It would definitely be more intense and emotional but I have a hunch that if Brazil reach the final; they'll win it. So third place is enough for them. :p

Galatasaray and Fenerbahce disagree.
River and Boca do the same :arf
International soccer (aka national teams). Sorry, I should be more specific even though we're talking about national teams here. :oh

Do you have anything against Brazil? :XD
You don't need to answer though. The hate towards Brazil here is as clear as water. I'm used to. :p

I don't hate Brazil or Brazilians. I just don't think it would be much of a final tbh. The hype over shadows their lack of decent performances. Chile, Mexico, Costa Rica and Algeria have been such a delight to watch. Pure entertaining football. If only one of those teams could've made it to the semi's...it would've been more fun. ;P

Okay.
Netherlands and Germany disagree.
Brazil-Argetina rivalry was born in 1914 according to Wikipedia, since then it was made 95 matches with 36 victories for Argentina and 35 for us and 24 draws. It is the time to draw this count btw. XD

As for Germany-Netherlands, it is since 1974 and had 8 matches.

No comments. Brazil and Argentina are rivals since they thought of doing a national team. Germany-Netherlands is just a childish fight comparing with us.

I count 40 matches at all but okay. Dunno where you get your information but you should probably use a different source.

There are two big football nations in South America... Wow what a surprise that they have played against each other that often then!
How many are there in Europe again...?

40 are only the official matches. The rest are ¨friendlies¨.

How is this relevant?

There's also Uruguay, who has more WCs than any nation in Europe except Italy and Germany.

Edit: no, apparently there are like 43 official matches, I dunno what you were talking about.

[joke] It is an abusrd put in doubt our title of biggest rivalry of the international soccer, it is a insult of all of us, brazilians and argies, who put our effort in hate each other. :nah [/joke]

Anyway, it would be a huge event, make a final of World Cup at Maracanã between Brazil x Argentina. It is the desire of all brazilians, argies and some other people who are interest to watch a exciting match.

No, no one outside of Brazil, Argentina, and nutcase commentators like Ray Hudson (one of the biggest Messi lovers in the world) wants to see Brazil vs Argentina. Most of the neutrals want to see Germany vs the Netherlands.

A rivalry would not justify a meet between two teams in an event like this for the final, the best teams of the tournament deserve to meet there, those that beat everyone. No rivalry can match the good performance of individual teams that reach a final based on good play. Tho there is a bit of luck in football, I always pray for the best team to win.

But they have played, all 4 teams have had the equal amount of matches in this WC, I go by that and their play in those matches.

I would like to see a final Brazil x Argentina, of course. It is a dream to win the cup, in my country, against our biggest rival.
But if we lose? It would be the end of the world! How would I argue against an argentinian after something like that? How would I reply a provocation like "shut up! I won a cup in your home!" The only way to destroy this argument would be being reciprocal. But God knows when Argentina will host another WC.

It would be like living while listening Brasil, decime qué se siente forever.

I can't believe that you hadn't heard of Ray Hudson before. The man is crazy for Messi. I know you probably don't see BeIn Sports in Argentina, but he is a legend. He's actually a fairly average pundit/commentator, but he makes rather silly comments when Barca's playing. I normally don't watch Ray Hudson's commentary, so I've actually never seen him commentate or discuss for a match where Barca lost. My favorite Ray Hudson moment is when Messi scored and he screamed, "RABAPOMPOMP!"

We have to risk, but I'm sure we will not lose. :p

You should have wrote that then.^^ :/

They also have played against each other recently, we can go by that as well, tho I do agree these are not so simple matches as its all open and it depends on the start of the game tomorrow.
