this tourney though.

I still feel like Lukaku will be the first to break England's defense in this tourney though.

I think we will face the Italians to be honest. In any case, Lukaku is the perfect opponent for our defenders. They know him inside out. He really is the same old Lukaku, just with more confidence after bullying geriatric Italians for a few seasons.

If the Danes can get past the Czechs, we will have to end their dreams too. Especially for how rudely they played around with the sheep shaggers.

As for Sweden or Ukraine, I prefer Ukraine. I have a soft spot for Sweden and don't want to humiliate them in the quarters. Best for the Ukrainians to put them out of their misery.

With all that said though, if we don't reach the final all of this would've been for nothing. We absolutely have to capitalise on all the bigger teams falling short and not repeat their mistakes.

But for tonight, let's enjoy. Big shout out to Sterling. I can't wait for tomorrow's papers. This guy gets absolutely dragged through the news for the slightest thing. Gotta start putting respect on his name for being our best player and getting all our important goals and his play.

As expected this is really just a matter of who’ll go through to get stomped by England. If it wasn’t clear before the game, the way both teams have played should have not a single Brit worried. Both teams barely running on last fumes and there’s 30 min overtime left.

Sweden should be happy with their quarterfinal spot if they manage to snatch it bc I’m not entirely sure they’ve really deserved it..
