WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP THREAD RULES​

#5. Don't post news about series from other magazine or publishers in the WSJ thread, post in the series own thread, but it's fine if you're mentioning other series or magazine to express a opinion or reflection about Shonen Jump.
#6. Any tweet, specially japanese, about news, update or some interesting thing about the magazine or series has to come with a text of what that tweet means and also be on topic, if not it's going to be either deleted or i will edit the post.
#7. Refrain from self advertising or advertising Youtubers videos in the comments.
#8. Constant fanart posts just for the sake of praising a favorite series is prohibited, this rule doesn't apply for official art by Jump artists posted on social media, they're fine to post.
#9. Don't discuss or hype chapter spoilers before Sunday release, only comment if is related to a series surviving status and do it only inside the spoiler tag.
#10. Regarding rule #9, an exception will be made for when we have new series, in this case, spoilers will be allowed only for the first 3 chapters of a new series for the users who are interested in knowing informations and details about the new series, these spoilers will obviously be kept under tags to protect anyone that doesn't want to be spoiled, so don't worry about it.

Just heard on the other place that 5ch SJ thread is shutting down and due to that we might stop getting toc info, will we really? I don’t know if it’s permanent or not but still

No because we don't get anything from 5ch besides maybe some minor spoiler from Hima-Ten or Blue Box leaker, actually 5ch has gotten the ToC and color pages from me for a while already And when they don't get the ToC & next issue info from me they get from Ryokutya.

Btw, 5ch is shutting down? and what is "the other place"?

I read the One Piece Wiki to find the name of a Devil Fruit and looked up other Devil Fruits and got spoiled on some things. I also got spoiled by a couple of things from Google Gemini,

Should I just keep going?

I mean the spoilers for me are what motivated me to catch up faster, but that was also in the middle of an arc before some of the big lore drops started happening and I was only 50 chapters behind at the time. I’ve been thoroughly spoiled on JJK and am still watching that as it gets animated though, so I see nothing stopping you from continuing.

But yeah, any form of wiki scrolling on a series you’re halfway deep in is a ripe garden of spoilers waiting to reveal themselves to you, so always be navigating those places with caution.

Dude…the number one rule when you’re behind on something is NEVER to look up anything! Not wikis, not search engines, especially the ones that fill in what you’re looking for! You’re just asking to get spoiled!

Since this is related to the survival of a series, in this case Gonron Egg, its allowed, so i checked the chapter and yeah i don't see it ending next week but definitely ending in like 3 at best (counting with this week) unless Jump really rushes it, final boss fight with mc starts in the next week chapter, final boss turn into her complete forms of big sexy mommy and in the final page she finds the mc and crushes the egg lol

Btw, Tanizaki surely knows his priorities when it comes to the art

Saito testing Daiki Ihara, Suganuma Tatsuya and Kobayashi Omusuke for comedy is so bizarre, they all mega bombed. Why can't we get authors that actually lasted a bit like Kamiki Kei or Kuroki Yuushin instead?

Kamiki Kei is very likely returning this year, it's been 4 years since Magu-chan ended and it wasn't even a hit, it's about time.

And about Yuushin, don't expect him to return with a gag, his art has become way too good to be wasted in a gag/comedy series and if his Twitter acc says anything he will return with a ecchi or romcom.

I didn't say if he return it's going to be a fail but if he does by just doing another Nice Prison attempt, his thing is 4-koma, pretty nonsensical ones, it's what people want from him, and he is actually good on doing this, not a full series like Nice Prison.

Btw, Shadow Eliminators wasn't abomination, it was just a pretty generic exorcist series, even sold 6.6k in 2 weeks so isn't like the guy did one of the worst things ever on Jump lol

I think it's a byproduct of both Jump potentially having an artist like Hayashi ready to serialize soon (since he was in Giga and Jump+) and also that they kinda do need a new gag manga, especially if Roboco is ending within a year

Made the mistake last year of retweeting a single piece of fanart for a series I was behind on and come the week after I'd been spoiled on essentially every late game twist by virtue of the Twitter algorithm I have since learned the power of banning search terms
