Not to argue on the other stuff but Kagurabachi is smaller on the cover because it's not in the issue lol.
The covers are planned more than a week before and sudden break means they only learned this week Bachi wouldn't be in the issue. Maybe they could resize it, but I'm not sure they did that.

I swear they've done this before but I can't remember the issue cause it was a while ago, I think it was either Dr Stone or Black Clover? I can dig.

EDIT: found the one I was thinking of, it's 2020 issue 6-7. Dr. Stone was absent and is placed in the back of the crowd. That being said Senku isn't smaller than he is in the 4-5 cover, so this might be speculation from this thread 6 years ago that I'm remembering.

Doggie Dog World is frying me. That's a horrible name.

Out of all of these I'm most interested in Banchoism tbh. It's been a while since WSJ had a delinquent type series, although there's no guarantee that this is what would get published if it won, right?

Cursed Case's characters look the best to me in terms of design, but eh, I have enough fill of supernatural stuff in WSJ right now with Roku and Graykeith.

Banchoism > Cursed Case > Doggie Dog World lmao, that's my order right now off first looks.

Wow three action series. Guess they must be starting to get a bit desperate

Maybe it's the fact that my tastes have greatly expanded since the last GFC but the top and bottom entries look more interesting than really any of the previous ones (or maybe i'm just a sucker for tanned women) (both that and the other one which could potentially be a spiritual successor to Beelzebub)

Only 3 for a golden future cup? How many years till we see any of them this time?

Also, is it just me or is that Kagurabachi art actually an edited version of a previous artwork and that's why it's smaller?

What was the point of bringing the GFC back? There's only 3 and they all sound completely bland. They might as well just ran as regular one shots, that way the authors at least have a shot of getting published in under five years.

Ahhh Nue selling 1k higher than vol 14 :hee

37. Nue's Exorcist #14 (8,035) - 3 days
19. Nue's Exorcist #16 (9,061) - 3 days

Yikes, what happened with Kagurabachi?

Kagurabachi #7 (55,925) - 3 days
Kagurabachi #8 (52,315) - 3 days
Kagurabachi #9 (64,508) - 3 days
Kagurabachi #11 (65,138) - 3 days
Kagurabachi #12 (50,941) - 3 days

Starting to believe the rumor jp fans are not vibing with the flashback arc... :grumble
On top of the frequent breaks, this arc is just far too long.
Kakashi Gaiden was short and sweet while Hidden Inventory is paced at just the right length and has it's main focus on 2 fan favourite characters of the series.
Part 2 has neither of those and it's also far from ending. We still have to introduce the 6 sword masters and then the Settei War events. It's going to be as long as the longest kgb arc.

Jump needs to start serialising those highly potential action oneshots like Bad Tripper, Tate Roll, Warped Fairy tale etc

About Kagurabachi, Jump should just make the manga bi-weekly like Sunday did with Major 2nd after the author went in long hiatus due to health problems, the magazine can't lose its biggest new hit in years but also they can't just keep things like this, it just makes the fans worried about it, if biweekly worked for Shindo despite having a much worse situation it definitely would work just fine with Hokazono

I’m in no rush for those battle series right now.

I second that alternative.

Cursed Case sounds a little generic but it could have potential as Jump was successful with Supernatural Detective series like Muhyo and Roji along with Nogami Neuro.

Doggie Dog World, why the title? However I do like the preview art with the mask as I hope it’s played for a themed item that has significance.

Banchoism, is this a delinquent series? If it is, I’m quite excited actually because I have never read a delinquent manga. Unless you count YuYu Hakusho since it has delinquents in the beginning but becomes a supernatural battle series as it progresses.

I'm hoping that after this round, we finally have a GFC winner make their debut in the magazine, it would be a waste to finally start it up again only to do nothing for the participants.
I feel like we might get a 2-3 series batch that looks something like these if it's true:
- A 2-series batch with the first series being from an unserialized GFC winner & the second is from a unserialized participant from a past GFC
- A 3-series batch with the first series being from an axed GFC winner/participant, the second being from an unserialized GFC winner & the third is from an unserialized participant from a past GFC
- A 3-series batch with the first series being from an unserialized GFC winner & the next 2 series being from some unserialized participants from a past GFC

In Tabigoro Kuji, we trust...
