In the comments page, Nakaba said he drew a new character pertaining to a certain matter (related to NnT and MnY).
Bit of a weird comment, maybe it's related to the Tristan movie?

Perhaps King and Diane's children will finally be resolved? I say this because it is related to "new character" and they are among the last "mysteries" that remain to be solved, eh.

Complain about Gawain all you want. Her Magic looks so good. And Nakaba's choregraphy is on point as usual (really no idea who is better than him at this ATM).

The future fights are going to be great.

Gawain is basically Escanor before he got his shit kicked in by Mel. She has power, but no clue how to use it properly.
Escanor wasn't that arrogant and wanted to avoid hurting people but he was unable to control the urges. He fought for the people and left.

Pellegarde just needs to be protected. Please let nothing bad happen to him. Also Tristan.

Also this is actually good that this happened to Gawain. She was a powerhouse but at truth she is indeed a child without much experience AND knowledge in terms of how to use her power and of the power of others. And this now places her not at the top- but as someone who can improve and grow just like the others I think this chapter was a good direction.

Now that Pellegarde beat her i wonder if she will get attached and maybe get trained to improve alongside percy.

But...this chapter has made me really question who has sunshine still. Cause the way Gawain's super sayian looks just doesn't reflect as sunshine to me at all. Though her attitude screams Escanor this could be another twist. In terms of her power anyway.

She is the "Master of the Sun". Gawain's powers in the Arthurian Legends are sun related too.

I meant the part where he didn't know how to fight properly and got his shit kicked in because of it.

Pelgoat for real humiliated her real bad
Take this with the fact that he was already wounded
And on top of that is holding back
Pelgard probably is one of the top Arthur knights
Only Lancelot should be able to beat Pelgard.
Lancelot is definitely the strongest in the group

It's not only that pelgard outskilled her, he's actually an physical brute as well given how high he threw her with an holding back and wounded self

Now I wonder how good Ironside is when he isn't being nerfed.

The mighty king she was talking about has to be Arhur, right? Or is there another great king in Arthur's family in the legends?

Seeing Tristan's answer to Gawain trying to taunt him, now I'm definitely sure Tristan's already been in some kind of interaction with Mael

Not really. The only other king in the legends is the Fisher King, but he isn't related to Arthur.

Can we agree that Pellegarde is a G in this series? Like mad impressive.

Now, in regards to Gawain, I do hope Nakaba can use this fight as a character development vechile for her. Because I really really want her to be a good character. She has potential, but the problem is she's too much of a mixed bag.
--- Double Post Merged, ---

I don't mind her crying. My gripe is that it was TOO darn quick for that to happen. I would've preferred a much more slower and built up series of events that lead to her crying. Not this.

Also, I see great potential for Tristan, here, in terms of character development. If Nakaba plays his cards right, Tristan learning that he has to decide whether his morals or the fate of the world is more important is a great concept for his character. He wasn't going to fight Gawain; and if he did, Percival would've had a better chance of survival, keeping the hope of the 4KoA alive. To add, it would make him question if his morals is saving or endangering others.

It reminds me of Kenshin and Vash the Stampede, where these characters are conflicted over their morals of refusing to kill, which is similar to Tristan in this case.

Gawain being the shrew to be tamed was obvious, but the fact that Pellegarde was the one doing the taming caught me off-guard. I also didn't expect her to just start bawling her eyes out like that after getting hit once. She doesn't look that badly injured, so it must be either because her pride got hurt or because her whole attitude was really just a facade and she's actually not as tough as she pretends to be. If that's the case, I kinda like it. It's similar to the two sides of Escanor's personality, but more organic and something that she can overcome as part of her character arc. Anyway, Pellegarde is becoming a more and more significant character by the week, and also inching closer and closer towards becoming an ally. I appreciate this development, but the fact that he's obviously not a bad guy makes it difficult for me to consider him a threat in this situation. He's not trying to kill the FKOTA, and even if Percival were to get kidnapped it would probably just result in Percy receiving some proper training at last. I wonder how this arc is going to end, with the prophesized loss of hope nowhere in sight and the assassin still on the loose.

