i dont get any present, but i ate a lot, maybe too much. my friend had a bbq party at his house yesterday and there werent so many people there, so i was stuck with finishing the food.

im not sure if i pity you or if i envy you

i made a bacon, eggs, and cinnamon role brunch, and we're having a small ham dinner here (the real christmas dinner for our family will more than likly be thursday. and i'll be staying at my sisters house that night.)

i know you weren't asking me, but i thought i'd tell you anyways

kinda part of a tradition. usaully we dont have our big family christmas until feburary, or somewhere around there, so two days after christmas is pretty early for us, but it is the only time in the next few months that everyone can come together. mind you, we're bringing together four generations. the extended family makes it rare that we have everyone together for christmas, so we just break christmas up to two or three days. this last year, we had a christmas in July XD the way things are looking, the last one we will have this year will be march or april. depends on when uncle tom (yes, i have n uncle tom. no jokes :notrust

) comes over.

Well, that's the first time i heard about something like that. I thought every family (and i mean every family) celebrates christmas right on christmas day.

But celebrating christmas in february is a good idea, you could celebrate valentine at the same time. :XD

most families do celebrate it on the 25th. some may go the grandparents house afterwars if it's near, others may go a few days after or before, others fly over and spend all christmas at a relative's house... it all depends on the family. with mine, since we have fairly strong family bonds, (for americans XD) we try to celebrate with as many relitives as possible, even if it means we can't do it altogether. my oldest sister usaully goes to my brother-in-laws family for christmas, and then we have ours a few days or weeks later. and my mom would kill her if she didnt let mom see myniece and nephew for christmas XD

That's like my last family gathering. Usually everyone is there, but for the last several years, my cousins went to their in-laws or somewhere. But a week later, we make another one.
