My guess for a possible biweekly release

September Volume 38
October 2024-401/402
November 2024-403/404
December 405/406
January 407/408
February 409/410

Spring Break 2025-Volume 39

March
April
May

June 411/412
July 413/414
August 415/416
September 417/418
October 419/420

If ten more chapters after 420...

Winter break 2025--Volume 40

November
December
January

February 421/422
March 423/424
April 425/426
May 427/428
June 429/430

if 20 more chapters after 420

Summer Break 2026--Volume 41

July
August
September

October 431/432
November 433/434
December 435/436
January 437/438
February 439/440

Spring Break 2027--Volume 42

Obviously this is a wild guess and it might just be monthly or longer between chapters
but I think biweekly with three months breaks could work really well for everyone.

It could work well for Togashi in that he can work at a more relaxed pace than weekly.

It could work well for Jump in that instead
of just selling one volume a year they sell
two volumes a year maybe even three

It could work well for us readers
because it's more Hunter x Hunter

I think this is very possible if Togashi's
is more reliant on his assistants to do
stuff like inking or shading or whatever
while he just focuses on pencils

But I could be wrong. Either way I'm just happy it's back
It's back in WSJ so it's not going to released biweekly.

I didn't even know Jujutsu was ending:bkitty.
I think it should release weekly for now until Jump finds a replacement.

How high do you think is the possibility that we'll get 20 chapters in a row? (Excluding magazine breaks) Usually the new volume is released as he returns but this time the manga is scheduled to return a month later and he is working on the 418th chapter already.
i will unlock actual hatsu irl if this happens

Take that trade any day. JJK is just gibberish at this point (and has been for more than half of its run...)
Well of course, we are talking about the goat here. Jokes aside it's kinda sad for JJK, it showed some great potential in Shibuya and suddendly everything from culling games onward turned out to be meh at best.

I actually think JJK is perfectly fine as it is. I mean I don't really understand all the nitty gritty details but I think the final battle (presumably) has been good
and I could see it really ending in 267 then maybe a brief Heian era flashback for Sukuna in 268 or 269. 270 wraps loose threads that matter to Yuji's story.
271 epilogue and conclusion. Will it answer everything. No but I don't think it needs to.

I feel that we have reached a point where it's not necessary for mangaka to answer every question because manga has become bigger than manga.
You got anime, light novels, video games, movies, etc. I think as long as there is respect for the original then I'm all for expanded content.
Of course that's not to say that I want manga to just become a cliff notes version of itself. I mean a big reason I love Hunter x Hunter is how
Togashi will be just as interested in say something "dull" like an election as he is writing an intense battle that it becomes a battle
but then he will be like Kite vs Pitou off screen. Of course it's done for effect but I like when Togashi writes what Togashi wants to write.
I don't expect nor want Gege to write what want Togashi wants. I want Gege to write what Gege wants to write
and maybe later someone can add the details.

Lol, i'll agree to disagree on Shibuya, i think that's where it started going off the rails. Culling game was straight trash from the start and has somehow gotten worse.

But glad HxH is coming back, it's never faltered! Even though I wish it ended with Gon and his dad in the tree (just because this arc doesn't seem like it will ever end given the constant delays). It was a great end.

It's not about answering questions, it's about the story falling apart and just becoming a series of confusing battles and suddenly "uh...the end?" It's not a story anymore, it's bad fanfic.

yeah I just don't see what exactly is "falling apart" about JJK's story. Are the battles confusing? Yeah but that's just shonen battle manga for you.
Also it's a story. It has a plot, characters and conflict. Just because it doesn't go the direction you want doesn't make it a "bad fanfic"
which is stupid because it's still Gege writing it. I'm not saying JJK is a masterpiece but it's fine how it is.
Even if there is no Heian Era flashback it still is enjoyable enough. Sukuna doesn't need to be all that deep to be an effective villain.

I completely disagree. 60 chapters on a fight is just nonsense. For context the entirety of York New is less than 60 chapters. Heck, Netero vs Meruem might be 6 or 8 chapters and we all know which fight is better. JJK dropped the ball after shibuya.

for context JJK isn't HxH. for context Gege isn't Togashi. I think it's stupid to want them to be or to be like only Togashi's way is right.
I don't see anything wrong with 60 chapters on a fight or 600 or 7 pages or 4 panels or
even off panel fights as they each have a different effect.

Of course I like Netero vs Mereum more since HxH is my favorite but I'm not gonna be like JJK sucks because it's not that.

I completely disagree it dropped the ball
after Shibuya. This is just like how trashing Bleach used to be popular and so many said it went downhill after Soul Society but now it's popular to praise Bleach. While I have maintained that Bleach gets better with each arc. The Culling Games and Vs Sukuna are a good way to end a good series.

Whatever people think should be done differently would be the REAL fanfic.
Let Gege cook.
Let Togashi cook.
Let mangaka cook.

It's not about depth. Gege just literally threw his hands in the air and said "uh...last arc...battle royale?" And then, he just kept going on an on with those battles with no real story going on anymore. This arc is full 40% of the story now! Up to the Shibuya arc, it was an actual manga with a plot that was moving, but now? It's just "haha, you didn't expect this domain! oh, you did? And you countered it with that domain? Well, how about...THIS OTHER DOMAIN!"

It's just awful. Not even a coherent story anymore.

the last arc is Shinjuku Showdown which is the whole battle against Sukuna. It's not a battle royale. Culling games was a battle royale.
Sukuna fight is everyone vs Sukuna with Plan A then Plan B, etc until we get Yuji vs Sukuna. The fight is the story. The domains are
how Gege tells the story of JJK. You don't like it, ok, but that doesn't mean it's not a coherent story.
Or at least if you really think it's incoherent then maybe an actual reason beyond you don't like shonen battle manga being mostly battles.\\\\\\\\|\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

I never said JJK is or should be HxH. I'm talking about quality.
I'm comparing them because we are in the HxH sub and they share the same genre. If you want to change it I can bring Second Yoshioka arc at 60 chapters too and the difference in quality is abysmal.

Really? Vagabond? That's like going to
a burger joint and shitting on it because
it's not a filet mignon.

You aren't talking about quality.
You are being elitist and it's not a good look for you or for the Hunter x Hunter community.

Don't get it twisted. I am not saying everyone needs to love or even like JJK.
But it gets annoying when people say a
series is trash or gets to become trash but they never actually have a legit reason why beyond they just don't like it and that's fine
I just think they should be more honest.

However since this is derailing if anyone wants to actually explain why they think
JJK fell off I will make a thread for it
In the JJK section.