Something else that intrigues me is what Gawain's connection to Arthur is supposed to be. She proudly exclaims that she's descended from a mighty king, which you could take as a reference to Arthur, but it's probably more likely that she's talking about Arthur's father, Uther. Gawain is canonically Arthur's nephew, which would mean that this Gawain is Uther's granddaughter. It's possible that she could actually be Arthur's daughter, presumably via Merlin's science experiments, but then it wouldn't really make sense for her to join the enemies of someone she greatly admires. There's also the fact that Pellegarde doesn't recognize her, which suggests that she hasn't spent much time around Arthur's knights or in Camelot in general. I guess it's possible that Gawain could undergo a change in appearance during the day similar to Escanor, and that's why Pellegarde can't recognize her. I vaguely recall someone theorizing, or maybe just joking, that Gawain's true form is that of a little girl, which could actually be the case given how she just burst into tears over a minor setback.

Q46: 3Apple-san: What is the power level of the current Howzer?
A: Over Matrona's.
I dislike power levels and I hope they're not going to make a comeback, but that is actually an interesting comment. Matrona's power level was 7600, which is higher than any of the Sins at the beginning of NnT. Hendy in his grey demon form was at 5800 and he was single-handedly fighting the Sins and all the holy knights of Liones at the same time. Ignoring the special cases of Arthur, Escanor and Ban, the previous strongest human was Zaratras at 3060 followed by Dreyfus at 3000, so Howzer is now the strongest known normal human in Britannia by a huge margin. I say known because it's likely that other humans have powered up significantly as well, which is actually kind of interesting. Nobody ever managed to reach this level before, so I wonder if the state of the world has something to do with this sudden massive buff? During the Age of Light and Darkness, the goddesses and the demons were by far the strongest clans around. What if that strength wasn't because they were just inherently stronger, but because the world itself was in some way favoring them at the time? Now that their age is over and the Age of Chaos has begun, has that caused humans to suddenly grow much stronger so that they can become the new strongest clan in Britannia?

My money is on Uther Pendragon, but it's hard to say how mighty he is/was considering we don't know anything about him. IIRC the only mention of him was in a short special chapter about Arthur's past with Kay.

I seriously don't get why people are annoyed by Gawain. She's literally just untamed Day Escanor, who believes to be above everyone else and took time and a beating from Meliodas to even consider working with the other Sins. I'm not saying she's the best character in the world or anything but I don't understand why you would like Escanor but not her.

...Or that's what I would be saying if it wasn't for that last page. I will wait until next week but Nakaba, I swear, if literally the only proper difference between Escanor and his female version is that the later cries when defeated... I seriously hope she was just faking her attitude, otherwise I will join the thinking that no female character, no matter how important, will ever be decently written in this series.

I am gladly surprised Pellegarde fought back tho, I wasn't expecting that at all. His words about not killing her right away only further prove he is not evil at all and just wishes to fight strong opponents.

Same here. At least, that's where I hope his character leads. One of my issues with Elizabeth in the previous series was how her pacifism was handled and how naive she was in certain instances. Tristan seems to have inherited that quality from her, but it's not portrayed as a virtue here as with her, but rather as a flaw as Tristan just stood by and let Gawain attack Percy. It's not that he has to let go of his morals, but he has to realize that he can't stand idly by in some cases.

To quote Android 16 from DBZ Abridged:

"But there you stand, the good man doing nothing. And while evil triumphs and your rigid pacifism crumbles into blood-stained dust, the only victory afforded to you is that you stuck true to your guns."

Glad to see that this chapter confirms that sunshine doesn’t just increase everyone’s strength equally and that you have to train to master and use the excess strength or otherwise it’ll just throw your body around instead of being effective. Likewise the person also has to learn how to be a more effective fighter. Not to bring up a Mel vs Escanor rant but this does show that that the Escanor that fought Mel when he was younger was much weaker than the Escanor that fought the Demon King.

Same. I thought for sure we'd have Tristan fight her based on the spoilers. I do find it interesting that Tristan is so adamantly against fighting a comrade. Is he simply soft or is there some incident in his past holding him back? Is it related to him being unable to control his demon powers properly?

The biggest problem with power levels was not how they were used in story but how fans reacted to them imo.

The humans from Stigma back in the day seemed pretty strong, so maybe the experience of going through the Holy War made Howzer and the other human Holy Knights stronger.
