I‘m surprised so few town seem to have gotten mechs. Even Demon who „really wanted a killing role“, spent pennies on his bid. I didnt wanna say this D1 but best move for mafia is to just spend a big chunk, 6 or 7, on each mech, and thus deprive town of roles for pretty much the whole game. And maybe they did, which would put some brain person like Vandred as part of mafia.
I can’t understand the optimism, or lack of thought, of people doing low bids of 3 points or so, expecting to live and use a mech for 6+ days. The game is a bit larger than usual, but first 3-4 days are still always the crucial ones. Town generally being a mislynch away from losing on day 4/5.

EVA talk - it‘s a bit long
Imo mafia should‘ve gone for grabs on parry, inquiry, healing, scout and theft, but fortunately they had no day pad so they couldn‘t coordinate. Still, those 5 are very tasty mechs for scum so I made sure to take away Parry.
Parry type is on me, I bid a large chunk so I can milk the protection for a few phases, lose the mech and prostitute mid/endgame on someone would work wonders. Or get my mind healed by healing type mech right before I get booted, but that‘s less likely.
Inquiry type is most likely in mafia hands. Just spend 7 or 8 points and town essentially will never have a Det the whole game, as even if it frees up somewhen later, needing 2 investigations to even determine sanity(and even that‘s unlikely) makes this mech a lost cause if mafia did their homework.
Same applies to scrying type but to a lesser extent, as Spy is gonna be infinitely useful any stage of the game. But mafia with high mind, or lowballer towns bidding pennies, can prevent it from ever reaching town hands.
Democratic type is unpicked. While sickly and noble are super useful for both town and mafia, the risk of eventually dropping down to Freeman/Burden likely means this is best left alone forever?
Healing type is on Sam. Idk how much he bet to get it, but mafia likely has some idea of it, if this was one of the mechs they aimed for.
Revenge was on Lawl, if he was a smart cookie he‘d have bet a lot for Banshee and tag someone he will kill. Remember, his kill happens at the end of this day.So if he did do the play, we will find out alongside today‘s lynch.
Scout is maybe the most underrated and best mech for town by far. Finding an eva and finding the mind score is equal in terms of info, and can find mafia very easily if you have good hunches. Provided mafia has at least some mechs, which they likely do. + the existence of this mech means mafia can‘t easily lie. Like someone finding out Sam‘s score being low means he‘s mafia, just as an example. Since he then lied about going for Doctor. But just an example, I am like 85% leaning on town Sam, because just not talking about having the mech is by far superior to what he did, for a mafia.
Theft type is scary. Smart mafia could forcefully grab any mech they want, nullifying any advantage I had from getting Parry. On second thought, I should‘ve just never said anything. Maybe Demon is asking everyone if they have a mech so he knows from where to steal one. Tatsu claimed having been mind-stolen from. Not sure if that places the mech in town or mafia hands, given Tatsu was decently distrusted D1, but if the stolen mind goes directly to them, they for sure have a mech theft available this night. RIP my mech.
Cult type is very useful for the vanilla game Mason grouping, but given that 2 vocal players(cres and dd) report not getting it, they likely got outbid by a mafia who will have a Jesus shield just in case they are lynched, and if they aren‘t they still prevented town from 2-3 nights worth of mason recruiting.
Key takeaway is we are cooked, next night the theft type owner can yank my mech or Sam‘s. Poor decision making on our parts.
I don't think storming off and refusing to engage with the game is a very good move tbh. It's fair to be a bit frustrated but that's why you should push through and approach other parts of the game with a level head instead of just storming off.
Probably get PMed that you now own the Thief mech, because it‘s more a trade than theft. But if you dont know who traded you it‘s essentially theft because you can‘t get it back.
How high was your bid, and on what mech? I feel like this info could be useful at some point, maybe earlier than later.
Good morning, having coffee now before work and last bit of time for the day to drop thoughts and vote.
VOTEKILL GRY
You can clearly tell he is not town by the words and facts he's twisting on vengence because yesterday's kill was not going according to his plan. Disgusing it in a tunnel for personal reasons, fairly unusual for an analytic player as himself to be so early going on a head canon about some higher schemes or something. In a town Gry game we would be having walls of texts about his reads on all players, yet he's just ever mentioned why I am so bad yadda yadda, disregarding all rational arguments against his case to justify his vote. My take on it is that he doesn't really have a lot of time to play so picks the route that raises the least amount of eyebrows because 'family man'.
Then the whole robot thing flip screams mafia, from yesterday being against any kind of information exchange to being first one to claim on day 2. When seeing that no one in clear mind (but Sam) was following his mass reveal attempt, he's now paddling back 'Oops, we're cooked, sorry Sam uwu'. While Sam indeed is cooked, Gry will have his Parry surival stick to claim why he is not dying at night. Nice try, but nope.
Should have been yesterday the right choice already, but better late than sorry.
I've discussed why I revealed earlier. I feel the parry Eva is more critical to the game due to its blocking function so I wanted to draw focus away from it. Additionally, I felt that being transparent about what I had and how I used it would give town more information to work with this day phase. And yes, trusting Gry and his reads might be a bit risky but I'm used to making bold plays and I'll bet on Gry because from my experience he can be pretty bang on with selection.
Ass an aside, I think your arguments are a bit poor. You're basing a lot of things on "this person was like this in the past" which I think is clouding your general arguments because we've barely played together and a lot of things have changed since those days some years ago.
Honestly, Sam, you’re judging my gameplay based on past games, so my judgment is just as valid as yours.
I don’t think I’m the only one who sees your reveal as a bad move or sus, and I’ve explained my reasoning in my previous post. By revealing the doctor role, you’ve put all your trust in Gry having a blocker role and not the hider.
