I usually love using mechanics to the max but this time I feel like it takes away the principal objective of MG.

I don't know gnut and gajeel that well and I can say for sure that if they reuse to swap it not because they are scum, but this narrative doesn't serve mafia, since they are happy to swap as is.

You know I'm not sure about that, perhaps they could communicate somehow hiddenly. I have a bad feeling if we do it the Shad-way ("I only trade with Gry and Lambs"-thing). It's better if we have a full commitment list till then and then do the pair.

Okay, I admit I believed there was something I was missing about the swapping mechanics, because they do seem exploitable to the point of game-breaking, which isn't very exciting to be honest. I'm also not big on playing on autopilot if we happen to get lucky and find the whole mafia by D2 via a gimmick, then lynch them one by one till D5 or something with nothing at all they can do about it (at the very least, it's safe to assume a couple people WILL get lynched like that no matter what). It's even less enticing considering that as a townie, it's a coin flip away between total victory and instant defeat.

However, I'm also torn on whether it would be more disrespectful to ignore the mechanics' potential altogether (for all we know the hosts wanted it to be used this way) or to exploit it to the point of the game essentially getting decided by random-kun. Disregarding the "best" possible scenario where every single scum is lined up with a townie, there should be enough situations where there's still something to figure out the old-fashioned way, assuming they don't get taken care of in the two following nights of swapping... probably.
