Based on the recent chapter it looks like Nova is the ability to amp his demon and goddess magic, later one combines it into one.

It's just Enchantment magic

No, he is Human-Fairy. If he could heal we would have known it already. The LotL is the lake itself, she is different.
I mean, he was never injured throughout the serie, so we never really had the chance to know if he can or not.

Idk why but i can't help but feeling like he will be able to regen himself and it'll be revealed to work like Hakari's infinite reverse curse technique while using Jackpot (from jjk). Knowing Nakaba it's not impossible.

While he may have infinite endurance, i dont think he could hold himself against Arthur when he'll use reality warping if he isn't able to regen.

But he never healed people either. I don't think Healing type Magic is part of Hazy Moon.

" Lancelot's hazy moon is not a healing type magic. But, the Infinite magical energy overflowing in Lancelot's body caused his body to reflexively perform regeneration in order to avoid damage. In other words when Lancelot fully use the lake's magic, he's effectively immortal”. :XD

No, I don't think he'll ever have healing unless... what I said about he learning the Goddess Transformation Pattern ends up being true.

We saw Lancelot and Tristan's kids but we still know nothing about their Innate Magics... Without the fanbook we wouldn't even know their names :twitch.

At this point hazy moon looks like like a flow of energy that lancelot has almost mage like control over. Something relatively simple compared to the hype behind it and it's claim of being a hero type. The whole thing has been hyped for so long and that the only expectation I have is disappointment. It's rare for something that is built and hyped up for years to actually live up to the expectations. For the amount of time nakaba has been building this up I'd expect an awesome magic power on par with king's disaster in terms of depth, awesomeness and utility and for it to neatly explain most of the things we have seen lancelot do but as I said, that's an impossible amount of hype to live up to.

No idea about nova. Has it been used at all and I forgot? The name makes me think tristan will merge darkness and light and cause a comically large release of power but that's just vibes, not even an educated guess.

Well, Lancelot was able to absorb the lake because of his Innate Magic in the first place.

Most of Tristan's techniques have star/sky themed names. He is definitely using it but we don't know what it does exactly.

In light of some of the relatively recent reveals I've started to entertain the possibility that Lancelot's Hazy Moon might fit the same template as Percival's Hope, perhaps due to both of them being hero-type. By that I mean that both of them appear to possess somewhat generic energy manipulation but with the addition of a unique twist. In Percival's case this is his hope empowerment gimmick that enables him to tap into his allies' emotions to buff himself, a very fitting power for the MC given how it grows stronger the more people he befriends over the course of the story. If Lancelot's magic were to include a twist of its own then its special property would likely be related to power output.

During the lake flashback we saw Lancelot fire a Shining Road at the Lady of the Lake, which depleted his magic reserves in one hit. This is very unusual since characters typically aren't able to channel their full magic reserves into a single attack, especially one that requires no preparation of any kind. You could maybe compare this to the limit that exists with something like electrical transmission, i.e. the thing that makes it so that charging your phone might take a couple of hours instead of a couple of seconds. It's just not feasible to transfer that much energy into the battery in such a short time. Similarly, even if someone like Escanor had enough total energy to create a hundred Cruel Suns in total, he'd still be limited to making them one by one instead of all at once.

I'm thinking that Hazy Moon's gimmick might allow Lancelot to bypass any such restrictions and simply pump as much energy as he wants into his attacks without the need to slowly charge them up. This would make the LotL's remark about how Shining Road will one day become stronger than the Sins' Nemesis combo quite a bit more reasonable, because it's not that hard to believe that Lancelot using up all of his magic reserves in one go could produce something more powerful that the total of the Sins' individual attacks that were used to form Nemesis, including the Full Counters that were used to boost it further. It's also easy to see why such a massive amount of power being channeled through an object practically in an instant would cause even ST-grade weapons to break from the strain, in a manner not too dissimilar to how an electrical wire can only withstand a certain level of current before the heat begins to damage it. Lancelot essentially needs an ST that has very high "magic capacity" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ampacity).

