Are they messing up Kagurabachi's promotion? Because didn't they list the video on Shonenjump's YouTube channel! why did they do this?

Oh hey, it's been a while since you commented Sofia-chan

Probably just a mistake

This has been typical for the series so far. They keep PVs unlisted, usually for a few days, only to make people want to follow them over on twitter. Definitely not fumbling on the promotional side of things cause I've seen a few posts that they're bundling promo cards for the series with the final volume of MHA since Horikoshi recommended it a while back. Paired with the issue cover, it's definitely a lot more advertising than some of those earlier volumes got. Lmao.

Someone in the comments said "that's not Miriko, that's Martha" (lol)

[Nakura]

Here's the full statement on his new series. Apparently he originally wanted to just do the art and not the story, but his editor convinced him otherwise.

Horikoshi won't be taking a break at all????

Interview:

"I feel really lucky over the success of MHA, so I know there's a lot of pressure around my next move," revealed Horikoshi. "I'm planning to start a new manga as soon as I possibly can.

"I was thinking to committing myself to simply drawing my next project, and letting someone else write the story, but my editor advised me 'It will be better if you do it all yourself.' With that in mind, I've slowly started writing and drawing the thumbnails my next manga.

Marvel and Weekly Shonen Jump Exchange Art to Celebrate the Final Volume of 'My Hero Academia'

'My Hero Academia' creator Kohei Horikoshi joins superstar Marvel artists Humberto Ramos and Edgar Delgado to make worlds collide with an art exchange depicting heroes from both franchises.

Nice and everything but for me sounds like typical author PR, no way he returns with a new series in less than 3 years at the very least.

In the new release promotion space at the end of the digital version of Jump Comics, Nue no Onmyouji was advertised in huge letters with the tagline "Super popular!"

Not the 1st time Jump keeps sending two different messages through the ToC and volume advertising lol

Sad thing is, much common and "acceptable" to have canon lesbians in shonen because men find girl x girl hot and view it as kink.

Likewise with how it is much more common to see canon gays or shonen ai in shoujo mangas.

I mean, replace the lesbian orgy in csm with a gay orgy and see how people react.

It is sad.

I know there is a scene where Denji offers Yoshida a rimming tho. But it is not the same

Do the same thing the other way around with shounen ai and shoujo mangas and the female/gay readers will do the same, it's just how it works.

--- Double Post Merged, Dec 4, 2024 ---

i will, I'm almost finishing nisekoi, then I'll hop into nue

Just be aware that the first few chapters are the weakest part of the manga

Some notes about these lists:
Kagurabachi had a phenomenal year, having the best average ranking and the second most first places.
Akane-banashi also had a really good year, having the third best average ranking and the most first places.
Jujutsu Kaisen had a disappointing year, having the fifteenth best average ranking and no first places.
Ichi the Witch had a great start, with 4 consecutive first places. It lost a bit of steam since then, but it still had the second best average ranking.
Kiyoshi had a really good start, but dropped off in the second half.
Shinobi just barely beat Nue, on the final poll of the year, despite Nue getting first.
And GGG had a great year despite getting axed. Fourth in average rankings, and 8 first places (third most), is an incredible performance for any series, let alone one that got axed halfway through the year.

Something else I noticed is that HxH, Akane, GGG, and Ichi were the only series to not drop below 10th place. Technically, Kagurabachi would join them as well, because the only chapter below tenth place was the extra chapter. Anyways, I'll probably do this again next year as well. I wonder how different this list will be by then.

Poor The Elusive Samurai having a worst average than Roboco is rough lol

Honestly glad am not on it. Detest that kinda thing ever since I unfortunately joined a game forum, glad I left that behind cause oh boy it ain’t pretty when no one can understand an opinion nor learn to sympathize with others. Glad that there’s none of that here.

For sure some tried

My Hero Academia final volume is currently selling better than Jujutsu Kaisen final volumes on Amazon, both digital & physical, in digital MHA is 1st while JJK is 14th & 16th

Obviously i don't expect to be like this on Oricon but still impressive

[monstera11]

MHA handled its ending much better than JJK tbh. But honestly JJK ending is an insanely low bar to compare

Very hype PV, praying for a good studio, imagine all the weapons and suit transformation designs in anime form?

[Phantom RPG]

You know am still waiting to see some of the previous one shots of some of 2024 Jump Giga issues, especially the least one, as I felt they were some good looking ones in that batch in particular. Who knows, we may have another Yuto Suzuki situation in our hands with a one shot having success to the point it becomes a series.

The Nue PV finally break the twitter jail and got uploaded on Youtube.

Can you at least post some context when you post full jp tweets. Thanks, especially since some folks don't see tweets at all.

The problem is too big for a mere epilogue to fix.
