Inspired by @john ellis . I think this would have a much more interesting match up. I'm adding Yamato to the Straw as I think it is inevitable that she will join. Also Blackbeard is taking Jinbei's place

Luffy(Gears+ Advanced CoC,CoO, And CoA)
Zoro(Enma)
Sanji(Raid Suit)
Jinbei
Yamato(Mythical Zoan)
Franky
Robin
Brook
Ussop
Nami(Zeus)
Chopper

Vs

Mihawk
Hancock
Doflamingo
Px0
Crocodile
Blackbeard(Yami and Gura DF's)
Moria

Now THIS is a matchup

How do you see this playing out?

My personal matches

Luffy vs Blackbeard
Zoro/Yamato vs Mihawk
Jinbei/Nami vs Crocodile/Mariah
Robin/Brook/Ussop vs Hancock
Franky/Sanji/Chopper vs Px0

This is the best match-up I can think of but it will take a moment to figure out scenarios
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

Funnily enough... I think Luffy would be a better match-up for Mihawk and Zoro a better match-up for Blackbeard

Zoro would be disadvantaged with the quakes and Luffy would be disadvantaged with Mihawks swordsmanship so it's a difficult fight either way.

Blackbeard nullifying dfs wouldn't mean shit to Zoro

My initial thoughts? Mihawk and Blackbeard front load the Shichibukai side as two Yonkou level threats.

The Strawhats odds rely solely on the ability of someone being capable of handling one of those two solo, and I really don't think that's possible at the moment.

Post Wano will likely change my opinion but, at this point, Luffy is not at the level to comfortably fight a Yonkou one on one from start to finish. He got the drop on Kaido with his newly awakened CoCA and still got mopped. He's going to need a team mate and Yamato is the most viable candidate given his current performance against Kaido. Even if things turn out well, it still leaves another kicking around.

I back the Warlords thanks to Blackbeard and Mihawk. Having 2 devil fruits as powerful as the ones BB has and arguably the strongest character in OP within Mihawk, the SH aren't ready for that yet.

Plus, Doflmaingo, Hancock, and even Crocodile are still formidable foes.

amazing discussion thread....

my thoughts
Luffy vs Blackbeard
This had to be... I dont think anyone else would match up to Luffy....

Zoro vs Mihawk
Same as above, the longest teased duel since East Blue

Sanji vs Doflamingo
I think a lot has been said about their skirmish in the past so it will be a great matchup to see.... First thing about beating mingo we know is speed, and the RS can bring that to the equation giving Sanji a fighting chance...

Franky and Usopp vs Kuma
A cyborg vs a cyborg... a match up worth a watch...Its a bit hard to visualize since Kuma's paw paw will negate any advantage, but i can visualize a hidden colapowered attack right after one that negates the repel ability... Usopp can be a good assist by disabling some of Kuma's attacks with his pop greens...

Yamato vs Hancock
I have my reservations putting Yamato as a current strawhat, but the thought of a powerful woman fighting another powerful woman is great.... i know Yamato is a guy and all those things, but the physicality doesnt change in the fight's perspective and the visual would be good... We havent seen one but this would be an amazing match up..

Jinbei vs Crocodile
I think Crocodile's ability is nullified against Jinbei, but Crocodile has shown a skill to even absorb water in small quantities, that'll make Jinbei a great matchup against them.

Nami, Chopper and Brooks vs Gecko Moria
Assuming Moriah isn't using Zombies, this will be an interesting way to fit the rest, but if zombies are in the picture, then we need God Usoop there as well.

I also gotta add that Hancock and Kuma are largely unknown elements. We have no idea where they land in terms of power.

They have to be YC2 at the very least with plenty of potential to be stronger.

I think we have a far idea of where Kuma is at with his px modifications, right? He put on a fair showing in Marineford vs Little Oars Jr and Ivankov I thought

Crocodile is one-shot by Jinbe tho, don't you think? He has at a major disadvantage and if not Jinbe, Nami brings the storm down. Crocodile isn't much of a tank.

Yea I agree with what you said, I just look at him as someone who if he lands one clean strike, it can be GG but other than that, yea he's not much.

