#6. Any tweet, specially japanese, about news, update or some interesting thing about the magazine or series has to come with a text of what that tweet means and also be on topic, if not it's going to be either deleted or i will edit the post.
#7. Refrain from self advertising or advertising Youtubers videos in the comments.
#8. Constant fanart posts just for the sake of praising a favorite series is prohibited, this rule doesn't apply for official art by Jump artists posted on social media, they're fine to post.
#9. Don't discuss or hype chapter spoilers before Sunday release, only comment if is related to a series surviving status and do it only inside the spoiler tag.
#10. Regarding rule #9, an exception will be made for when we have new series, in this case, spoilers will be allowed only for the first 3 chapters of a new series for the users who are interested in knowing informations and details about the new series, these spoilers will obviously be kept under tags to protect anyone that doesn't want to be spoiled, so don't worry about it.

Anime is pretty much needed nowadays. People don't read magazines as much nowadays in Japan so a hit anime is probably the only thing that can turn a new manga into a 'mega hit'. Feels like the peak of a pre-anime manga these days is like 300K copies in a month

A big leap forward isn't guaranteed either. We were expecting something like that from UU and it didn't happen, even though the anime has high production quality.

UU’s anime failed because tozuka’s art and designs aren’t universally liked (i happen to really like it though). Kiyoshi’s art is much more universally appealing with a very impressive MC design (don’t know how he draws a MC with all those tattoos and piercings; seems so stressful when guys like Toriyama would get frustrated with standard inking of hair).

Cause this shit is extremely popular. I thought sales would go down in vol 10 without people massbuying them for popularity poll. It somehow beats vol 9.

It's selling physical at the same rate as kny and jjk in an era where digital sales are bigger than ever before. I would love to know the combined sales for each volume.

And if the leaks is true that Cypics / Takeuchi is directing. Oh boy.

I am not here to mess with anybody's impressions about anything, but ever since ChainSaw Man got nothing of boost from the anime and was selling more than 400K per month physical by the last volumes, I really don't see any JJK boost anymore. Kagurabachi will be really lucky if it reaches 350K sale a month.

And to be honest, not everything has to have the biggest boost that has ever happened. If Kagurabachi doesn’t get a gigantic boost, it will be okay. It doesn’t need to be anywhere near JJK or whatever. It will be fine if it reaches 250K a month.

Anime doesn't guarantee manga success; Undead Unluck had an anime adaptation, but that didn't increase sales. The same goes for Yozakura.

Chainsaw Man def got a boost from the anime. It just didn't hit Demon Slayer or Jujutsu Kaisen type sales which is what a lot of the expectations were. But Kagurabachi selling over 300k just physically after an anime would be great in today's market. That would be JJK Modulo numbers. Only a handful of manga does more than that anymore

You can laugh at me if it turns out to be an ordinary boost.

Man, some folks really yearn that Under Doctor and Kinato's magic to be axed that is want am seeing in some of the previous pages, Jesus Christ. Also some of you folks are incredibly pessimistic, ain't calling names but jeez, can like we relax? Any new batch is likely going to be at the bottom, jump has no cushions left and if a series does not meet an overall expectation then well it sucks. Also I expect next week's TOC to be a tad more telling. Although cannot wait for who incredibly down in the dumps some of the future posts are going to be like, yay! Everyone wants to heard it constantly. Like it did in some of the previous days. It wasn't annoying to see it constantly at all.

There's pessimism and there's blind optimism. I think calling the funeral on Under Doctor is pessimism. It got a color page, this is pretty much the worst chapters so it's probably going to rank better. Saying Kinato is in any position to succeed is blind optimism. It's my fav of the batch and I'd have it survive over series that are even surviving in the magazine. But there's been nothing but online talk which means nothing either way to say it's actually any form of surviving

Idk if anybody here WANTS any of the series to be axed, wasn't my interpretation at least, but I think most people are just confused as to the situation. Sure, something has to be at the bottom obviously, but it's the fact that all three of the new series have to be at the bottom? We know the TOC isn't just reflective of a number of survey votes as series like Shinobi would never be higher than like Blue Box. Like if anything, you would have expected Kinato and Alien in the bottom 5 but UD in the middle but nope, that's even in the bottom 3

And in the end...it's a forum. Outside of people like Shinuki who have actual updates and need to share, most people here are going to just...react and talk. Suffice to say the low popularity so far of what was a very liked round is going to make people talk. I sympathize with the sentiment these series COULD climb up but then it goes back to, what 3-5 series would be in the bottom that aren't currently? Maybe Nue but Kyoshi was 4th and heaven knows Shinobi would never be put down there. So, better placements next TOC feels more unrealistic than people here presuming this batch is already signaled for dead. And yeah, series like Kinato wouldn't show signs of an axe yet most likely cause we're at least ~10 chapters away from the next round. Not even sure of authors have gotten the word from editorial yet even if editorial has made up their minds
