It's been a pleasure to join you all through the end of the spin-off; I hope we'll see each other again when TOG returns.
Not to rain on your agenda but that was 100% his way of saying "I don't like this but I'll do it" as far as I can read his character.Pretty sure it was the opposite there, he said if they both become his subordinates he's gonna consider it.
Did we read different chapters bro?
He still gives zero fucks about them or their threat.
Urek's character is someone who will not solve the Tower's issues or threats even though everybody pretty much begs him to, so he definitely meant it when he said he wasn't interested in their issues unless they both agreed to his terms. Not to rain on your agenda but that was 100% his way of saying "I don't like this but I'll do it" as far as I can read his character.
I do think he thinks it'd be a bother if they came after his new friend.
E: To be fair, very easy thing to say with hindsight-ish knowledge of dubious canon we have of Baek Ryun in the current timeline.
Maybe you're right.Urek's character is someone who will not solve the Tower's issues or threats even though everybody pretty much begs him to, so he definitely meant it when he said he wasn't interested in their issues unless they both agreed to his terms.
If they came for Baek he'd simply kill them, that was his promise to Baek and the crux of their conversation in the issue of his powers.
Urek does have a deal with the Family Heads, but that deal involves the presence of Gustang later on to confirm whatever it was, but helping them clean up their trash is not something he's doing at all even now in the mainline.
The important ones are and will be fine which is basically okay with me, only Rohan pissed me off really bad so I agree.Maybe you're right.
I'm currently seeing him as a guy who wants to be like that but for now, can't exactly deliver. He doesn't have a good track record of keeping his friends alive is what I'm saying.
Don't get me wrong, he's THE strongest. But he can't do it alone.
Do we think that Urek's main goal is still chasing Phantaminum to this day btw?
No. Urek really hates fate. He knows the universe is an uncaring, unfeeling place. So the idea that anyone is fated for anything is ridiculous in his eyes. He even said his fellow shinies are just dust in the universe. So that bit when urek said he'd kill whoever gives baek a fate... Do we interpret that as urek being willing to kill an axis over baek?
That's right, Turtle—the snake is referring to his closest allies in Zahard (whether they're high-ranking officers in his army or other friends who support him, like Traumerei, etc.)"They cannot be compared to King Zahard's forces"
Is he saying Shining ones cannot be compared to his army? That would be stupid
@Shiinhye1 I am very sorry to disturb u but Could u check if it's a translation issue? Are they referring to something else?
I brought that up because it touches into the meta-meta plot. Back with the original blog post siu said everything in the story was set by fate. Meanwhile axis of various tiers exist. And the strongest ones work as authors to stories over which they rule unchallenged. And on top of that theoretically only an axis could challenge another with an implication that they can punch down but not up. And then we get to the tog story where shining ones speak of a new axes being born and urek addresses the towers axis (whether it responds or not is a different issue). With all this background and what is going on in the chapter... it makes a ton of sense urek would be referring to an axis. Naturally if there is an axis in the tower it's entirely possible it's setting the fates of different characters in it. Meanwhile urek goes around stealing npcs.No. Urek really hates fate. He probably means he would kill who ever shackles him from his will.
not everything is related to this new shiny word everyone adores to use for power scaling.
I don't think SIU ever confirmed that fate is a thing or not? Though in the story it's implied that it does in general with the way things go for Baam, there is a conflict about it in the FoD arc where Rachel declares that she doesn't believe in it and there is Hwa Ryun who clings to it. Baam himself never says what he thinks about it but he is a "fight against your fate" believer.I brought that up because it touches into the meta-meta plot. Enne uses Nameless's body; Arlene uses Enne's body. Who says no?Imagine being Enne having two irregular parents and still being less relevant than a girl thrown in a pond.

The rift has things which can challenge Zahard's rule (it has beings from spoils of war which were on V's side)As far as the whole rift thing goes, I wonder what it is in the first place. It’s something even V needs opened in the current timeline. Sounds like something far more expansive than even the entire tower if it’s a threat to the entire world. I like it.

Enne is sealed, yes, but who knows what Zahard did to her after FHs and Gustang turned their back from the cave.Nah, I don't think Zahard got over Arlen. A new body for Enne makes even less sense since she is sealed somewhere and is a Zahard Princess already. She isn't out of reach.
Or maybe, Zahard did not create or made Dorothy a princess. Snake says "our Dorothy", and Snake doesn't seem to like Zahard very much. But I have no idea how Snake would have some Zahard blood at his disposal to do the trick though. It's not because of Mago that Zahard could have changed his mind though, since Garam was waiting for centuries to kill her.... unless Zahard can see the future.Glad to see someone remembers that and follows the story itself
Its either zahard had made mistake and now he wants to get rid off that princess cuz mago is inside of her and had seen something bad will happen because of her
or could be the case that zahard had been betrayed by his own subordinates after all Ari ranker had said that those guys are all over the place
If Zahard has feelings for Enne he could simply marry her and a lot of issues would be solved. He had no reason to let her get cursed either.Enne is sealed, yes, but who knows what Zahard did to her after FHs and Gustang turned their back from the cave.
Not beyond him to kill her and extract her soul and trap it in there. He's also very well versed with spells. I am just saying at this point we cannot rule this possibility out.
Zahard not moving on from Arlene is different to obsessing over someone or multiple people because of different factors/reasons/features.
Yes, since they would be Shinies or hybrids. Now that I think about it, what if Urek produces children ? Could they inherit his power of Light ?
Siu talked a little about fate in blog posts and more about axis and their role as authors. In context, an axis taking control of a story means he is essentially writing it. And characters in it do what axis predetermine.I don't think SIU ever confirmed that fate is a thing or not? I will check later but aren't you confusing fate with "records"? I think it was more about their reality warping powers?Siu talked a little about fate in blog posts and more about axis and their role as authors. From a purely physical standpoint, Nameless's body could well be superior to Arlene. Baam didn't inherit any exceptional physical abilities from them so they likely didn't have any.Forgot to reply since I was busy but @kkck @Epic_Rider Arlen is an Irregular so she being in Nameless's body would be a nerf. Nameless's body isn't superior to Arlen, it's her ability to host her soul that makes her stand out.