To me, this feels like a very sacrificial play with limited payoff
Baka - we missed our opportunity to take her out D1, now we must carry her to term. I suggest full ignore until game is won or if there‘s some big reason to lynch like Det result or scout mech results. Otherwise too high potential to mislynch now that mislynching is less comfortable to do.
Bran - weaksauce. Usually I tend to feel green on him relatively early, but his way of claiming/hinting and role openness plays a huge part there. In a vanilla game he‘s indistinguishable from other inactive town/scum.
DD - Some of his posts look more town aligned, such as his „dont buy freeman mech“ on D1. Leaning town.
Demon - sadly I‘m not finding any posts that help read him as town. Don‘t know if he‘s intentionally being as alignment neutral as possible, or not good at coming across to others as town. Not a bad lynch, especially with potential in untangling D1 voting, but still more „open“ to dialogue than most others so I‘d not go there.
Desin - the most notable he did was share he bid on a „support-ish“ type of mech. Otherwise, his posts are all looking like filler, and he gives vibes of a spectator rather than an active participant.
Erin - gave off good town vibes D1, by the way she talked. D2 she‘s in the Bran/desin club of distant laying low folk. Not sure what happened but she‘s not keen on saying much today.
Evil - inconsistent behavior and thoughts, regarding his D1 vote and his unnatural shift on Baka. Doesn‘t sound convinced of his own arguments, lots of flimsy stuff in my exchange with him like for example forgetting last game, and seeing me as scum for seeing him as scum.
Holt - similar issues as Evil but is better at masking it. D1 vote reasoning is lacking, his interactions today not looking confident in the way he‘s arguing.
James - hasn‘t appeared. The main thing to hold against him remains his vote and jump on Demon with not well thought out reasons, and surviving a cointoss(mafia tend to do well statistically there).
Jinx - I prefer ignoring too, I can‘t read her and she often just ends up being scum even when I trust her.
Marm - Not an easy read, felt better with her D1 than D2. Looks like an unbothered spectator, akin to several others.
Misha - on reread, she puts in some effort which is great and possibly a town tell. Still can‘t shake the indian scam email vibes from her posts. Parts of it is the formatting, but the style of speech too. A lot of talking with herself to make points based on flawed grounds such as comparisons to previous games, that are very long ago and she hardly can remember things clear. Pom was compared by people to be similar to her mafia self from just 1 game ago and turned out town, not a useful measuring stick. Unsure if she‘s just a town that fails to see her own thoughts‘ shortcomings, or malicious intent sprinkled into it.
Pigeon - night and day difference from a previous poor showing as town. Either wanting to impress me after I played on his forum, or he puts in a ton more effort as mafia. Initially read him positively D1, but his dialogue with Vand D2 made him look worse.
Sam - high chance he‘s town, absolutely 0 benefits to claim mech as mafia, especially the healing type. Good odds there‘s a second killing party so he‘d be either killing himself directly, or indirectly after he‘s left alive despite being on Doc for too long. All Docs being Insane would suck as it‘d heavily anti-town, but not impossible.
Tatsu - a bit less pleasant to talk to than I remember. A bit on the aggressive/snappy side. Her mafia should be more neutral though, so I‘d lean town. Seemed rather inquisitive and open to sharing, more town qualities.
Van - a charmer. Possible TP like Mentor(who didn‘t pick me..) or scheming mafia, but his thoughts are good and I see no foul play done by him. Lean town.
So to summarize:
Sadly not many greens.
Plenty of black neutrals that I either don‘t wanna touch or need to see more from.
Oranges are mostly like the neutrals, but have one or more things against them that push them into lynchable territory for me. Either a level of activity/contribution that I don‘t believe will change, and otherwise bad vibes or posts that make them look scum.
Leaning red, only Evil it seems.
Game will be hard, vanilla games are already hard enough for town to win here, and the mechs just look like tools mafia have an easier time making use of.
Red is where my vote is at, orange are people I‘d consider locking on to lynch today.
I'm aware this is not addressed to me, but girl you're all over the the place. Your case is building itself. I genuinely get confused reading your posts this day. I think many do
So what is it exactly, is he town or is he mafia in your eyes?
It feels like you're so incredibly focussed with who has voted for you our outed their distrust, it's kind of clouding everything you say. People are allowed to distrust you, it doesn't immediately mean they're scum.
Lets take a deep breath sometimes before posting and maybe practice a bit of mindfulness to clear our heads okay. The hosts have been posting plenty of useful things for that.
so who exactly who voted me did i focus on? i got voted by gry and pom? Today I got voted by DD and I addressed his reasoning, do you see me voting for him? did you see me yday vote for pom or gry?
so ppl are allowed to sus me but I'm not allowed to sus them? Why exactly do you think pom and gry voted me, if not because i was accusing them? Am i not allowed to practice the same behavior? Pom turned up town and yet her reaction was incredibly sus. That alone should show you who i'm playing for.
It's precisely because I realized I was wrong about Gry and Pom yday that i turned and looked at others. And it's precisely because of that why I have not mentioned another word about you and Erin either anymore. If you think that's mafia behavior, take a look also at Gry, who's also arguing left and right and who also doesn't trust anyone.
as for Gry yes I said he's never played like this as town and it's odd, and yet I stepped away. The things I posted at the start of the phase were my night time thoughts. Because they were to be noted and looked back at in later game. If I sused him why didn't i pursue it, and blame his playstyle from yday? Why wouldn't I vote for him. IDK how you all play as mafias but this is not how I play mafia.
So, I'll practice meditation if y'all practice some self reflection.
Why is it that when I do it it's outrageous? Maybe ask yourselves that before you continue judging me based off of the same actions.

