The actor is real, but the character is fictional. Does that make a distinction?

If you watch a film with a hot actress/actor, I'm pretty sure most people would say that:
'[Actress/Actor] was really hot in that film'
Or
'I thought [Actress/Actor]'s [Character name] was really sexy'

And not treat the character as devoid of the person which is acting them - taking only the personality into account

By this I mean, if you replaced the 'sexy' character with an incredibly unsexy actor/actress then I reckon most people would suddenly find them a whole lot less sexy - even if character personality is completely unchanged [in this hypothetical]
Or, on the other hand, take a character who is not supposed to be incredibly sexy, but they suddenly become a whole lot more so due to the person who is chosen to act as them

It's entirely possible that you are someone who are making a list entirely on personality (hell, I included a character based on this - but I put them solely into the HM and not the main list) - but I will leave this to our gracious hostess to have the final say on acceptability

- same way I'd also reject characters from other media (e.g. Marvel superheroes or [soon to appear in the rankings] book characters)

your question is valid guys, I won't reject the nomination, they are very broderline cases, but if you could ideally avoid such cases. That said Im myself not into games, so probably i wouldnt even notice. Even in my own list, i cant tell is x or y character design is based on a non fictional celeb.

There are plenty of games that are adapted from manga/animes, technically they are video game characters, but we just had an anime/manga characters round, I believe if possible, I prefer players to avoid nominating characters coming from original manga/anime medium ( I am aware that sometimes it's hard to tell, like in Pokemon /fate series, I believe game came out 1st). I have accepted last round maybe some characters that were coming potentially from anime adapted from original video games, though.​

This is a good suggestion, imo. I was thinking about doing this myself to further make things interesting.

I dont know, I'm not at all into movies and actors and can barely name a handful. But my novice eyes separate Jack Sparrow and Johnny Depp as two different people

The games I know generally portray males compared to women, and even so many other games does not portray humans at all, so I was having a hard time to come up with top 10 for this, too. It was still interesting to think about.
