Good theory but somehow the word outside One Piece world has to come into play. There are too many hints indicating something to do with the moon etc.
But I would also think Joyboy and Imu were friends as well. Like Hashirama and Madara.

These aren't mine, and I don't know if someone posted it already but (saw on reddit):

Tama is actually a Kurozumi. Primary reasoning being that little is known about her, and especially about her relationship with Hitetsu. It could be that Oda does indeed want us to empathize with the Kurozumi clan and that Wano's treatment of the whole clan based on their leader was overly harsh and unnecessary. It would be interesting if Orochi wasn't actually the last Kurozumi, and if there were a few others who weren't evil. Even Orochi was kind of coached by that evil hag. Who knows if he'd of turned out different if he hadn't been mercilessly hunted down and scared his whole life. Getting someone young like that can definitely impact who they become. Just look at racists in the USA South.

Kozuki Sukiyaki is still alive. When asked if his father died of illness, Orochi didn't answer in any way we could see. This was a bit strange as we all assumed he'd died by then. No reason to not say "Of course he died." when Orochi was behind the barrier and had Kaido around to protect him.

Hitetsu is Sukiyaki (less believable by me). This is more conjecture based just on the fact that we know very little about Hitetsu or Kotetsu lineage. King Rikku battled it out in the coliseum under an alias, so the theory here would be that Sukiyaki was sent either captured and tortured by Orochi but escaped eventually, or forced into exile. His situation is indeed odd and while I don't think he's Sukiyaki there is definitely something strange about him and why he looks after Tama; Another piece of the theory is maybe he IS Sukiyaki, and sees that his situation is directly tied to the treatment of the Kurozumi clan and is making amends by taking a Kurozumi into his care. Also, the poneglyph reading of the Kozuki clan would have died off with Oden. Robin is obviously too busy to teach Momo a whole different language. Part of the theory is Momo needs to learn that stuff, and his grandfather being alive could perhaps be the key to him learning it while Robin goes off to find the Rio Poneglyph with Luffy.

I see no chance of it happening. Unlike in Naruto where most villains have a legit excuse to become what they are, One Piece is weak in that department. Look at Doflamingo. Yes, he was hunted down by civilians. But before that, he was as shitty as the other Tenryuubito, so why take pity at him? Look at Senor Pink. Yes, he is manly. Yes, he has a sad backstory. But being a pirate is his own choice. No one forced him to do it. So, I think if Orochi hadn't been mercilessly hunted he'll still be evil, just probably less cruel.

in sbs 90 when oda got the question about whether or not doffy, mihawk, or crocodile had children he didnt say no or that none of them arent expecting one.

so its possible that viola is pregnant with doffys kid and given that oda mentioned viola and doffy having a relationship to the point of having doffys men refer to her as his mistress it will be an interesting way to reference the relationship in the one piece manga

29 years ago, Doflamingo returned to Mary Geoise and learned about the National Treasure. He then tried to steal the Ope Ope no Mi by assassinating its previous user.

This is also why the Ohara incident happened 22 years ago. The fact Akainu was so willing to kill the civilians suggests he may know about this secret.

• shanks dying with the movie being the only info dropped about him.
• bs happens in the manga with the movie an attempt at an explanation.
• movie being used to resolve his/other storylines with nothing else being said about him/them afterwards.
• a great movie that adds new depth to his character that is quickly abandoned by the manga.

i forgot who told us about the rocks pirates but doesnt that mean that not everyone forgot him? but you make a good point still though cause theres not enough talk about him even though on paper he had like the strongest crew ever.

It was Hina who was asked Garp about the Rocks. She doesn't know about them, she only heard about it.

Naturally, if memories have not been erased for a few decades, some bits of history will get known.

If that is possible, then why not do it over and over again? The WG never needs to worry about people finding out the truth because they can just use the memory wipe.

Saying that, do you think Sugar's power was a foreshadowing of the memory wipe? Possible, but I would kinda hate that. Sugar was too convenient, a DF with multiple.powers (body doesn't mature, turn into toys (with a lot of rules) and others forget about them.

Very much. Dressrosa forashadowed too much of the overall plot, especially Luffy final conflict with the "gods".

Interestingly, Sugar also doesn't age, just like the one who uses the National Treasure.

I wonder if the movie will confirm the theory that he is Xebec's child. I think with the new movie being Shanks-centric, together with the new SBS elaborating on his crew, Oda is probably gonna shove Shanks' backstory in the movie as opposed to an arc like in Elbaf later on in the manga (if there is going to be an Elbaf arc lol).

And also, pls don't kill Shanks xD
