Another example of heavy digital series, this time a case of a action shounen manga instead of a seinen one, SHY from Shonen Champion has 1.6 million copies in circulation with 27 volumes, the thing is that the physical have always been even less than High School Family (last volume did 2k in a full week), and yet circulation is around 59k copies for each volume

So it's not only seinen series who can have a very big gap between physical & digital sales.

If people want to discuss leaked spoilers, I feel like there should just be a separate leak discussion topic for that. Keep them out of here entirely unless it's directly relevant to the ToC itself (like a series ending, or a final chapter countdown). I have zero interest in reading spoilers or reactions to spoilers either (since that makes it possible to guess what happened), I'm here for the ToC talk, and from the looks of it there's quite a few people here who'd agree.

I want to have my own reaction when I read the chapter, not already know what to expect.

Or leakers just have complete shit taste and are unaware of how gold Akane is.
Pretty sure most of the leaks happen because someone buy the leaks from the leakers. Akane fandom probably didn't have any member that willing to buy it.

Yeah, it's funny because you'll have the usual suspects like Kagurabachi, One Piece, Sakamoto Days, etc... series you could probably guess would have at least one fan willing to cough up the $50 fee, and out of nowhere Himaten with somehow the best quality of the four and even more consistent and reliable uploads. Oh and Undead Unluck I guess, last I hear their leaker dropped out because they thought the story was getting so good they didn't want to ruin the final stretch for themselves and others 😭😭 Akane fans are lucky they don't have to put up with the kind of shenanigans that come with leak culture, especially with how good it's supposed to have been lately

damn i'm quite a fan of this and i didn't realize it had pretty good sales (59k probably beating every current jump series bar like 7?) , gotta catch up to s2. i'm surprised it's popularity doesn't get it translated and caught up though, last i checked the manga is still pretty far behind from the current volume.

it's crazy how much discrepancy there is between western attention vs japanese attention for certain series. the jump name really sells a lot for series' that probably wouldn't get much attention otherwise

It doesn’t sell 59K, that’s just how many copies are printed per volume including digital sales. Everything above the 30K stragglers have higher circulations than it. Even Astro does.

Shinuki is just bringing it up to show a lopsided digital share (which no WSJ series has, no not even Nue)

A series being so good that not even leakers want to ruin it is a major flex.

ahh my bad I misunderstood that, still pretty interesting to see how much of a difference digital makes, but I'm probably not too far from in my assessment re: jump brand selling things in a way that doesn't apply to other series, which in this case seems to be physical sales

I love SHY so much, when i started reading i was thinking it would be like MHA, but it’s totally unique

I really love SHY, wish more people would read it, it deserves so much praise

PV on the rococo movie. Turns out it is adapting the multiverse arc.
I’m going to have to find my post but I called it!! The multiverse arc is the perfect arc for the movie! Hopefully they’ll expand on it!

It has been 10,000 days since One Piece began its publication!!! How many days do you think will pass when One Piece ends? I think One Piece will reach at least 13,000 days of publication.

With the series' recent release schedule, how enormous Elbaph is shaping up to be, and there being another most likely massive final arc afterwards (as well as the potential for something else in-between building up to that), One Piece lasting at least until 2030 seems guaranteed at this point.
