Dude, why would Mafia waste their kill on a public Banshee N1? XD
Thats what I meant with self-preservation move.
Is that how it works? I thought your bid gets you your role function not the MHT remaining?
That's the point, you wouldn't kill Banshee, so it's worthless to claim it as vanilla town unless you're going for something else. Is this about your multiple killing parties scenario? Scum trying to scare other scum?
Thats one way. Other way would be for the Evas not game deciding to be seen as confirmation Evas. Basically did the person who everyone agreed on to get Eva X for X MHT or did he said next day he got no EVA confirmation pm meaning someone else bid higher.
I honestly don't follow, what reliable way would there be to confirm the non-game-deciding EVAs? Or even the game-deciding ones aside from 09?
D1: I'm going to bet 3 MHTs on EVA 02, whoever steals it from me is mafia!
D2: I didn't get EVA 02, now we know mafia must have it!
^ Would you simply believe me?
If mafia took EVA 02, how would we find them?
Most important though is that
1) first day lynch holds less punishment due all of us being Vanilla
2) roles can basically be exchanged with the EVAs depending on MHT
3) Mafia has a clear survival bias, meaning low bids or even no bids from them which will make it easier for us to bid on the Evas they would prefer to get, safe for Eva 1 which might get a lot of high bids in, even on the mafia side. That ofc means having plenty of Townie with roles to use but also lower MHT to stay in the game, except ofc the doc one where we rather want to use the doc role than the +3 MHT one, at least in the early game phases.
So in other words if we are communicative day 1 we should spot the people ready to bid medium/high and the ones who rather stay low on information (which makes no sense as we are all vanilla) or would prefer to bid low, like Demon just did, which is one of the reasons I voted for him. Low bids are most likely scum moves as town profits more from higher bids.
Isn't the idea that mafia are going to be careful about betting in direct oppositon to the plan of
telling them outright how much and where everyone is betting?
