I theorized a bit above. Most logical reasons are setting up for lategame with vanilla towns with 0 mind, or Tatsu is mafia and lying.

There is every reason to bid low, the longer the game goes on the MHT pool will get lower, either due time passing or due people bidding high, really high. Once you hit 0 getting it back into positive is difficult. It's better to get an Eva with a large MHT pool than with a small one just to eject soonish. Plus the longer the game goes on, more and more pilots will be ejected so having towns with MHT left over will be able to chose while having less competition to go up against.
Top10 reason is probably that if I were Mafia I would have bid high on the det Eva while lying on bidding on another Eva. There is no way I would not have seen the amazing chance to deny Town early det investigation costing "only MHT". Even with me becoming a vanilla Mafia member later on that would still have been mad worth it. Given that Town loses Det role after lvl 4 I would have have bid a 7 or 8 to keep it outta lower bidding Townie hands day 1. Given Baka got it, I am kinda surprised none of mafia did that which means they are either more cautious members disliking taking risks or didn't realized it on their own or did realized it but were not ready to make the call on their own without having talked with their team members before.

I bid* 3 on eva 2 on D1 and won it. I got det with 7 eva. I assume it's sane since it's the highest. Not sure for my second. night eva though.

which is why i left demon alone on D2 and leaving Evil alone on D3. My sanity isn't confirmed though.
Also, the players I don't have an opinion on start to look like hidden mafias watchin all us big mouths argue amongst each other. So idk what to say about Gry and Sam openly claiming their evas D2 start.... there is a chance they're left alive on purpose for misslynch, but I'm hoping mafia isn't that evil

Nothing, time had run out when I came back. I would have bet either low on something I assumed nobody wanted or high on an Eva I assumed Mafia would really wanted on their own, kinda what I expected Mafia to do with det, doc and prostitute Eva day 1 but reversed.
Just 3? Wow, Mafia was really sleeping on that game mechanic. Which means Gry cannot be Mafia he would have likely put keeping Det Eva outta Town hands at higher prio than gaining a Prostitute Eva for Mafia plus he wouldn't walk around with it so openly.

Good words ain't worth shit if you're not in-game to write them though. I try to see I get back online in a few hours but I gotta bounce now. I would consider voting for Evil as that would also help with Baka's sanity. Given its Panda's game and his love for insane dets, there is a good chance both are mafia or one is a traitor but with only one det you would expect a sane one to make it easy for town to guess who is trustworthy and who isn't.