Not the full extent. He showed way more against the Strawhats at Thriller Bark. He just did an Ursa Shock at Marinrford. He should have a lot more going on, like Hancock. Not only that, but his fruit probably makes him the fastest person in this fight as he's been shown to push himself instantly from one place to another.

He's at a disadvantage, but if he can take a Brilliant Punk from Jozu with no lasting issue, I'm fairly certain he won't be one shot by Jinbe. Nevermind his brief clashes with Doffy and Mihawk. Crocodile should, at the very least, be comparable to the former physically.

With what we know about New World Veterans, Luffy had no business beating him in Alabasta. Imagine Luffy back then fought a Sea Stone Cuffed Doffy. He'd still get mopped because Doffy's physical abilities are still above and beyond anything Luffy was capable of.

I'll give it a more proper thought after I get some sleep but I see the Strawhats winning here.
When I said this the initial post said it was Blackbeard with only the Yami Yami no Mi so I take it back.

If the Shichibukai team has current Blackbeard + Mihawk they're winning no matter what.

I will theorize an example.

The strongests on the SHs side are Luffy, Yamato and Zoro.
Yamato and Zoro are very strong but they barely have some stats on real Yonko territory for now. They're both really below that level, so at most I would say the can work together to hold back Blackbeard or Mihawk. I'd say they better face Mihawk because Blackbeard is a hard, hard counter for zoans.

- Yamato and Zoro vs Mihawk. I don't think they can win, but they may last depending on the mood of the fight. Mihawk wins sooner or later.

- Luffy vs Blackbeard. With CoC and apparently enough level to fight and defeat Kaido in a fight, Luffy must certainly be strong enough to engage and perhaps defeat Blackbeard in a 1vs1 already. Blackbeard may deactivate Luffy's fruit but if he deactivates Luffy's fruit when Luffy is hitting with a G4 punch, Blackbeard is still taking the blunt damage anyway.

The Yami Yami no Mi isn't really special other than for that and on top of it, it makes Blackbeard take more damage than he would without it, and I think the gomu gomu may counter the gura gura?

I see Luffy actually taking Blackbeard down as he is now. But since Blackbeard is still resilient and strong it won't be a short fight. He may also have tricks up his sleeve.

The next strongest Shichibukai is Hancock. Since Sanji is out of the question, Jinbe should fight her.

- Jinbe vs Hancock. The whole fight depends on where does it take place. Both are great martial artists but Hancock's hax is strong as hell. I guess it should be possible to somewhat defend against with haki like BM and Kaido defended against Law, but Jinbe is not as strong as them.

If they fight near a body of water, I give the win to Jinbe who can jiujitsu some tsunami on her ass. If the fight is far from the ocean, Hancock is winning this.

So no clear winner.

- Sanji vs Doflamingo. Sanji isn't one for sharing fights and there's no SH remaining that could help him much against Doflamingo so I'll just go with a 1vs1.

Pirate Queen brought some fair points as to why Doflamingo would win, but at the very least Sanji could entertain Doflamingo for a while. I think I'll still put my money on Sanji on this fight: G4, which was required to defeat Doflamingo, was much faster and stronger than any SH at the time, but high YC opponents since them have all been shown to be capable of engaging G4 in a fight for one reason or another, so I believe both Zoro and Sanji must have catched up with G4's power as it was on Dressrosa. I know it makes little sense but that's just how this shonen works with the SH's leveling up between arcs and Zoro and Sanji are about to defeat YC1 and 2 opponents now.

It's true that Doflamingo was wounded (and thus nerfed) against Luffy but I don't believe he's YC2 as much as I love him.

And now I have a problem because I wasted ever CoA-user strawhat and I didn't match Crocodile yet... but the people I have matched needed to be matched there to defeat or hold the strongest Shichibukais.

Well, for now:

- Franky, Nami and Chopper vs Px0. Just like Zoro vs Mihawk, Luffy vs Blackbeard, Robin vs Crocodile and Brook vs Moria, Franky vs Px0 is a must for personal reasons. Franky rebuilt himself using Vegapunk technology from some abandoned lab of his during the timeskip.

