Gonna throw this one out there - Imu is also a D and just happens to have been a bad one. If Lily one of the founding 20 was a D I'm no longer so sure that some of the other rulers weren't either. Considering how close a relationship Imu seems to have had with Lily I could see him being a D as well. Maybe like an evil version of Luffy.

Imu being Joyboy's Blackbeard. Had that thought myself. Just a Blackbeard that succeeded and changed over time.

As for the other part of your statement. I actually thinking be cool if they weren't. I don't want them going too crazy with the D thing. But hey that's just me.

Yeah BB seems modeled after Rocks, so wouldn't be surprised if there was another version of this line of thought earlier in history. Like Joyboy was the first pirate but unlikely the only pirate of that era. So definitely could see it being possible that a rival pirate of similar strength just won and took over the world.

Haha yeah I don't think I'd enjoy seeing an evil Luffy either. However, on other rulers being Ds I think depending on what it stands for it could actually be a good direction to take the story. Imagine instead of two separate forces with different origins like we've been hinted at (AK vs 20 Kingdoms), it turns out that all of them were actually originally the AK itself and this was a civil war of sorts where the AK as a whole was split across ideological lines. It could also explain why the 20 kingdom side also had an Ancient Weapon.

I mentioned that in the 12 keys thread and I think nothing has really strayed away from that type of narrative: a civil war/betrayal is almost a certainty if we take a look at most Kingdoms and their narratives. The number of key figures is still a mystery, but 12 is still a pretty predominant number.

That aside, I think Wano still has plenty of narrative to offer: it's both the entrance to the "underworld" in the series (and it actually has pluton underneath), but the Sky is also likely to hold some secrets. It's weird how Mt. Fuji wasn't even mentioned during our last visit there. I'd say we've already seen an entrance to this "underworld" I'm mentioning during the Roger flashback! We also have a submerged Onigashima shown in a cover story despite the present one being just outside the Flower Capital. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the missing eye of Jaya that's long been theorized to be underwater/opposite to Shandora.

With chapter 1125 gave me a half cooked theory that the man marked by flame might have been a Gorosei. Considering how Imu fired Saturn literally lol and survive somehow survived some how. Or he's CD that betrayed them and somehow survived Garling the execution and they believe he is dead.

Another theory with Garlings getting promoted to Gorosei. The Shanks twin will be promoted to head God Knight. And the saga will center around them and Shanks.

Another theory Joy boy and his crew created the Bink sake song or the song is about him and his crew.

Makes sense to me, especialy when considering that she apparantly has deeper knowledge about the D. name.
She also appeared to be much stronger than your average Drum Island resident.
What’s the irony of it her being at the reverie in Imu’s castle without him realizing

Quite sure Momonosuke tossed Onigashima on the sea

We close act 3 with Onigashima still outside the Flower Capital. I can't garantee I'm not missing some panel where he mentions it, I don't believe so, but then we see it submerged in the Yamato side story, and that's exactly what I'm talking about.

Lol, that makes me wanting it to be true even more.
Her being a former queen would also explain why she went ahead and moved to the castle after Wapol fled from Blackbeard.

It doesn't need to be told.

The submerged castle has the battle damage from the battle against Kaido, such as the horn that Zoro cut off...

Fair interpretation, can't argue that it is indeed a possibility.

But plenty of characters also have scars in the same shape and location as other characters, usually from different generations. You also have missing limbs, etc. Some other characters, like Luffy and Shirahoshi, are considered the "current version" of past characters. Emeth had one of his horns cut off.

Why couldn't a battle in the past have had similar results? Why is proof not needed when there was no mention of it being moved, we have an entire Wano submerged, and the last time we saw Onigashima, it was not submerged?

What is The Most Exciting Thing the One Piece Could Be?

Some fans think this or that about what the One Piece could be and I will contrast it with the reasoning available to me.

1) The One Piece is... An Artifact: Jewel.
- It has been suggested in the past that the One Piece is an artifact. Specifically, a Jewel that controls the ocean. I believe they came up with this idea based on another idea they had previously. A "Sea Devil" controlling the sea who created the Devil Fruits. Personally, I don't like this idea because, along with insisting there is a Sea Devil, they are also now adding that he controls the sea through the use of this jewel. It's kind of on the nose don't you think?

2) The One Piece is... Friendship.
- Some people believe it is the friends made along the way and the journey itself. The average fan will tell you that Oda already explained it won't be something like that. It will be an actual reward. Something that isn't just an idea or a feeling.

3) The One Piece is... another Ancient Weapon.
- Some people believe that the One Piece is a weapon even greater than any of the other Ancient Weapons. Uhhh let's see... There's no specific reason why it can't be a weapon, but that would be weird. There are already Three Ancient Weapons. They're already basically Weapons of Mass Destruction. Why add a fourth one?

4) The One Piece is... A Matter Replicator.
- This one I actually like because it's a really cool idea and such a device would stop things such as world hunger. I have only seen this idea come up once or twice throughout the years, and I even brought it up myself before.

