I am not familia with the size of the game and how many groups can be added within the game

As for a game this size if we go with regular town vs mafia it would be 5 mafia vs 14 towns according to the rules, however a lot of hosts tend to give Mafia some extra members to make it 1/3 instead of 1/4 and sometimes dangerously close to 1/2 depending on the mechanics build into the game.
With 2 mafia groups it could either be 3-3-13 or even 4-4-12 though the latter seems unfair to town if mafia happens to kill one another it is fair. If there is a third role in the game then usually the mafia tend to lose one of their total numbers but if the group has a slightly higher amount of players, like if the rules say 5 mafia for 18-20 players and we got 19 or 20 players, then mafia keeps their regular size and hosts just add an extra third role.
Now if we get to anti-town roles like lovers which are secondary and basically traitors to both mafia and town or fake and real traitor roles within town and sleeper then it gonna get real hard to predict what kinda mixture we have with 19 players.

Personally I think we have 1 mafia and one killing third role, either Mentor, SK or SS, because 3 kills per night due a 2nd Mafia seems a bit too much with 19 players even with the Witch factors in play. Perhaps lovers on top as they are really well liked by many hosts and punish both mafia and town. With 2 night kills and extra kills/protection/etc due Witch factors I'd expect this game to last around day 5 to day 7 depending on Lovers being in the game and on how many Mafias we can lynch in the first 3-4 days.

My role is old school, not one of my favs but I like it.

Maybe she thinks anything a drunk person says isn‘t their real thoughts, but I‘d say the contrary is true, a drunk person would be easier to spot problems on

Tbh I'm happy to wake up and see that people are sharing bits and using what they can to discuss. Shad being so hyped about the game and then taking time to join + not wanting to say much didn't look trustworthy but the game is just starting, got actually curious about if the majority would be in the situation he claims to be and then just decide to keep quiet about themselves. Which seemed a bit weird to me... If we're 20 and got 7 factors I don't believe we have a vast majority of people depending on the factors for roles but only with more comments we'd see where other stands about the usual (and needed) modus of providing stuff. Hmmm regarding that start with him, at least he seemed to actually provide along with his reluctancy with the measure, while others actually seem to be fully against it.

Now that we've had our round of greetings, let me stress the point that a mislynch is even worse than mafia sniping a Holder. It's fine if you don't want to claim active/passive because you're vanilla with a WF, I guess, but just hint something else in that case. Let's not gift the scum the perfect excuse to blend in.

For my part, role's active and requires some care, so to speak.


@Holt, since you agreed on hinting being best, feel like channeling your inner Seraph?

@Brandish μ, in the spirit of not going into great detail - if you were looking from my point of view, specifically considering that "I'm town" is not a hint, would you say your hint should be seen as satisfactory? I'll take your answer very seriously

I'm thinking there's one big mafia team. Then they could hoard the witch factors, or strategically release them. That is my guess.

There's 4-4 split on the lust ability (prostitute or escort), max of 8 nights. Does that perhaps indicate the structure of the game?

The time I recall people not wanting it was when we indeed seemed to have a massive amount of vanillas, so we wouldn't expose the ones with roles. I don't think that's the same now (specially with what people have shared alrdy) so arguing with people on how this can still be done safely and bla bla bla feels so repetitive game after game.

So, along with Farfalla's "protect noob" suggestion, Vand joins the bad D1 advice list for me.

Rereading I can see where the misunderstanding comes from but I didn't suggest fake hinting, I meant giving a hint that doesn't involve active/passive (which on its own is not a solid hint in general). I already suggested as much in my first post:

Whether any of them is mafia or not is not indicative on the stand on the issue. Although I do sort of also see Holt's argument on the information withhold generally benefiting anti-towns more on day 1.

I had also intepreted Holt's words as being pro-hinting but apparently he's of the opposite opinion. So the ones against sharing info would be Shad, Holt, DD, you though you hinted, plus Brand's usual style if I haven't missed anyone?

That makes for a good bunch of people I don't want to vote...

Interesting, so while claiming to be Van rival, you actually mirror exactly what he said on that matter? hmm, pompom, not very believable vote then.

7 witch powers / secondary roles in a set of 20 people so every third has one basically. Not all are great and the use up factors making it strictly worse than regular roles. Perhaps it's not that dangerous to reveal who has those as some of them are also weak-sauce. Depending on how the Anti-town roles are, perhaps it makes even sense for them to hunt the perma roles down first. Too little info to jump to conclusions here though.
