In fairness, it's not too insane to think there could be more at play here... Even the series refers to this as BS. But that speculation aside, the series goes into a fair bit of detail regarding specifically what aria can and can't do.

Except that that doesn't make sense. The whole thing with lyboric's squad was that they could go aroundtower rules a bit. Aria's could alter a tiny bit the rule that people perceive the flow of time in the same way. How does it make sense that bam copies this and is amplified to something that's not even connected to the rule? Bam is wonky in regards to tower rules (at times it is said he breaks the rules, at times it seems he has unrestricted permissions) but it doesn't make sense that bam could copy an item's abilities to slightly bend a specific rule and do something entirely unrelated to said rule. You'd think a juiced up version of aria's ability would be something like severely altering how people perceive time.

He is pretty tired obviously yama is half LPB
So i don’t think he can win any fight but we have to be honest he is pretty tired .

Example is they both defeated/injured their somewhat depleted opponent with a simple attack, tired Yama just blew the head off of an HR PB

I saw that as well the other day... You'd think it's bellerir all things considered. It' be weird if the family's highest ranked officer wasn't in the picture a couple years ago. Listening to gustang's talking to traumerei recently I suppose it wouldn't be THAT insane if gustang simply decided to give his family to revolutionaries.

The series is pretty clear that for the most part fug has never had anything close to a victory against the empire and it literally stands no chance (so far). From the known slayers only luslec is suggested to be relevant enough to warrant attention from a family head. Its not really new that yama doesn't stand a chance against a great family's top warriors either.

Slayers were never really meant to defeat the Family Heads. They might believe and have been told otherwise, but it seems apparent that they were in reality never much more than idols meant to hold FUG together during the long wait for the destined child to appear in the Tower. They're still among the most powerful and skilled people in the organization, though, and it's somewhat necessary to recognize those people with special titles and authority to keep them around and at least reasonably loyal.

I don't know about this. I don't think they have the potential to defeat the FH or anything, but since the reveal about spells I believe Luslec has something specific in mind for each of them, which is supposed to make them threatening enough to FHs. Because the intention to kill all the FHs is genuine. There wouldn't be internal struggles for this position if all was needed was someone strong enough.

He looks like he'd definitely lose and given how siu is treating him in this story i keep getting annoyed why he introduced fug and dog kind to begin with. It's making the story unbearable but my want of closure makes me keep coming back hence the annoyance, sorry.


I definitely think that the way he had introduced slayers concept and Yama didn't give me the expectation that a "god" of fug has to run away from a 3rd ranker of family. Ok maybe that fight would be close but being told to run away after just having received a huge power up AFTER already being a Slayer? Please seriously that's just terrible idea and storytelling i don't have any other way to say it.

Fair, that's a real possibility. Though I would argue it's at least an unlikely one. It's also worth noting that there's a difference between a high ranker winning against another (cha's team killed a LPB DD iirc and after dowon was sealed cha went on a murder spree) and winning a full on battle/war against the army. Fug has some pretty ancient folk, they wouldn't just forget a battle (barring spells and shenanigans of that nature). Let alone the fact that as of now tower residents killing a family head seems straight up impossible.
