Discussion Fairy Tail vs Spriggan Twelve

[Lucy>Wendy&Elfman]

What if Fairy Tail fought Alvarez alone? What if other guilds didn't help them? In your opinion, which fight would happen?

Mine:

August vs Gildarts or Makarov (?)
Irene vs Erza and Wendy
Rakheid vs Natsu, Lucy and Happy
God Serena vs Laxus or Gildarts
Bloodman vs Mirajane
Invel vs Gray
Brandish vs Lucy
Dimaria vs ?
Wahl vs Gajeel (?)
Ninehart vs ?
Jacob vs ?
Ajeel vs Juvia

[Dimitri1220]

Fairy tail would get annihilated. Even with the help of the other guilds, the Spriggans would still annihilate them, but Hiro made them all fight their kryptonite, made them extremely stupid, or gave them a family relationship with their opponent. If you change who each Spriggan fought, chances are they would win every round.

[Cosmicstar]

Assuming each side fights with everything they got I would assume Fairy Tail would have used Fairy Heart to boost its members powers logically if it was written well. Thus rendering the Spriggan magical power irrelevant and it would simply come down to type of magic versus type of magic. Only real problems would have come down to August and Irene.

Anybody could have fought anybody depending on the writer. If we were to believe Mavis truly was this master tactician and Makarov truly did spend a Year in Alveraz researching the most renowned mages on the continent then I would think Mavis would set the battles as such:

Wendy vs Larcade
Lucy/Natsu vs Dimaria/Jacob
Makarov vs Brandish
Erza vs Nienheart
Gray vs Invel
Mirajane vs Bloodman
Laxus vs Ajeel
Bicklow vs Whal
Gildarts vs Serena
Wendy/Mavis vs Irene
Lucy/Erza/Cana vs August
Freed vs Marin

Of Course this assumes each character is written with some respect. Ergo each character potential is explored.

[Lucy>Wendy&Elfman]

I wasn't asking for the winner of each fight, but for the possible fights between Fairy Tail vs Alvarez. Which Spriggan would fight which Fairy Tail Member(s) ?

Would say the following:

1. August wins
2. Irene would have won if not for the suicide part
3. Larcade could take this since Sting was not around to eat White Magic
4. Not sure about this one since we do not see GS's full arsenal and power
5. This might be tough for Bloodman since Mira can eat poison, tho do not know if it is the same for Bane Particles, but I would say Bloodman takes this
6. If Gray does not get consumed by Darkness, Invel would take this
7. Brandish definitely
8. Not sure about Dimaria one since nobody is there
9. If Gajeel can get in close enough to Wahl he could eat parts of him, but Wahl would adapt and find his weakness.
10. Not sure about Neinhart since nobody is there
11. Not sure about Jacob since nobody is there
12. Juvia would prove difficult for Ajeel but managed to counter water weakness with his Sand World.

I mean they were arrogant like most villains in general to not be able to kill their enemies when they have the chance.

Yea that's true, but arrogance wouldn't have changed anything if FT didn't have counters to basically everything they had.

[Eisenfaust]

Without plotarmor the 12 Spriggan would win that war.
Multiple factors play a key for the win of Fairy tail like Acno killing God Serena(Gildarts lvl) and Larcade wouldn´t get defeated by Sting.
If we had a directly battle without a right battle then:

Irene would beat Natsu
August would defeat Laxus and Gildarts
God Serena would beat Erza
Ajeel would beat Mirajane
Larcade would beat Gray
Rest would beat the other members.

[grey matter]

If FT fought Alverez alone, they get utterly destroyed. If Spriggans and Zeref work together, they would've been unbeatable in x792

DF Natsu will be the only character capable of offering any reasonable resistance. But Zeref, or Zeref + August can hold him until Spriggans finish off the rest and gang upon him.

FT has zero chance for winning.