As a Cyborg, current Franky is mostly superior to an old model Pacifista like Kuma, but Kuma has some sweet, sweet DF that can stop any attack from Franky in its tracks. Franky's attacks, be it sword strikes or laser beams, are all very straightforward and easy to predict, so Kuma won't have a problem with them. Aggressively, Kuma may also be Franky's superior thanks to his DF and Kizaru's beam. Kuma also doesn't run out of energy as easily as Franky does.

If this was a 1vs1, the fight would be long but Franky would go down for sure. I threw Chopper in because he's both a tanky character (in Monster and Guard Point) who's also very agile and versatile, perfect to keep some of Kuma's attention off of Franky without risking going down too easily. He may also injure Kuma with his Arm Point, I don't remember what's Arm Point's best feat so I'm unsure about that.

Anyway, Nami is the main player here. In this scenario, Kuma has to deal with Chopper, who would annoy him to no end, and with Franky, who may actually defeat Kuma if he manages to get a good attack in. Nami would have an easy time hitting Kuma amidst that battle with Zeus and unless the manga tells us otherwise in the future, lightning should be a hard counter for a cyborg. Especially such strong lightning.

Px0 goes down here.

Now, assuming the fighting doesn't take place in the Florian Triangle and assuming Moria doesn't spend a whole decade or two preparing shadows for Shadow Asgard, he's a weakling, just like Doflamingo made clear on Marineford.

- Brook vs Moria. Brook wins. Nothing else to add there.

This leaves...

- Robin and Usopp vs Crocodile. Robin and Usopp lack CoA as far as I remember, so... sorry for not coming up with a more entertaining matchup but Crocodile is beating them both.

So this would leave...
---------------
Mihawk probably still fresh.
Luffy worn down.
Jinbe and Hancock still fighting.
Sanji tired but possibly uninjured thanks to his RS.
Franky tired and possibly out of cola.
Chopper tired.
Nami fresh.

Brook fresh.
Crocodile fresh.
---------------

Most SH's would win their fights, but the Mihawk and Blackbeard combination really is too much. Only Luffy is around their theorical levels and he's not taking both down. No matter how the second round goes...
- Sanji would take down Crocodile easily now, regardless of whether Doflamingo injured him or not. If not him, possibly even a worn out Luffy could do it.

- I didn't chose a victor between Jinbe and Hancock because it could go either way depending on the place, but if they were still fighting, Nami could support him to victory just like she would have fried Kuma.

If instead Hancock had defeated Jinbe, then I'd assume Hancock wouldn't have come out unscathed from it so she would probably still go down soon after with so many SHs standing (and most importantly Nami to Zeus her ass while she's busy).

I really think that if Zeus can take down Ulti (even if not in a single hit) it can take down Kuma or Hancock. Nami would lose against both of them in a 1vs1, but not with this many allies.

This makes me wonder if Hancock can petrify Zeus... but I'm gonna guess she could petrify a cloud but not lightning itself. She can petrify organic beings and weapons alike, but immaterial thunder sounds like a good counter for her DF.

So in this scenario we would end up with a mostly fresh Mihawk vs a worn down Luffy, a worn down Jinbe, a worn down Sanji, a worn down Franky, a worn down Chopper, a fresh Nami and a fresh Brook.
This fight would en in Mihawk left standing. Or Blackbeard. Or both if we made crueler matchups.

If the fight was a battle royale instead of individual matchups and Mihawk and Blackbeard fought by covering eachother, they'd both be standing by the end.

Why not match up Crocodile with either of the 2 water users?(Nami or Jinbei) either could easily render him ineffective

Jinbe would definitely beat Crocodile in a 1v1: even if there's no water around he's just too good at CoA, but Jinbe's needed on Hancock. Since Sanji can't fight her because she's a woman, and Luffy, Yamato and Zoro must definitely engage Blackbeard and Mihawk.

Nami vs Crocodile... interesting, I hadn't thought of her honestly. She can literally make it rain.

Damn, Nami should just be supporting on every front. She only needs to create rain and Robin and Usopp suddenly have a chance against him.

