Cracker had weaker armament than G4, and would've lost if not for time limit.
Katakuri on the other hand, completely destroyed G4 in combat. Time limit was irrelevant to Katakuri.
Katakuri also had stronger armament than G4 Luffy.
Even apart from the stark difference in feats. The stark difference in portrayal is also clear in how the entire BMP wanks up Katakuri as a God, while Cracker receives no such treatment.
You can choose the ignore the obvious and stark difference in portrayal and feats between Katakuri and Cracker if you wish so.
If you wanna be wrong even when provided with solid proof of the opposite, that's on you.
Luffy had backup for the bulk of the fight and needed Nami to weaken Cracker's army. It wasn't 1on1, but 2o1.
Cracker is weaker than Katakuri, yes, but it's never been stated in the manga that there is a wide gap in strength between all 4 of BM's Sweet Commanders.
Delusional. Are you even reading what you are writing? You just said it yourself. Luffy couldn't solo Cracker and Doflamingo because of time limit.
G4 by itself was superior to both Doflamingo and Cracker.
Time limit wouldn't have mattered against Katakuri for the same G4.
Because Katakuri absolutely demolished G4 Luffy, a presumably stronger version of G4 than what Cracker and Doflamingo faced. It took Luffy several hours of beatdown, to gain future sight and grow in stats to a level where he could challenge Katakuri on equal ground.
You stated Luffy would have solo'd Doflamingo and Cracker if not for the time limit. That's not possible because Luffy isn't strong enough to comfortably defeat either one of them wiithin G4's 10 minute time limit. It's a limitation to Luffy's power, which means Luffy is ultimately weaker than both of them. This is also ignoring the fact that Luffy had backup in both fights, which was pivotal in giving Luffy the opening he needed to take both fighters down.
I couldn't disagree harder with your post.
You don't need to be at Katakuri's level to stomp the lower tier of commanders. Commanders are a wide range of tiers. There are All Stars and there are characters that looked weaker than tobi roppos. Cracker would have stomped them just as much.
Doflamingo didn't tank anything from Aokiji. To tank an attack you have to endure an offensive skill. Aokiji simply intimidated Doflamingo by freezing him for a moment. Doflamingo broke out of the ice, sure, but that wasn't to Aokiji's surprise, since Aokiji didn't mean to mess with the SMILE business and enrage Kaido. Had they fought for real, Aokiji would have no doubt demolished Doflamingo. And so would have Fujitora had he wanted to openly fight Doflamingo. The birdcage was just a (quite silly) plot device.
Katakuri falling being tricked with hypnotic gas is a simple "shit happens". It doesn't mean anything on his level or Caesar's, who doesn't even have haki. Caesar actually defeated a Luffy that was already plenty stronger than him, by playing his physics cards right.
For the record, I do think Katakuri is stronger than Doflamingo, but the gap in ability is like the difference between the #1 boxer and #4 boxer in the heavyweight division. There isn't going to be a large gap in ability, and Katakuri will lose if he drops his guard.
I am curious as to why you think both Admirals were holding back. Doflamingo was there to kill Smoker and his entire crew. Doflamingo was about ready to kill the entire population of Dressrosa with Birdcage. If the Admirals were actually strong enough to "demolish" Doflamingo, they would have done so.
Matches against Luffy are probably the best comparison we have of their power. Katakuri was also dominated by Bound Man. In the manga, the moment Luffy went Gear 4th, the initial confrontation between both Katakuri and Luffy was much like how Doflamingo was being sent flying by Gear 4 attacks. Both suffered damage and were overwhelmed, but Katakuri and Doflamingo utilized their respective trump cards to mitigate the effects of Gear 4. Katakuri with his Observation Haki + ability to control his body's shape in order to evade all of Luffy's punches, and Doflamingo using his Awakening to grant himself a massive shield.
You can't say Katakuri "dominated" Gear 4 when all he managed to accomplish was a stalemate against Bound Man using his Awakening (Muso Donuts) until Luffy retreated. The same for Doflamingo, he held Bound Man off until just before his time limit went off--less successful than Katakuri, but Doflamingo just recovered from a fatal injury minutes before Gear 4 was initiated. In the case of Katakuri, you can argue he had an "edge" over Luffy with his Awakened powers, whereas Doflamingo was disadvantaged, as he was on the losing side before Luffy reverted, but take a moment to remember the difference between Doflamingo vs Luffy Pre-Gamma Knife (Ch. 745, 760, and 780) vs Post-Gamma Knife (Ch. 782, 783).
Pre-Gamma Knife, Doflamingo VERY EASILY dispatched Base Luffy with virtually no resistance, one-shoting him in their first and second confrontations. in chapter 780, Luffy was bloodlusted after the whole Bellamy incident, and ramped up his intensity. Doflamingo was still pressing him incredibly hard with minimal effort, evading all his attacks, and forcing Luffy to lose ground (just from one page... it was interrupted by Law's "death"). Post Gamma-Knife, Luffy suddenly had the strength to momentarily overwhelm Doflamingo for the FIRST time in the entire fight. This went into Chapter 783, which Doflamingo only displaying a moderate edge in capability over Luffy, but he wasn't in full control of the fight like he was previously. This clearly shows that Doflamingo was taken down several notches due to Law's intervention
Does this excuse Doflamingo's lack of ability against Gear 4 at the time? Yes. Does this suggest Doflamingo would be comparable or equal to Gear 4th Luffy in power? No. Doflamingo would have run into the same issues against Gear 4 Luffy, but he would have been in a position to evade or at least defend against Luffy's attacks more efficiently, and perhaps find an opportunity to counter attack. He would have certainly held on until after Luffy's timer ran out, and then cut him down.
I can't argue for Snake Man because the gap in attack power between that and Bound Man are questionable, but Snake Man IS speed based, and less about power. Bound Man would be redundant if it were equal in power to Snake-Man, which is faster.
That hype's meaningless, as it doesn't stand for any specific tier. It means "she's strong", and we know how dangerous she is without of her fruit, but if we're ranking them for strength we're considering fair fights, and "she's strong" in a fair fight means anything from Yonko to Doflamingo.
Hancock is impossible to get a clear assessment because she lacks solid feats, so we're forced to rely on other assessments like hype to give us a general idea of how strong she is in a fight. It's clear from Sengoku's comment that Hancock isn't someone an Admiral could one-shot.
Ehhhh wouldn’t say Kata , deffs doffy tho
Vice admirals aren’t really special anymore in one piece , Barto completely fodderized a vice captain ( granted he has a broken ass fruit )
Catarina and vasco are pretty tough but they could range from anywhere in strength and coby wasn’t interested in fighting
Depends. There's a wide gap in strength between the Shichibukai and VAs (3 VAs have Admiral hype). But for others like Whitebeard's 16 Commanders, all 16 are equal in rank and there's no indication there's a wide gap in strength between all of them.
