The fact that Modulo has a set number of chapters (25 to 26 ch) AND the guarantee of no cancellation, totally do wonders for its pacing and story.

A lot of the new manga serialization feels so aimless with bad pacing because the authors do not know if they are gonna be cancelled in the next 5 ch, or if readers like this developments etc.... i really feel that more serialization should have a set no of ch guaranteed or something. Not saying it need to be 50 ch no axe guarantee. Even something like "you do this self contained story that can conclude nicely in 15 ch, but also has potential for continuation if readers like it" will do wonders. A good example will be the first arc of Dandandan (ch 1 to 8). That is an insanely great self contained story with satisfying conclusion. It would have worked as a short story if it ended at ch 8. But the continuation from ch 9 also makes a lot sense and so smooth.

So many axed serializations looks like they are meant for 100 ch series that got abruptly cut

[Franz]

Coming in here to say that modulo has been getting better and better since ch 5 ish. Probably the manga i look forward to the most now.

Meanwhile, i'm starting to feel a bit indifferent on kagurabachi. Chihiro/ samura vs Yura is suppose to be the most hype fight of the series yet somehow i'm just not feeling it but i can't point it out why.

For me Is the contrary

With Modulo in particular I can't get rid of the feeling that they are two originally opposite manga that have been badly fused together.

Man. Remember Gojo and Geto? Not the SAME thing, but you get what I mean. Two brothers wanting to protect their siblings at all costs, even if it means losing any possibilitybof coexistence. Neither side is good or evil, just a product of cultural differences and dumb mistakes.

But without the aliens

But Shonen Jump has been like this since forever, if anything they're waaay nicer today with newbies than they have ever been pre 2020's, so in the end all the manga you, me and everybody else praises were published under the exact same circunstances.

Sakamoto Days live-action movie teaser trailer. Film release is on April 29, 2026.

It looks good overall but there's something off with the fat suit, i dont know exactly what it is, maybe the face is too fat, which for a manga/anime looks totally fine but in live action looks unnatural.

Yeah as expected, they don't really have any reason to reanimate the whole series when S2 & S3 seems perfectly fine, it's the 1st season that has the animation quality & pacing problems.

But anyway, who could imagine that World Trigger would turn into a franchise big & important enough to even get a anime remake, series like Twin Star Exorcists are the exactly kind of series that needs a treatment like this, in this case with Pierrot.

[Nuesmoker]

Ok, Nue gushing incoming:

The worldbuilding that Kota has done for the series is genuinely so fucking good and I detest how seemingly nobody talks about it. For every series of silly, stupid moments, shenanigans and slices of ecchi, there is a reminder each arc that the world Gakuro and everyone else lives in is built on a dark, brutal foundation. Kota's making sure to clue us in, little by little, on the Millenia of tragedies that got us to this point, and every time he does our whole perspective on the story just SHIFTS.

Gekka's transformation, Raisei's love, and how Gakuro is slotted to be next in the line of Nue's contractors' suffering. Raisei says it himself "You'll realize she's charmed you too someday, and then you'll walk the same path that I did.". Add Gakuro's inner monologues and everything hints at him continuing this tragedy in some way.

The perspective shift isn't just regarding these figures: Kabane's visual annoyance at Gakuro leading up to the Fujino Estate fight revealing his true feelings regarding him, literally last arc, Suzaku's burning pain and how family was the only thing keeping her somewhat sane and mentally alive, recontextualizing all of her actions as well as Ishu's determination to kill her.

And the foreshadowing, oh my lord Kota is a master at it. Raisei and Soranaki both were hinted at us in CHAPTER 2. Nue explicitly says she lost a friend over a handicap she gave herself, and actively distanced herself from Gakuro's assumption of her just wanting to protect human recreation- And guess what, Soranaki is the one who ONLY cares about the energy of human entertainment. She didn't want to be compared to him. All the mysteries regarding Takuro, the Village and the Impure Children, why Ishu met Gakuro, and I'm not even touching all the tiniest details because that would take FOREVER.

I love this series to death!!

Gintoki transcends movie bias

[Lord Anubis]

I truly believe in Tomokazu Sugita supremacy

[Nuesmoker]

I really should resume Gintama lol

[Shockzz1234]

I still need to START Gintama, let alone resume it. It's the only big WSJ series i'm missing, I think lol.

(Actually that's part of the reason i don't wanna watch/read it - because then i'll have no long/legendary WSJ series left lol. The other part is just laziness.)

[Phantom RPG]

Since the toc is coming soon, my bet is that we get a one piece lead color page alongside color pages for the likes of Himaten, Ultimate Exorcist kiyoshi, or a one shot.

If not one piece then Kagurabachi gets the lead cover page.

[Shinuki no Reborn]

Predictions:

-One Piece will get the lead color pages next issue and cover will be obviously for the Jump heroes

-Color pages will be Blue Box, Hima-Ten! and Someone Hertz

-Gonron Egg 1st ranking will be in the bottom 3

-Bottom will be: Otr of the Flame, Harukaze Mound, Gonron Egg, The Elusive Samurai and Hima-Ten! (Watch Nue be in last place lol)

-Top 5 will be: Ichi the Witch, Sakamoto Days, Someone Hertz, Witch Watch and Shinobi Undercover
