Deidara always says that Art is an explosion. Although he did recognize other art forms (like Sasori), this probably has a subtle reference that he believes that true art is limited to 'explosions'. Explosion are arts would mean that he recognizes other explosions (outside of his) as art as well...

The first part about Chuukichi. The speech does seem more robotic in Japanese. However he was also the one that needed further harnessing from Kabuto, which means he may have been the harder to control via Edo Tensei. Chuukichi is probably left alive for a reason... I guess we will find out why...
