So it is a yokai + mafia manga... interesting, and it looks like the main character has nor magic nor other powers, but just training and physical power 🤔🤔🤔

One Piece is getting new Movie.
Yeah it was very obvious. The movie on I'm expecting to be very connected to the manga

This batch feels like the editors just wanna capitalize on this wave of modern setting demon fighting manga that’s been popular the past 3-4 years

Kawaguchi's (late) promotional tweet about Red Hood Volume 1, also saying it feels unreal:

That reminds me, the early author comments that someone posted earlier had Neru's creator talking about v3 having behind the scenes stuff and other extras.

I don't think Neru's creator has the large number of oneshots to fill the volumes like Red Hood's author does, but I guess they can just include the original mini-series to fill up v3 alongside the extras?

You hear this almost any time there's a demon fighting manga (BoneColle, PS, OBO) in Jump. It's been a common genre for a long time.

Overall, Ayashimon reminds me quite a bit of early Chainsaw man.
A protagonist with a difficult childhood, who has relatively simple objectives, who meets a girl at the head of a sector of an organization, which has to fight monsters and some of them fill its ranks.

The art is pretty good. Too early to judge the story. I hope the author manages to add more depth to the main characters in the following chapters.
It should survive, although it seems something we have seen before many times.

Ayashimon... never was a fan of overpowered MC and probably never will be. So-so first chapter.

Really good issue this week, no bad chapters this week, and most series were at least above average

MHA was pretty good, despite my waning interest in the series this fight did catch my attention, mostly due to New Order being an interesting quirk. As predictable as it ended up mostly being, I did enjoy these past few chapters, if only Star was introduced earlier in the series.

Black Clover was great, strong emotional chapter for Yami. It's been such a long time since we've seen him

Dr Stone was pretty good, solid construction chapter setting up the internet

JJK was great, I liked the action (Yuji is just built different) and those last few pages were incredible. Really looking forward to the next chapter

Undead was pretty good, I like the game they're playing, and Fuuko gets to look cool

Mashle was good, nothing out of the ordinary for it, but it got some good laughs from me. Looking forward to the side cast getting some focus now

Ayakashi was pretty good, wasn't expecting the confession, so that's appreciated

It feels like it's been forever, but Magu was genuinely pretty good. The humor was nothing special, but the wholesome stuff at the end actually landed really well with me. If only it could've had moments like these earlier, because at this point nothing is really going to reignite my interest

Roboco was good, got some solid laughs, especially the Kodansha gag

HSF was pretty good, the chapter made good use of some of the minor characters, and Gomez gags usually land well

Sakamoto was pretty good, enjoying the fight, and Sakamoto's new style is interesting, even if I will miss skinny Sakamoto

Elusive was great, I like the strategies going on, and the twist at the end has me excited. Well deserved break next week

Witch was incredible, laughed from start to finish with all the tropes. I was wondering when the student council would show up

Blue Box was good, interesting development, hopefully it won't slow things down too much. Poor Hina at the end

As far as an axed end goes, I really liked Neru this week, especially that last spread. Pretty standard timeskip ending, but it was nice to see the cast together, even if I don't remember all of them. It helps that there wasn't a ton of big plot threads that needed to be quickly resolved. It's a shame it didn't catch on because I did enjoy it pretty consistently throughout, but it is what its is

P6 was really good, a whole chapter focused on Reijiro, exploring his relationship to his abilities, the people around him, and his family really made me feel bad for him. I can't believe this series is winning me over

Ayashimon was pretty good for a first chapter, but we'll have to see where it goes. I really like Kaku's art, and this series should hopefully allow for plenty of cool monster designs. I like the characters too, at least from what we've seen. I just worry that the protagonist is too overpowered, even if it is intentionally comically so. Interested to see how the plot takes shape. Fingers crossed for this one

Incredibly strong week overall for everything I follow. Only Roboco was weak, and everything else either met or exceeded expectations. I started reading PPPPPP again, and this was easily its best chapter. Ayashimon felt like early Chainsawman expect with better fight scenes.

This week's top 5:
1. Magu-chan: God of Destruction
2. Mission: Yozakura Family
3. Undead Unluck
4. High School Family: Kokosei Kazoku
5. Ayashimon

The best of the rest:
6. PPPPPP
7. Witch Watch
8. Ayakashi Triangle
9. Blue Box
10. Sakamoto Days
11. Mashle
12. Me & Roboco

We got not only one, but two explicit Jotaro references this week. What are the odds

Magu chan
Sakamoto days
black clover
Ayakashi triangle
ayashimon (
even if I have to admit the ending of the chapter was pretty meh)