August vs Gildarts or Makarov (?)
Irene vs Erza and Wendy
Rakheid vs Natsu, Lucy and Happy
God Serena vs Laxus or Gildarts
Bloodman vs Mirajane
Invel vs Gray
Brandish vs Lucy
Dimaria vs ?
Wahl vs Gajeel (?)
Ninehart vs ?
Jacob vs ?
Ajeel vs Juvia

There is no reason fights should go like this, without interference from others. Collectively, Alverez is far stronger than FT, than individually. Because Alverez members have powerful abilities that work together well, while all except Mest, Wendy and Lucy in FT are straight-forward brute-force mages.

Anyway, for the matchup mentioned here, assuming no outside interference:
-August destroys both
-Eileen already won it. She had to off herself
-DF Natsu stomps Larcade
-GS wins if he faces Laxus. Loses extreme diff if he faces Gildarts
-Bradman wins
-Without darkness, Gray loses. Or else he wins
-Brandish destroys Lucy
-Gajeel may extreme diff Wahl
- Ajeel no diffs Juvia

The fact that we have Dimaria, Jacob and Neinhart still remaining without even remotely worthy challengers speaks for itself. Not to mention Zeref himself, who is stronger than every FT member except DF Natsu

[Kenneth Latorre]

They better hope Natsu doesn’t go Flames of wild emotions on their ass. That bitch punked Magical Girl Zeref to near death.

but otherwise back then they weren’t power enough to take them down without plot armor.

[Seven777]

No plot armor? FT uses Fairy Heart and mops the floor with Alvarez. Mavis not being willing to do so because she's scared of people coming after it is dumb as fuck. With it she alone could have soloed Invel and Zeref at the same time according to them, she should have done so, and then shared the power with the guild

[Axiomus]

I'd like to think that Rogue's future was the one with no plot armour. Natsu uses Igneel's power to kill Zeref, and by extension himself. Then Acnologia kills everyone else later, regardless of who wins the between FT or Alvarez.

she didn’t use it because it would likely go out of control and can’t be stopped

Why? That was never stated to be an issue, and Zeref could control it just fine.

It was, before the war started when Happy made that very notion. And Zeref used it to basically destroy all of reality to create a new one, that right there is the big issue she was warning about.

They were talking about losing control of an etherion with infinite power. Just don't use it to power etherion.

That was intentional. Zeref never lost control of Fairy Heart. Plus, Fairy Heart alone couldn't have done it. He had to use in combo with magic in the rift of time. Again, simply don't use FH to power something as OP as the rift of time.

would basically be the same with any sort of destructive magic, FH was stated to be power over space and time as well. That is the point, Zeref would intentionally want to let it’s power loose, the world is not his anymore so he is fine with it that way, It would still be catestrophic considering that it can collide with something like Savage Flames which is hot enough to distort space time, it is a miracle that a singularity did not form when it did. besides both Zeref and Mavis know and acknowledged the dangers of it anyway.

Why? Zeref used Fairy Heart to attack Natsu. Didn't lose control. Natsu's FDK destruction fist was stronger than Zeref's attacks, and Natsu also didn't lose control. The collision between Zeref and Natsu didn't blow up the world or anything.

So why can't FH just be used sparingly to beat Alvarez? They don't even have to use it's full potential. Recharging Natsu, Erza, and Laxus' MP 3-4 times throughout the war would have been enough.

The only logic I can see behind Mavis' reasoning is that she didn't know how to use FH. Even then it doesn't make much sense lol.

He just jabbed him with his hand, not FH, it is a limiteless power source, Natsu stopped before he burns himself, I said it was a miracle that it didn’t, Zeref said that FH was a power fit for the end of the World, Neo Eclipse was just going to remake it, they are two separate statements made for what they would do, magic tends to select it’s user and can turn on them, also, they can just rest for a few hours to recharge their magic power, it is either all unleashed or not, there is no middle ground here.

His hand was charged with Fairy Heart's power. Besides, Zeref went all out and used Fairy Heart in his final exchange with Natsu anyways.

It's not a miracle. They just didn't lose control over their powers, and it didn't blow up the world.

Where did he say that FH is a power fit for the end of the world? Neo Eclipse is required for Zeref to go back in time. That's the only way for Zeref to destroy the world btw, and it requires the rift of time.
