It's both. A Spirit Shinheuh and that's why it doesn't need a Bowl. Traumerei has Shinheuh which aren't not spiritual and don't need Bowls but he is different.

I think that would depend on how strong the ancient demon is.
Not that I expect it to be admin level but I wouldn't call the irregular's inability to nullify contracts bad writing.

reading the improved translation... I don't see how this is anything short of a powergrab on traumerei's end. He'd be adding a particularly, and presumably, powerful bloodline to his own family.. And I still don't buy that the empire would be cool with traumerei just saying that he is having the princesses give up their position to mate with bam. Giving up the princess position is not a thing. The only way to give up the position is via giving up your head. Traumerei is just doing whatever BS is convenient to him, in reality without any regard for what the others think. Going further... does it make sense the other family heads would be cool with traumerei just nabbing bam for himself? Without any actual resistance from the other family heads or the empire? I don't think traumerei has straight up lied here but I am going to guess what we heard just now is the most convenient interpretation of events imaginable for traumerei. So to me it's a hard sell that if you have family heads with a diversity of opinions including killing bam or leaving him alone... does it make a shred of sense that the other 9 heads would let traumerei have bam just like that? I don't buy it. Crackpot theory: Traumerei showing up at the war at all is something which the other family heads simply won't be cool with. More are coming... Welp, at least 1. I suppose eduan is the most likely candidate given mascheny's presence who can tell on traumerei presumably instantly, or at least at her convenience.

I suppose he'll show bam to his room and it'll have a bed and a workdesk? And then traumerei would look at bam sternly and say "Take this pile of papers, do my taxes.".

I do think the whole 'marry my girl and join the Lo Po Bia Family' is Traumerei going into business for himself. As in, not a part of the agreement he made with the other Family Heads to deal with Baam. And it's likely not something they're just going to sit back and let happen.

I think he recognizes the potential asset Baam can be in the future but he also sees the potential danger if Baam joins another FH.

He's probably of the mindset that if he can't have Baam, no one else will.

It kind of upsets the whole balance. Jahad controls the military, they have their own families with one FH each. Urek has his own group. Even if they thought Baam wouldn't be as strong as them, they know he would at least be able to wreck the shit out of their families if conflict breaks out. If Baam were to somehow go to Rei, it would probably become a shit storm for the Lo Bo Pia.

In the manwha, when Traum talk about FH choosing side, "kill" shows what's likely to be Gustang's gloved hand but SIU is likely using this a misdirection. After all, Gustang's actions so far helped Baam.

If that was indeed Gustang there, I think it means that he's trying to incite division amongst the Family Heads. The more they argue, the easier it is for him to get things done.

I've suspected that this whole estrangement between Gustang and Blossom after the Enne incident was a ploy the two of them hatched together and the fact that it seems she was arguing against him here makes me feel this is so even more.

What I mean is that 1 and 2 can still count as ordering to kill Baam twice, but not thrice.

In the first place, ordering FUG and the Po Bidau to be killed was just a way to get the Army to more easily agree to kill off a bunch of Regulars.

I'm not talking about his emotional state or his current personality.

I'm talking about how much Arlene's prophesy depended on Baam getting attached to Rachel.

The only reason Baam is in the tower is because he initially wanted to chase after Rachel.

He wouldn't have been as clingy as he was to Rachel if Arlene was present in his upbringing.

Arlene's prophecy never depended on Rachel at all. There's a reason Headon made sure to separate her from him. Rachel could very easily have convinced Baam to give up climbing or worst case scenario, killed him when his back was turned.