5) The One Piece is... A Terraforming Device
- Ooh here's a neat one. A Terraforming Device would potentially account for why the planet is the way it is and how it can be fixed in the future. This is a somewhat recent idea that has come up.

...

I will now present what I think it is as compared to those options.

X) The One Piece is... Ancient Artifact: World Heart.
- This idea is not self explanatory. It's also not the "Mecha Heart" theory if you've ever seen that. I didn't list it because I... don't really consider it a real idea... but nevermind that.
- This "World Heart" I speak of is actually not original. I'm taking this idea from another story. The only important thing to know is that this World Heart allows the Ancient Kingdom to be recreated. The way it does this is by containing special types of information; it is the knowledge, history, and philosophy of their people. It may be argued that the poneglyphs already do that, but that's not necessarily true. The poneglyphs give specific kinds of information.

Historical Poneglyphs" reveal pieces of ancient history, as well as messages written by ancient people.
"Instructional Poneglyphs" contain instructions and/or clues about the locations of Historical Poneglyphs.
Road Poneglyphs (ロード歴史の本文ポーネグリフ, Rōdo Pōnegurifu?, literally meaning "Road Text of History") detail a location. The combined locations detailed by all four Road Poneglyphs allows one to locate Laugh Tale.

Noticeably, the poneglyphs contain pertinent information relating to the current events following the fall of the Ancient Kingdom. We have also learned they were created as a result of the war between the Ancient Kingdom and the Great Alliance (though this could be inferred much earlier on). The information in the poneglyphs does not teach a person how to create their technology or what their personal values were. Instead, things like Joyboy's message to the Fishmen were left behind on them.

The One Piece in this scenario contains different kinds of information. It is a National Treasure of the Ancient Kingdom because it allows them to immortalize their culture, and then recreate it if it is ever destroyed. If it's recreated, then all of the other things mentioned above can be achieved. The sea can be controlled, more ancient weapons can be made, and it's possible they could even make a Matter Replicator or a Terraforming Device. They could even go beyond that and create an entire array of new technologies like teleporters.

So.... I think the One Piece has an all-encompassing effect where when it's found it creates endless possibilities. It's not just one thing. It's a million things - including things we've never heard of before or could even conceive of. There's no telling how advanced their civilization was and how much it will change the world if it's discovered.

All those things that could be created... it should produce the same reaction from readers as the Pluton Blueprints did for Franky. If I recall correctly he questioned whether humans could even construct something like it - meaning it was so far beyond what he knew humans were capable of that he didn't know it could exist. That is one of the only times we had a real reaction directly related to the awe-inspiring technology the Ancient Kingdom developed. Pluton was just 1 thing. They made a bunch of stuff, and I think the One Piece allows you to make it all.

It is also a SELF-PRESERVATION thing. It's a way for the Ancient Kingdom to survive even if it is destroyed because someone who carries its will can find it. Why else would the Ancient Kingdom leave behind poneglyphs that lead to it? There's a reason behind that, and the only logical thing I can make sense of is that they were attempting to immortalize their culture. Hm.. "immortalizing themselves" seems to carry negative connotations. I'll say it was a way to avoid an EXTINCTION EVENT.

Yeah. I forgot that's the best way to put it.

The One Piece is a device that was created to help the Ancient Kingdom's civilization to sustain an extinction event. Even if most of them, or even all of them died, someone could find it later and rebuild what they once had.

Which extinction event were they hoping to avoid? Was it man-made or was it natural?

Well... I think we know the Celestial Dragons performed genocide on them. That's basically an extinction event. Their way to survive that was by making poneglyphs leading to the One Piece so whoever survived it or carried their will in the future could find it. If that happens, then they are successful in continuing the will of their civilization through such an event.

It would be a new "dawn". In the words of Dr. Vegapunk, "... It could be considered... a "will" that is carried on". I think those missing parts of his speech was him explaining what he believed the purpose of the One Piece was because shortly after he said he hoped Luffy finds it, and that only Roger's crew knows the truth of the world.

An interesting part about that is almost any time a really intelligent guy hopes something important happens... it usually doesn't happen. That's foreshadowing in that case.

Blackbeard... is trying to make a kingdom. If he gets a hold of the One Piece, I fear he will make an Ancient Evil Kingdom. He's aiming for the "King" position that Joyboy tried and failed to achieve during the Void Century.

The Mechanism Behind Devil Fruit Evolutions
I will explain what Vegapunk did not!
- I told people even before Vegapunk showed up that he was going to leave them with more questions than answers. He's a science guy. He doesn't understand spiritual things. That's the important part to know about him.

The Mechanism
- It's known as Metaphysical Reproduction.
- It involves a concept known as Subtle Energy.
- Karma is a Subtle Energy.
- Karma takes the form of Subtle Energies in your own body that develop as a result of your actions. It can manifest as physical sickness because the subtle energies in your body are not balanced.
- Subtle Energy comes from the Ancient Belief that the human soul contains energy. Willpower, Spirit, and Life Force all mean the same thing in this sense. It's all Subtle Energy.

