25 crosses...what are they, Moyes' United? Only one cross connected, although it was, admittedly, the goal.
There were a lot of problems. Baines was isolated, but did even more poorly than someone isolated normally does. Johnson wasn't that good. I thought Henderson didn't do that well. Sterling looked good at times, but his youth and inexperience betrayed him quite often. Rooney was absolutely poor, except for the cross to Sturridge. He missed that pretty open chance and his struggles in the WC continue. I didn't think Gerrard played well. Cahill wasn't helped at all by Jagielka, but Cahill made some silly fouls and didn't do enough to harry Super Mario.

Pirlo was a beast. Nicely done by him, Balotelli and Marchisio.
And Darmian. Hadn't even heard of him before (apparently Torino) but he really made a nice impression. And Sturrdige.
England got absolutely zero pressure on Pirlo, which is the one thing you have to do when playing against Italy.
Yeah, Darmian was great. De Sciglio might be the FIFA 14 RB of the future, but Darmian's clearly the real Italian RB future.