Let me try to extract a rationale from your cute post.
1. Claim I‘m twisting things without examples, yet all I‘m doing is holding him to his own rotten standards of voting behavior.
2. You‘ve played in town Gry games where I made walls and you lynched me, you played in mafia Gry games where I made walls and also lynched me. Low effort attempt to frame lack of activity as alignment indicative.
3. Me being open and sharing is a mafia thing. Same thing you said last game, I was playing a great open town that shares thoughts and role first, still got voted and lynched by you because as mafia I would do that. Either incapable of seeing how flawed your thought process is, or just malicious.
You might be right and I've bungled things for us by revealing after you Fuck

Are you even reading what I said? I didn't mention any previous games with you in that post and I only commented on what I'm seeing from you in this game. This just stinks of you replying in bad faith without actually giving a toss for what's being said and strengthens the feeling I get from you that you're barely reading posts in this game which makes any interaction with you awfully surface level.

Yeah idk why she focuses so much on old games to the point she thinks everyone does that. I for one dont remember a single thing about how Misha played, it‘s been years

Agreed, I have no strong recollection of any games I played with her and how she was in those games so I don't think its fair for me to try and evaluate anything other than how she's playing this game.

I gave you examples at the beginning of the day when you ignored the content of your own quote of me to frame me. Am not here to keep researching for you, and it's completely futile as any evidence I provide is a lost effort to get out of that 'tunnel' because you're a mafia man.
I think you wrote the same thing to me somewhen this day and I forgot to respond, but no thats not logical at all. Tell me, how do you think strangers play this game? Or new players in a new forum, with new people?
Very few things are related to how you know a person. For example, some things you notice are habits and can exclude them from your judgement, whereas for someone you dont know that thing would look like a mafia/town tell.
And yes, there is a whole psychology/behavior attached to these social games. Alignment indicative actions and behaviors. Who tunnels on what, who conveniently leaves out certain people or situations from their thoughts and arguments.
And aside from all that, vibes are also a thing yes. Much more meaningful when playing IRL than via text, but people are usually not master liars. They write different when they know they are right, than when they know the person they are talking to is right. Confidence can also be gleaned from behavior and interactions, some are better BS peddlers than others.
i have 2 votes on me, you can vote me back I won't be upset.
but it was a weird bug I deleted that and quoted the next msg to reply and then it reappeared when i pressed reply. So, can't take it back. I don't think you should be lynched at least not today, but meh, i don't decided the lynch there's 16 other ppl.

You didnt give examples, all you did was argue in bad faith while saying I am arguing in bad faith. Just circular BS. The most mafia thing I did was go after you, so you‘re trying to appear strong and town Evil like by attributing me going on you as a mafia move. When I could easily just not do that, or do it in a softer way. So yeah, ignore and dont tell yourself that it‘s a genuine town seeing you as scum and playing as such.

@Evil3ye i quickly skimmed our earlier discussion and found no examples of me misquoting you or otherwise twisting your words.
You're just proving my points that you're not actually reading and engaging with posts, instead just offering surface-level reactions that ring hollow. As I've said before, I've been making my observations purely on how you're acting this game and whether it was your early-game fumbles of not understanding the OP and what it laid out or how you're responding to me and others then it just looks like you're treading water.
There's no point in beating a dead horse. Multiple people, even Gry, have now said I've fucked up. I can't change what's done.
The most I found was at the very beginning when I assumed your problem was that she locked her vote, because all you said was „the lock bothered me“. Which is beside the point of the main problem, where somehow locking vote 2 hours before end of phase on a person that had 1 vote is somehow an offense worth lynching on. Then you kept digging and expanding in other ways such as „i saw a train on Baka forming!“ > which there wasn‘t, and „she was bothering me before“, with like a few regular posts done by 80% others.
And instead of being a regular town who‘d think „yeah maybe I am coming off as not genuine with my thoughts“, you immediately turn to calling me mafia. Unimpressive.
