Wendy enchantment working on Laxus will never stop bothering me, Lucy with Dragon Gods dress getting this enchantment also bothers me, but talking about Lucy... It's over.

Lucy is the second strongest guild member now, she is stronger than Irene, she is stronger than August. All because of Earthbuild scaling. Laxus fight is even gonna finish before hers

Next chapter Entire Earthland powers Lucy up and she still wont beat Earth Build.

Wendy's enchantment boosted their magical energy while also giving them the Dragon enchantment. I do wish Hiro would start to focus on one fight at a time. Also, please make the Calamity bloods show some more interesting magic. So far, their magic has been pretty bland.

I wonder if Lucy, combining the Gemini stardress with her current Water-Moon form, could turn into a water moon dragon. This way we get a Dragon vs. Dragon fight. Also, could she use Selene's portal magic to open a gate to the Celestial Spirit world and summon the Celestial Spirit King?

So another excuse because the authors don't like do draw dragons?

At least it makes sense that everyone got the seal, like Laxus, because it not only gave them DS power but made them also stronger.

These latest chapters feel so off. Honestly, if you stitch all the events together, it wouldn't even cover 15 minutes of an anime episode. Mashima used to rush through Alvarez way too fast—fights wrapped up in two chapters—but now we're spending two whole chapters just for Laxus to throw a single roar and a punch. Super underwhelming, but at least it's always nice to see Laxus and Lucy

Agreed. When I was reading the Aldoron arc, I thought it'd be a significant amount of episodes when adapted into the anime. Only to experience everything so shortly, and to worsen it, the few episodes covered up until Selene's arc. I was hoping the anime team would also help to expand the fights but they're doing no better with just stillshots. What's worse is because us as the manga readers wait 2 weeks for barely any progress.

I'm loving Lucy slapping around Earthbuild. He's probably going to go down first. Confused as too why he wants to keep motherglare and Levia in human forms but not the others. And it's taking forever to see Mira.
And Mashima going back and forth between scenarios is making shit take way too long. Very different from the usual 2 chapters fights.

But thats a classic shonen thing nowadays


It's always the same shit.

- Only the MC or the MC group are the ones who fight the enemies
- Many enemies are useless or are not at fullpower because of plot.
- Many enemies are not even get a fight or screentime to show something
- Many side characters are useless too and the authors don't show them anymore
- Fights are pretty short especially in the anime because they dont' use extended scenes and filler scenes anymore. What sucks.
- We don't get many name attacks anymore
- Many fights are illogical
- Abilities and attacks are not explain anymore or at least in many cases they don't explain it
- etc, etc


I really miss the old days where shonen battle mangas and their anime versions were much better.

In this day and age, fan theories and headcanon are more impressive and plausible than the authors' work themselves . I don't mean that harshly as an insult but genuinely I've been more impressed with ideas I read online than the released canon material at this point. Fans are more in tuned with the story, honestly.

Nice to see some Lucy action. She’s just gagging everybody with her new strength as she’s slapping EB around the battlefield and basically told them they wouldn’t be much use lol. I hope to see Earth Build does something interesting with his magic than he has shown since he’s getting his ass whooped. I also hope we see more than just Lucy using her new form in action. Such as if her new power up also give her spirits a boost in their strengths. And summon all of them.

What Levia said didn’t made sense to me until I thought about how the CB are nerfed in their human form. He might be saying his dragon form makes him too OP to give a provide a good fight.

And looks like this fight is getting serious now. I’ll give it 2 more chapters to conclude. I wish Mashima would focus on one fight instead of doing the cut away. Especially the Natsu vs Ignia which are a waste of panels since that fight is not even close to be concluded.

I agree. Some fan theories and ideas are much better.

But I also read often, that the readers accept anything as long it has action or fanboys who just want to see their favorite character. If the battle, power up, etc makes sense or not doesn't matter. In these cases I like the author versions more lol

What I also read very often in many shonens which were axed that the readers were already bored after the first two or three chapters. Most reasons were, reasons like not much action, or a slow build up, etc.

Imo many readers in this age are not able to wait for a good story and build up. Many old shonens like Naruto, One Piece, Fairy Tail need their time. They need the build up. Ff they would have their debut in this age they would be axed too. Because of so many readers.