Aside from the appropriate weapon the other drawback is that using up all of his magic reserves in one go leaves Lancelot drained and barely able to even stand. This is an issue that was solved by him absorbing the LotL and her infinite magic reserves. Once he obtains an ST as well he should presumably be able to fire off Nemesis-level attacks at no cost to himself, which is a completely broken combination of abilities. It is for this reason that I expect Nakaba to give him the Ban treatment. If Ban had been allowed to retain his immortality after his Purgatory boost he would have become borderline unkillable since what little damage enemies could inflict on him would just instantly regenerate, in fact it would have also made him immune to Cath's time magic and presumably allowed him to solo the cat without needing the other Sins' help. That's why the first thing he did after returning from Purgatory was to give up the power of the Fountain of Youth. Nakaba simply couldn't have someone that overpowered as part of the main cast even in the endgame. Lancelot is very much following in his father's footsteps in this regard so we'll see how Nakaba decides to handle his case.

A relevant side question here is Lancelot's magic absorption. Some people believe this to be part of Hazy Moon but I'm more inclined to believe it comes from the LotL. We've seen the absorption be likened to water on multiple occasions now, which is a pretty obvious nod to the lake's power to absorb magic that was already established back in NnT. Nanashi even seemed to recognize the power upon seeing it, something that only makes sense if he had already seen or at least heard of it before. It would also be a strange coincidence for Lancelot to randomly end up with two identical abilities. Based on all of this I lean toward the idea that the magic absorption has to do with the LotL, though I will note that Hazy Moon being built around both emitting and absorbing magic would parallel the way Snatch can be used to both steal and give power so there could be something to gain from that option as well.

On a somewhat related note, I've seen claims that Hazy Moon is what allowed Lancelot to absorb the LotL and her infinite magic, but I don't believe that this is actually supported by anything in the manga. To begin with, there's nothing unusual about absorbing the lake's power given that we saw Jericho do it as well. The thing that made Lancelot special was not his ability to drink the water, but the fact that he was able to remain sane while doing so. This would suggest that it was a matter of mental strength, which is reinforced by the narration when Lancelot eventually decides to drink the entire lake:
Everything here points to Lancelot achieving his impossible feat due to his strong resolve rather than because he was simply born with the right magic. The parallel to Ban's Purgatory adventure is very relevant here considering how that too required incredible mental fortitude. It's what kept him from losing his sense of self and permanently remaining as the fox monster that he spent decades or centuries transformed into. His determination came from his love for Elaine and his bond with Meliodas, which should sound familiar. Like father like son. Also note that from a writing point of view it's pretty much always better for a hero's accomplishments to be the product of his efforts rather than mere blind luck.

As for Tristan, I'm sticking with my initial theory of Nova being a buff magic similar to Merlin's Infinity that is intended to be used alongside other techniques or spells rather than something standalone like Hope or Hazy Moon. Based on Heal Nova seemingly just being an extremely potent healing technique this idea seems to still be in the cards. It's less impressive than Percival and Lancelot's fancy hero-type magics, but it's important to keep in mind that Tristan has not one but two racial powers in addition to a fusion of both. That stuff adds so much to his arsenal that it's no surprise his innate magic would be made a little weaker to compensate, lest he become too overpowered. The Nephilim thing also seems to be the aspect that Nakaba wants to focus on the most when it comes to Tristan's abilities.