I'd say Usopp would still lose against a wet Crocodile in a 1v1 (because Crocodile can still create sand blades and all of that stuff when wet) but Robin would likely solo Crocodile under the rain. Crocodile has good durability feats but no "strength" feat to say he could get out of Robin holding him down with hundreds of hands or whatever.

If Nami makes it rain Usopp could go help with Kuma or Hancock.

The end result of the fights would still be the same, but Nami really should just do a tour Crocodile-Kuma-Hancock supporting her allies. :hmm She wouldn't be so useful if the SHs didn't outnumber the Shichibukai but she's just too good when she has allies.

Could current Nami(With Zeus) defeat Alabasta Crocodile solo? If they weren't in a desert?

Sanji tired but possibly uninjured thanks to his RS.
Are we talking about the current Sanji? How in the world can he defeat Doflamingo? Doesn't make sense. Sanji hasn't defeated YC2 yet, so wait.

I cannot believe Crocodile is being underestimated this badly. And Sanji can defeat Croc after fighting Joker? Are we using Alabasta croc power level? Crocodile in Alabasta is vastly different from the Marineford one, and now he is even stronger because he has been in the New World for 2 years (should take that into consideration).

Kuma is another one being underestimated pretty badly. Hax DF that can counter anything. There is nothing Franky can throw that Kuma can't block.

How is Brook winning against Moria?

I would differ from your winners tbh.
1. Sanji - loss
2. Franky, Nami, Chopper - loss
3. Robin and Usopp - loss (this you are right)
4. Jinbe - draw (tbh I see Hancock winning due to her potential [all 3 haki] and her fruit)
5. Luffy - win (i just don't see how BB can keep up with Luffy's speed)
6. Zoro and Yamato - loss (Mihawk is defo Yonko level)
7. Brook - loss (Moria's fruit is just OP)

So we have Luffy the only one winning his match up. Figures.

Respectfully, there is a lot of speculation in Croc's power level. How are your scaling his strength increase these past to years? Because he had decades of experience and was still wasted by Luffy.

I understand he was far too weak in the alabasta arc but I have to bring up 2 things...

1. That's what Oda gave us and we sort of have to accept it. Marineford seemed to help him, but not by much. His clash with Mihawk was misleading and his clash with Doflamingo didn't reveal much

2. Crocodile lost to Luffy in a FUCKING DESERT.(croc will never be more powerful, concerning df advantage wise, than he was in Alabasta) so unless he awakened, I don't see how he is being underestimated.

Mariah is more of a tank than Crocodile and he was one shot. Nami has the ability to render him solid.

My point is that Croc gave up his dream in Alabasta. He was never his strongest. He basically fought for nothing. He is back on track with purpose now. That's the difference in strength.

The rest u can assume. They also get stronger over the TS.
It's Oda's fault that haki was introduced late anyway.

By Jinbe yes. However, we never know if he recovered from his injuries.
Brook is not Jinbe.

Crocodile is one-shot by Jinbe tho, don't you think? He has at a major disadvantage and if not Jinbe, Nami brings the storm down. Crocodile isn't much of a tank.
I dont see it that way.. I think the only one shot i can imagine Jinbei winning is in a battle with tons of water around... But in any other scenario, Crocodile is at a disadvantage, sure but he can absorb water with his other hand as well, and knowing Jinbei's fighting style will give him some advantage. The very least, the matchup will be interesting enough to see them go on for a bit... But that's how i see it..

I dont see Nami beating him. The scenario where Nami makes it rain, does crocoboy into an oasis and then strikes him with a thunderball tempo is the only possible win, however she will definitely need an assist for that.

Generally speaking, I think we underestimate both Croc and Moria on their power levels. There is little to defend Croc but his antics in Impel Down and marinfold the very least that he is capable of more.

Moriah as well, but the only thing Moria has going for him is fighting Kaido tooth and nail and surviving albeit close to his death. I mentioned during the original fights when Kaido commented on Luffy "too bad i'll have to slice your throat" as being a more accurate translation than "behead you" as Moria's throught seems to be sliced up as well, and possibly against Kaido. His ability is often underestimated, but we'll know better soon enough.
