One thing that is consistent about the HxH world is that characters do not take moral stances at all. They do have varying moralities (It is a problem for gon to kill someone in cold blood, it is much less of a problem for killua), but it is insanely rare for hxh characters to go "This is amoral and you should not do it". One of the very few characters who actually does that is Oito. Oito wants to save Momoze even tho that makes her own death (and woble's) more likely and she calls Kurapika out for thinking differently. And I think Kurapika likes that a lot.
Even when thinking about it, it is hard to come up with more examples. There are displays of comradeship and saving your friends and loyalty and stuff, but that is not the same. These are personal stances, like gon/biscuit/killua saving Genthru. But Gon would not call someone out for not doing that. Gon does call out the spider for being hypocrites, but that is also not really a moral stance. He is mad at them for judging kurapika when they are murderers themselves. That is more Gon protecting his friend. if anything, gon's POV here is that people shouldnt judge others if they do something themselves. But that is not the same as "killing is wrong" or anything like that. Gon does not have much of a problem with hisoka, because hisoka doesnt mind when others come for his throat. Almost all HxH characters accept the amorality around them as normal. Leorio is half an exception. He does have some moral viewpoints (he dedicates his life to saving other people), but his moral is a little whimsical because he has many flaws. But he could turn out to have a strong moral stance in the future. But aside from Oito and maybe Leorio, really, i cannot see anyone else whose moral goes beyond their own stance and extends to the world around them. At all
And that is not just a normal shonen manga thing. In OP or Naruto, you see lots of characters holding speeches about this or that being morally wrong. And they often take active part in stopping that from happening. Moral discussions are quite common in shonen manga. Deathnote had moral questions, for example. Neverland too (ray's way or emma's way). Of course manga like dragonball are not deep about that, but Goku still would call out injustice around him we he sees it. Gon might do that, too, but he hardly goes out of his way to do it. In general, the world of HxH lives by "anything goes" and hardly ever judges to a larger extent than "i dont like that", unless it is a personal issue for them.
Oito is the first character to raise a moral point strongly and against her own interest and I think that is notable. She is the first character to fight against the deep cynicism in the HxH world and she meets Kurapika at a point where he thinks of himself as a monster. I think Kurapika is the one other character who REALLY wants to be moral but thinks he is not allowed to be. Gon didnt like to kill the ants, but after he did it, he was fine with it. Kurapika, after killing Uvogin, was broken inside and had a strong physical reaction. Kurapika also judged Leorio for just wanting money and really liked that leorio wanted to help others. But Kurapika would still kill melody in cold blood for his mission. I think him meeting Oito and Oito being the first outspoken moral characters in the series is important to see