In short, the real explanation is that the Subtle Energy in people's bodies leaves imprints of itself on the Subtle Energy residing inside of a Devil Fruit. When the human body expires, the Subtle Energies of the Human Soul and the Devil Fruit leave to find new vessels. However, because the Human Soul left an imprint on the Devil Fruit, the next version of that Devil Fruit carries on new elements. This is what causes Devil Fruits to evolve over time.

This is how people's Wills/Dreams affect the evolution of Devil Fruits.

Author Note: it's possible that the reason why Devil Fruits are "fated" to belong to some people is because they share the same dream of the previous users of that Devil Fruit. The Subtle Energies are being aroused by compelling forces and gravitate to each other.

The Clear Clear Fruit Sucks?
... In some places, I see fans not being able to make sense of Shiryu's Clear-Clear Fruit in regard to why it is a worthwhile ability for one of Blackbeard's most important crewmembers.

Fans suggest that it offers no substantial combat abilities. They suggest that it does not offer powerful abilities like other Devil Fruits, and that Shiryu is therefore a weak character compared to other Devil Fruit users.

Because of this... I wanted to bring up two concepts in warfare. Attrition Warfare and Maneuver Warfare. This is the point that I feel fans don't give enough thought about or maybe they don't think about it at all.

Attrition Warfare is what the fans want to see. They want two strong forces to fight each other in a "mid or high dif" fight. This simply means they want to see a lot of action, and it should last a relatively long time with both people being exhausted by the end of it like Aokiji Vs. Akainu on Punk Hazard.

HOWEVER, that is only one type of warfare. There is another type that is known as the opposite of Attrition Warfare. It is called Maneuver Warfare.

"Maneuver warfare, or manoeuvre warfare, is a military strategy which emphasizes movement, initiative and surprise to achieve a position of advantage. Maneuver seeks to inflict losses indirectly by envelopment, encirclement and disruption, while minimizing the need to engage in frontal combat." - Wikipedia

In other words, Maneuver Warfare seeks to defeat Superior Forces by exploiting weaknesses in Attrition Warfare tactics.

The Clear-Clear Fruit is not intended for Attrition Warfare. It adds an element to Blackbeard's crew that allows them to take advantage of "counters". This is exactly what has been happening, too. Shiryu attacked Moriah without him knowing, and captured him with Devon. Then, later, he got the decisive blow on Garp because of it. He is obviously using it to great effect. He himself called it a useful power and I think it's because he understands types of warfare.

Most people use Attrition Fights, and that means Shiryu should be able to exploit them and beat them even if they are a superior fighter (Like Garp). It can be said that he got a cheap shot in, but that's exactly what he's good at. I don't see an issue with his style. In the case with Garp, that was simply the "Initiative" aspect of Maneuver Warfare. He saw a chance and he took it.

STEALTH is a major component of Maneuver Warfare. It is one of the strongest forms of it.

Another interesting aspect of this ability is that if Shiryu awakens it then he can turn buildings, vehicles, or possibly even other people invisible. These create a wide array of possibilities in terms of Maneuver Warfare.

The Bleakest Future Volume I: Shanks Vs. Luffy
What is the worst thing you can think of happening if Shanks and Luffy end up fighting?

Here's what I think it is: Blackbeard shows up and kills Shanks at the end.

This is a prediction that this event will take place.

Do you agree or disagree?

Observe this panel closely.

I said this a long time ago, but I couldn't find the panel for it back then. Laffite seems to have been using The Six Styles (Rokushiki) since very early on in the story. Back then, we didn't have any idea what his abilities could include because we had only learned of things like Moonwalk (Geppou) at a later time.

Laffite used to be known as "Demon Sheriff". This was because he tortured prisoners. However, it's possible that he may have learned some Cipher Pol style moves while he was an officer. Further, he was right beside Blackbeard before and he seems to have evaded Ace's attack.

In any case, it's clear in that picture that Lafitte used a form of hyperspeed. I only see Burgess, Doc Q, Stronger, and Blackbeard being hit by it. Meanwhile, Lafitte seems to have evaded it and then quickly came back in an instant. He even has like speed-lines on him and it says "Hyuu" to highlight it.

Anyway.... This relates to who the matchups are for Blackbeard Pirates Vs. Strawhat Pirates.

Laffite and Sanji are the fast ones.

Well my guess is that Blackbeard is going to kill Shanks even before the latter meets up with Luffy.
My thoughts on your idea:
I think Shank‘s and Luffy‘s future sight should be enough to prevent this from happening.
But then again when remembering Luffy vs Kaido the unnamed (at least I don‘t remember him having a name) CP0 agent managed to sneak attack Luffy in the midst of the battle, so I guess it‘s possible for BB to do it as well.

Wait, didn't Ace vs Blackbeard happened at the end of the Ennies Lobby arc, after the CP9 were already defeated?

the real reason behind the "vanishing of the sunny" is the bounties update that has been made public with the newspaper that came out during the 2 days while everyone was K.O....

I think Yamato is gradually growing past from roleplaying as Oden. Her staying even though Oden sailed out first chance he got shows that growth.
