IF Maradona coach Argentina like he should, they should be in the Final with Spain..

These teams are the most balanced in Offense and Deffense.. And Argentina of course have Messi... This world cup should be for him to shows why is he considered the best player right now..!

He already did in the Euro Champions, Spain League, Copa del Rey, etc, etc..

Let's go U.S.A. :yelling !!!!! Though we haven't looked too good as of late. One last friendly against Australia and then England. I'll be looking forward to it. If we don't make it out of group play I'll be pissed and anything past round of 16 is gravy.

Since I know the U.S. isn't going to win :darn, I'll also be going for England (minus the first game ;)) and Italy (in that order).

And Argentina of course have Messi...
and Higuain I am definitely not a Real supporter but the total amount of goals these two have made in the Spanish competition is amazing.

Damn Argentina's national football board or whatever it is that decides the captain.

Anyway, friendly games coming up soon :3 Going to be interesting to see how the teams perform...

If you guys are interested, I created a MH-league to McDonadl's FIFA World Cup Fantasy. It's game where you create your fantasy team of all the World Cup players, and each round you get points depending on how well your players did in the actual matches. You need to crate an account to play. You can start choosing players starting from 4th.

After you have the account go to "My leagues" and the code of the league. Here is the code for Mangahelpers league; 288477-71304.

Let's try.
I'll sign up.

Since this is the first worldcup to be held in Africa, I highly expect at least one of the african teams to shine.

I have full expectations for Ivoire.
I really like its squad.

I don't see that balance in offense and deffense in Argentina squad.
Even here, in Brazil, it's a common sense that current Argentina's defense is very, very awful.
But it's Argentina, I know we shouldn't underestimate my beloved rival.

If any african team are to shine, then my money would be on Ivory Coast; they have the best group of individual players it's now just a matter of whether or not Sven can get them to gel together in time for the tornament.

I can't believe Walcott was left out the England team to SA!!! damn you Capello! but I think he has his reasons and as long as it pays off, I won't hold a grudge.

I highly doubt that Sven can do anything out of the ordinary with that team, not enough time and his play style is way different from Ivory Coast's, but we'll never know, he's surprised me before, might do it again.

Also, South Africa will be a country worth counting while on the subject of African teams, I saw their team play feb last year when I was in RSA and even though it was over a year ago, they looked as well put together as they could and given another year on that I'd say they will be rather dangerous to underestimate because if they don't have the skill, they sure have the teamwork, interplay and morale.

Oh, and to emphasize on what Pirulitokun wrote - Indeed, Argentina's defence is in no way on par with their offence and they will be a very fragile team and I doubt their changeovers are brilliant either from att to def.

Argentina COULD have a really good defence, but somehow, their top players aren't in the squad... :eyeroll

The best laid plans of mice and men...Robben injured, Drogba injured, Ferdinand injured, Obi Mikel injured, Pirlo injured. And that too Ballack, Essien and the other players who are already out. Its a real shame for such quality players to be out. I also noticed the majority i named are chelsea players. :notrust

Argentina COULD have a really good defence, but somehow, their top players aren't in the squad... :eyeroll
I think his biggest omission is Banega as a backup for Veron. If the old man gets injured, Banega would have been a perfect replacement especially at the back of an amazing season.

So many key international players are getting injured a week before the WC tournament officially gets underway. I feel sorry for Rio. I want to know what REALLY went down between Rio & Hesky. :D

I'm kinda happy to see a new face in Dawson getting a shot now though. Although, he hasn't impressed me much at club-level, I sure hope he shines for England in the up and coming group matches. ^^

So what do you guys think of the 2010 WC Stadiums? Which ones do you like the look of?

Stadium Link 1
Stadium Link 2

Some of them look impressive but I can't see them being used much AFTER the WC. XD

Group A - 1st set of fixtures will take place next friday. So what do you guys think will be the final scores for the first two games of the 2010 WC? :amuse

1) South Africa Vs. Mexico
2) Uruguay Vs. France

A lot of players are getting injured right before the tournament; it's not a good look.
I'm gonna get working on my predictions and post up asap!

My bet on the opening games;
2-1
0-1

I'd think it would nice for the home team to win the opening. And I don't have much expectations for France this year, Uruguay might even win. And of course I calculated this based on my choices on the Fantasy Football game. ;)

(Anyone considering joining MH-league on the game? There is still time, but there is still no-one joined, so I just might delete it.)

Maradona coaching like he should.... Sounds awkward lol, it sounds as if he is being a poor coach for outside reasons rather than an overall inability to do so. Honestly, ANY other coach on earth could do better than maradona.... Seriously, maradona is a fiasco of such a humongous magnitude as a coach that they lost 6 - 0 against bolivia, a team who does not even cut it to be among the mediocre teams in South America -I don't have anything against bolivia, it'd just that the team does suck....-. Maradona has coached before the world cup and as far as I know he was awful, poor at giving directions and an overall disaster as an strategist. It's a real shame one of the only 2 teams in South America that has an honest shot at winning the cup has to put up with this solely due to ego...

On another note, I must say I am appalled at something a few apparent football fans here do. WTH is that about calling this beautiful sport SOCCER? The name of the sport is FOOTBALL, for the love of it do not insult it by calling it soccer.

Yeap.. Totally agree, but what can we do? Maradona is like a GOD there in Argentina.. But they have a chance is if he doesnt fu** up.

What a bad news this weekend for Ferdinand, Drogba, and Robben.. 3 more that goes to the list of injured that will miss the cup..

It's really sad, especially since this may be the last chance Drogba and Ferdinand get to represent their country in a World Cup; their both pushing 31-32.

Like a God? His religion is called maradonismo.... Seriously, look it up (I am almost sure it is merely a glorified fan group but they do call themselves a religion). Wonder what the odds are of maradone doing at least a mediocre job as a coach.... Gotta keep an eye for hell freezing over, war stopping in the middle east and flying cattle.... (who knows, it might happen lol)

PS: To all football fans, please stop calling the sport "soccer" (yes, I am going to keep at it, it´s just THAT appalling)