Gawain is not the topic of this thread but I'm actually more curious about her Dawn than either Hazy Moon or Nova. The reason why is because it currently just comes across as slightly different version of Sunshine. A rehash of an existing magic pales in comparison to the brand new and very distinct magics of the other KotA, which gives me the impression that there's more to Dawn that what meets the eye. An idea I really like has to do with its name. Dawn is when the light of the sun has only just begun to appear, which could imply that the magic is currently only in its infancy and will undergo further evolution in order to reach its full potential. This is in line with the new information we were given about magic abilities in this series:
Percival's magic seems to just be powering up over time and the same is likely the case for Lancelot and Tristan as well given that there would be no reason to refrain from properly revealing their magics for this long if they were going to turn into something different in the future. This leads me to believe that Gawain's magic could be the only one among the KotA which falls under the transformation category. The sun rises at dawn and peaks at noon so it would only be fitting for Dawn to eventually become Noon and develop strange new attributes, just like how Anne's magic went from allowing her to see lies to punishing liars with gravity.

Also, with how important of a character Galahad is likely going to be I sure hope Nakaba doesn't decide to keep his magic a secret for ages as well.

I disagree. Heroic qualities matter but you still need more than that. Lancelot was the one panicking, despairing and being a scaredy cat there. He does have an unique, Hero Type Magic. The LotL was intrigued by his ability to stay sane and the first hint I believe was his ability to resist his father's ale in the one shot.

Yes but I still think there is more to this. And if it's that simple, the fact that it's not been explained makes it even more annoying.

What do you think Hazy Moon and Nova is?

I didn't want to derail my earlier post any further so I neglected to mention this, but I'm quite disappointed in how Nakaba has handled Lancelot's abilities overall, and I'm not even referring to Hazy Moon being kept a secret for so long. Rather, my issue is with how Nakaba largely ignores most of the tricks Lancelot has up his sleeve. Take for example his defining trait in the initial prophecy, that being his lack of a fixed form. We know that he can transform mid-battle to evade attacks and that he's able to replicate the racial abilities of the other races to some extent. His adaptability seems to even extend beyond just the physical and magical aspects judging by that time we saw him copy the fighting styles and personalities of some of Percival's enemies during training.

This single ability to switch between different shapes and weapons on the fly offers more options in combat than Anne and Donny's magics combined, and yet Lancelot barely even bothers to make use of it. Why? Because it's way easier to just fire off a Shining Road or to do some magic absorption attack and call it a day. This overreliance on the same moves is also why he still hasn't revealed all the other things Hazy Moon can do. It's very strange to see a character with such an impressively wide arsenal of abilities and who is, on paper at least, the most versatile warrior in the series to end up having such a monotonous fighting style. Nakaba has already shown us these abilities so why not make more use of them instead of limiting them to one time only? I'm hoping that Lancelot obtaining his ST soon will finally rectify this problem.

What about the moon of the eighteen?
That's probably just part of the celestial theme of the Rising Impact trio; moon for Lancelot, stars for Tristan and sun for Gawain. The theme is present not just in their innate magics but also in individual techniques, hence why like half of Tristan's named techniques have 'star' in their name. Before we saw Nova in action for the first time I assumed that Tristan was frequently using it with his other attacks without explicitly mentioning it, as this would have explained both the names of the attacks as well as the star visuals that often accompanied them. However, with the very clear difference between Healing Star and Healing Nova it seems like this assumption was mistaken, meaning that Healing Star is called that not because of the involvement of Nova but simply because Tristan has a general star theme going on. Lancelot's Moon of Eighteen can be explained with the same logic.

If there was something more than the heroic qualities involved in Lancelot consuming the lake then wouldn't it have been mentioned during that scene? Nakaba could have simply not said anything at all if he wanted to keep the explanation a secret for whatever reason, but instead he made the deliberate choice to have the narrator elaborate on how Lancelot managed to do the impossible.

