Other mangakas and even his assistants needed to confirm it was his account so it looks like it was his own idea.

Well, maybe mne at jump pitched him the idea, but its not like they can force (or would) force him.

To me, it looks like it is something that helps him to stay motivated and he had the desire to communicate to fans.
