I guess that's just how that power originating from the Demon King manifests. When the DK took over his body he was also dressed in white and gold, such a stark contrast to the black and red we got from Zeldris. And Zeldris was a secondary choice. Mel was always the perfect vessel for the DK, that's what his father tried to groom him into all those millenia. I wouldn't say he didn't have a shredd of darkness in him. It's just that this is the physical manifestation of a vessel the closest to the perfect Demon King form. I wish we could have seen the DK in his original body during his prime.
What I said was he didn’t have a single shred of darkness "on him", not "in him". The powers of darkness are no longer visible on the outside of his body—unlike in Assault Mode, or even through his black eyes and the demon mark on his forehead. Because he keeps his power completely contained and under control on the inside, this form of Meliodas is absolutely perfect demonic evolution and only Meliodas could achieve it because he's just that good.

Perhaps to achieve Demon King status as a demon, you must master your darkness so completely that it no longer manifests externally on your body. You essentially become "pure" simply by exerting absolute control over your darkness—almost like the enlightenment stage of demonic evolution.

It is hard to say for sure since we have never seen Lancelot get serious post-timeskip. However, if his power-up is anything like the drastic strength boosts he used to get pre-timeskip, these fights should be a low-to-mid-diff victory for him.
Something else came to mind. Same fights but this time Lancelot is affected by Anne's Interrogator and can't negate it whatsoever. Who wins and what difficulty? 🤔

Really? If he let's her dance maybe, otherwise she's not all that aside from a huge target.

When scaling Lancelot, I usually exclude 'Shining Road' because it requires a special ST to be unleashed at full power. therfore, his combat effectiveness comes down to a physical fight and I don't believe "this" Lancelot —or any of the Four Knights—is on the same level as the Sins.

Mainly because we saw how the Sins handled the Perils while holding back to protect civilians, whereas the Knights were easily overwhelmed by them which is why I think they need a power up before fighting Cath.

Because his Lancelot seems kinda weak . Imagine getting your wrist broken by 'Temu Escanor' flexing his muscles—what would a direct punch even do to him? Honestly, the rest of the Knights seemed way more durable, especially Gawain, and she wasn't even in her Tyrant mode yet.

With the incessant debates about Lancelot's strength, I want to ask something.

  1. Lancelot(no weapons) VS King, Ban and Meliodas(one on one). Do you think he wins?
  2. Same but Lancelot has Shirojika this time.
  3. Lancelot(no weapons) against the three of them together.
  4. Same but with Shirojika.
1- He don't beat any of them without a weapon.

2- with shirojika he prolly beat King mid-high diff but surely loses to Ban and Mel. I think Shirojika will broke before his shining road get enough power to bypass Ban's durability as it could not damage a part of Cath in Annfwyn. Even if it landed it would NOT take out Meliodas since Mel is sure more durable than Cath but he would just full/vanish counter it. He prolly beat them with a suitable weapon tho.

3- he loses.

4- he loses.

That CATH, even with the Power of Chaos, was a FRAUD, he couldn't even leave a scratch on Post-Purgatory Ban. Here's an incomplete DK piercing his body with bare hands