I think you're focusing on the wrong things when it comes to the mental aspects. If we look at the two characters who went crazy due to drinking the lake's water the common pattern seems to be about it essentially corrupting them, which is exactly what power tends to do to people. The nameless knight ended up killing his own allies so that he could claim the lake all to himself while Jericho developed an unhealthy obsession with protecting Lancelot. This suggests that withstanding the lake's influence is not about bravery like what you're highlighting, but rather about having the ability to resist temptation. We see this with how Jericho was drinking excessive amounts of the lake's water in order to get stronger, whereas Lancelot only drank what he needed to sustain himself and focused on growing his strength though his own efforts by spending his time training. Even when he ultimately threw himself into the lake and consumed the entire thing the narrator specifically described it as an act of self-sacrifice, which is something virtuous and basically the opposite of being corrupted by power. It might not be a coincidence that this purity of heart is something Lancelot shares with Percival, the only other confirmed owner of hero-type magic. I wonder if the latter would have also been able to drink from the lake without being corrupted?

As for Lancelot's ability to handle alcohol, I would find it a little silly if that had something to do with him being immune to the lake's maddening effect. To me the alcohol thing seems like it could be related to his unusual physical abilities. Even as a child in the one-shot he was able to lift a rock many times his size and shatter another one with a spear made from a tree branch. This is quite strange given that Ban was just a normal boy as a kid, to the point that a random woman was able to trap him inside a barrel simply by sitting on the lid. Elaine isn't exactly known for her physical strength either, so where did Lancelot get his strength from and is it connected to his speed and durability as well? Maybe something related to Ban's Purgatory training and/or the Fountain of Youth, or perhaps even Nakaba remixing the concept of Hyperion Constitution from Kongo Bancho? Elaine does look a lot like Gouriki Banchou and there are plenty of other references to Nakaba's previous works in this series, including in the form of Lancelot himself along with his Shining Road. The chapter in which Lancelot dunked on Cath was even titled Hyperion, though I suppose that could have also just been Nakaba glazing Lancelot some more.

Yes but I still think there is more to this. And if it's that simple, the fact that it's not been explained makes it even more annoying.
An ability being simple has very little to do with how long it takes to explain it. It took Nakaba 200-something chapters to finally get around to showing us Gideon's special trait for the first time even though it was a very basic one. The reason why he delays these things is because the stories he writes are very long and there are only so many different powers you can give the heroes before things become overwhelming, which means he has to basically ration the big reveals to make the most out of them. This is why he gave us Tristan's goddess and demon powers in the Liones arc, Annihilation and Full Counter in the Demon Realm arc, and most recently the first instance of Nova in the Annwfyn arc. Would you have enjoyed things more if Tristan had used all of those in the Liones arc and then not shown us anything new ever since?

Tristan's ability Nova seems related to the gacha game with its relation to the book of stars , Tristan himself being a nephilim , a being with powers of light/darkness just like Chaos , gives him certain ability over reality and space-time , he's like a glitch in the world because unlike Arthur , he's not an avatar of Chaos , these powers are his own and he's the first of his kind , therefore he's very important with all the multiverse stuff going on in the game.

Lancelot's Hazy Moon has been stated to be the strongest power by the lady of the lake , which means even stronger than Meliodas's true Magic or the demon king's ruler.

It has shown to be the ability to absorb , we've seen it absorb the ability magic most of the time , like when he absorbed the lake or when he absorbed magical attacks thrown at him.

But we've also seen it absorb physical attacks like Pellegarde's Chariot Collapse which is strange because if he can absorb magical and physical attacks then that makes him invincible.

There's another thing about Hazy Moon which seems weird , apparently when Lancelot was a child , he drank a lot of alcohol but it didn't affect him at all while his dad was drunk as hell.

I don't think Lancelot can absorb physical attacks. He probably used Magic on his sword to stop the attack itself.

I do believe that Lancelot not being drunk is related to his Magic and not simply alcohol tolerance.

But Isn't Pellegarde's attack physical ? , And yet it was absorbed as well like all the four evils' attacks as was stated by Gawain.

However , it's still hard to believe , if he absorbs physical and magical then doesn't that make him invincible ? , why would Nakaba create an invincible character ?

Tbh lancelots power really looks like it is to do whatever random bs the plot needs. There's some hope that nova is something interesting.
