I would rather say to start reading at chapter 37 because the story diverges from the anime and manga.

In the anime some events are rearranged in the beginning but it tells the same story like the manga and it sticks closely to it. The differences will not be in the whole anime, only in the beginning. The anime goes up to chapter 95 of the manga (that's volume 12).

The manga has finally been scanlated. I like it so far^^
