#6. Any tweet, specially japanese, about news, update or some interesting thing about the magazine or series has to come with a text of what that tweet means and also be on topic, if not it's going to be either deleted or i will edit the post.
#7. Refrain from self advertising or advertising Youtubers videos in the comments.
#8. Constant fanart posts just for the sake of praising a favorite series is prohibited, this rule doesn't apply for official art by Jump artists posted on social media, they're fine to post.
#9. Don't discuss or hype chapter spoilers before Sunday release, only comment if is related to a series surviving status and do it only inside the spoiler tag.
#10. Regarding rule #9, an exception will be made for when we have new series, in this case, spoilers will be allowed only for the first 3 chapters of a new series for the users who are interested in knowing informations and details about the new series, these spoilers will obviously be kept under tags to protect anyone that doesn't want to be spoiled, so don't worry about it.

I pray that Nue's Exorcist gets the JJK fanbase with its adaptation and completely poisons the fanbase for the years to come. Not out of spite, but for popcorn material to transform the fanbase into something completely weird.

But nah, realistically, it'll get the bad takes by Episode 2 when Suo's panties are onscreen. Then multiply your standard Nue discourse but now add 200 underage posters who shouldn't be allowed to use the internet without parental supervision. I hope the animation's good though, then it'll elevate it to Mushoku Tensei discourse which never ends and has things showing up on my feed even when I don't interact with the show at all. Plus, it'll create a hundred more bad takes when people start saying, "Why didn't Sakamoto Days get this adaptation?" and further incentivize tribal behaviour.

But anyway, it's always been a question of when, so it's a good thing it finally came through. Nothing but controversy will come of it, except in Japan, but too bad for me, I don't speak Japanese.

The idea that being an ecchi/harem series automatically excludes a series from becoming a huge hit is stupid. Especially in the case of Nue, which is relatively tame among such series and has lots of other aspects that do appeal to a more mainstream audience. Some well animated fight scenes and popular artists drawing fanart of the girls is really all it needs to go viral beyond its current audience.

We may be a bit behind compared to last year but we're doing good, we may or not reach 1000 page but let's continue discussing (In a healthy way) until the end of the fiscal year in December!

While I don't see the Nue anime suddenly pushing the series to the top the of the magazine I think with a good adaption it can do a ton for the series.

Nue is the type of series where some random japanese guy will post a clip on twitter and it will suddenly reach 100-200K likes.
I think backlog for Nue + digital sales (which are already strong) will benefit greatly.
Let's just hope the wait for this isn't too long so editorial will stop getting in Kawae's way. (im still salty about Zenno getting his screentime cut)

Pretty hard to say, it's not like the series has a estabilished "end point", and it shift from action to romcom, sales are consistent & ToC placements are doing well atm, so it's not like there's any reason for Kawae to rush the manga to end.

Doesn't help the anime was a mediocre adaptation. I remember fans were dooming about it when the trailers hit. Kagurabachi is in good hands and it's possible Nue could get a good anime too

I personally just care about seeing good quality adaptation of the works i love. Not exactly having expectations or demanding it "to boost sales to x amount to beat y series so that I can wank to it and showoff to the fans of abcde series that i dislike". I see a lot of such mindset nowadays everywhere.

While I agree on some parts; saying that Dandadan didn't recieve a major boost is kinda crazy. For comparison. The Anime started late 2024. Dandadan sold 1.3M copies in 2024 and placed 18th in Oricon's yearly ranking. Dandadan placed 3rd in 2025 thanks to the anime and sold a total of roughly 3.5M copies.

Also when the anime started Dandadan had 4m copies in circulation. Mantanweb reported shortly after season 1 that "Comics total sales exceed 8 million copies, doubling before the anime airs". While its talking about circulation numbers and not total sales that is still huge. (this is also believable since Dandadan reached 10 million 3 months later).

I don't know about hard numbers but here in my country weebs can't stop talking about Dandadan, and that's ONLY because of the anime. No one gave a single shit about it before it aired. So hearing someone use it as an example of a failed anime boost is just wild to me.

Ofc when i talked about it, I was referring to the manga sales in Japan. And I did not say "failed boost", i just said the boost was not major.

It did get a boost, but ofc not anywhere near giant jjk/KnY esque boost that a lot of chronically online people so hung up about

Not even ChainSaw Man got a boost that big. And it was one of the best animated animes from Mappa.

Chainsaw Man isn't exactly "mainstream-friendly," given the story's very harsh tone and the fact that combat isn't the main focus; it’s more akin to a seinen title.

Kagurabachi, on the other hand—with its aesthetic, a dark (but not too dark) atmosphere, and a heavy emphasis on combat—can undoubtedly be marketed more effectively to the masses.

Chainsaw Man sold more than 500K on its last volume before the anime. And I don't really see a dark atmosphere anime would do numbers just because of it. I think after the anime, it will sit on 200K sold in a month. And maybe reach 500K per volume on circulation.

The thing is, at a glance, Kagurabach* strikes me as more marketable to the masses than Chainsaw Man.

With its dark aesthetic—though not "too dark"—and its heavy focus on combat, power levels, and the kind of elements casual fans love, it could well be seen as a worthy successor to Jujutsu Kaisen.
