I can only assume this was quietly fixed sometime between my post and your reply, because I promise you the Admin > Group links were entirely missing. I had lost the Profile and Log links. I had even tried manually typing the admin/profile/ URL (mimicking the URL format of the translator page)...

From your Translator home go to the admin tab, then Releases > add. Then just fill it out as described in the FAQ.

Translator and Manga Editor home pages can display text blocks, one always visible and one "below the fold", in between the top info block and the notices. For translators these texts are modifiable on their admin panel, Profile > Details. For Manga Editors this no longer seems accessible anywhere...

Might this be the convex mirrors that they mount on posts on the sides of roads to help see around sharp curves? I dunno, that's a wild guess. Else I'd agree it's some wide-angle convex mirror on the car.
